hey there to all/ any who are still paying attention to this forum

i seem to stuck with a bad case of writers block on all but one story so i decided to shamelessly advertise and hope reviews will help me get more inspiration.

i have 3 ffviii stories in production. all primarily seiftis at the moment...cause i love them lol

1- After the rain The war is over,the good guys won.After spending 6 months in intensive psyciatric treatment,Seifer returns to the garden.He is welcomed,but his real desire was her...the ice queen...but how to tell her.....RE EDITED FIRST CHAPTERS AND UPDATED

Set List After being back for a year, Seifer is still reclusive seeking solice in music. Selphie decides to have rock gigs at the festival. Can she find the identity of the secret areas mysterious singer and will he be able to woo the woman of his dreams... (which has the fourth chapter in production at the moment...just a case of transfering from paper to this)

The fields of Balamb After the war, life at the garden is pretty much same old.Seifer is given an extension to become a seed,due to time Ultimecia stole.Quistis is happy to help, but the more time they spend together the more intense she realises her inappropriate feelings arising

yes, i do realise they all seem similar...its just the way i seem to write. im trying out new ideas aswell, like one shots and other subjects.

all constructive critisism is welcome.

and i kinda need a beta, so all volunteers would be welcome

Yeah i did read it, it was pretty good, nd i'm glad i'm not the only one who just had no inspiration to writee or updatte their ff8 fics, i used to write tekken as well but those ones have been on hold forever...but i just know if i look at them again i'll find heaps of mistakes.

But i've still been writing but in another catergory these days, and new plan since i can't change the topics title i'll just say that you can discuss ideas and thing relating to your fics on here as well.

But lol no need to be embarrassed, your welcome to discuss whatever about fics here, by the way if anyone has any ideas for how i could continue any of my fics feel free to say so.

Maybe I could beta for you...I don't really know how it works yet though, so you'd have to educate me :)

Uh sure...i would'nt mind that, i need a beta reader anyway and your a pretty good writer so sure i'd be honoured.

By the way i read 'vengence will be served' a long while ago, it was a awesome fic.

Yeah how does that beta thing work? It's quite confusing (to me anyway, but I am rubbish with all things internet :P).

How do you get a beta reader as well? I think I really need one haha, the whole idea of beta is unkown to me :S

Thanks! Actually, I've been thinking about rewriting it. I think I can improve the grammar, writing, and plot better now. That was my first fic, from two years ago. If you were impressed by Vengeance Will Be Served, then reading my most recent stuff would make you pass out XD.

I don't really know how that works though, so if we could figure it out I could probably find the time to beta for both you and chickabo, if you're interested. I've never beta read anything before, but I think I'd be good at it.

I think the easiest way is to use the document upload that lets you convert it to docX and send it to one another

and you wont have a problem beta-ing both of us...my work ethic can be...questionable sometimes, but when it's there, it's there

I was up til stupid o'clock trying to sort the formatting issues with after the rain and I think *touch wood* it's better

And chickabo i hardly ever update anything except my bleach fics these days so your not alone, hmm maybe i should rewrite my ff8 fic (forgotten but not forever) and as for the rest of yours i only read ff7 fics (very recently got into ff7) bleach fics, tekken fics and occasionly CSI fics (very rarely)

I'd definitely be interested lol, though I think me and chickabo are in the same boat; I have rather....irregular writing habits. I can either have months in between chapters or hours XD

I must say I'm liking this forum hahaha.

i have so far managed to write a whole 360 words for the next chapter in one sitting...*goes and lies down*

nah, i'm very picky when i'm writing aswell, so i might take ages mulling over one section which then makes me completely loose the thread of whats happening

i.e with my first two fics

i like the direction in going in with setlist and after the rain

but as they are a similar sorta idea, i dont want them ending up completely the same

and strangely, according to the time on this it is 8.26 am.......its 4.26 pm as im just in from work :/ lol

and i had to edit this twice...go me......

I completely empathise though, I'm exactly the same!

I cannot work on two fics at once though, even though none of my four are completed, I go through phases of focusing on each one individually until I get writer's block; when I move onto another of my fics, rewrite it and then continue it until the cycle starts again :P

It's a rather long, drawn out process....... hahaha!

I usually get updates up pretty quick, but I try not to write more than one at once, unless they're oneshots. I'm afraid I'd end up neglecting one, if I did it that way :(

yes, it has to be said i have been the reigning queen of procrastination since pre-standard grade english...7 years lol

but, as stupid as it sounds, i like my story...whats being done with it...at the moment so it seems good to me

so (it is 5 past 12) i feel i must write as i seem to be more creative at night

I procrastinate alot when it comes to homework, which is funny because everyone things I study all the time, after they look at my grades. I never study, school is just easy. Anyway...Off topic.

I usually don't when it comes to writing though...Guess it's more important to me then homework ever will be :) And you should be proud of your story. It's good :). It's kinda like a baby, you nurture it, in a sense.

Haha, you should see the way I'm able to procrastinate on stories. Last summer I was going pretty good, then school came along and I was still doing ok. I had enough saved up that I could still afford to take a break every now and then. Then I finally just give up because I've got too much homework and studying. Finally summer rolls around and now I'm telling myself "It's time for vacation, I don't need to work on it!"

I need to get something going soon, though. It's not like I have writer's block, I've got plenty to write on. I just haven't been motivated enough to open up Word and start typing, lol.

Ooooh, your gonna be in my homeland chickabo, I'm from Glasgow :P I don't have anything to do until the end of September when I start my second year of uni (I feel so old on this site when I say that....I'm only 18 :P) so I think that may be why my writing's getting a lot of attention at the moment.

Inspiration comes at the wierdest times. I just got the most random urge to write a fic with Ultimecia as the central character. Grrrrr, damn these 2:13am urges hhaa.

As for not getting motivated to open word; I'm different. I always open word when I turn on my laptop, I just find that when I start writing I don't like what I've written and end up closing it again. Hahahah I'm so fickle :)

Lol yeah I think most people on here have them, like at first when I joined I used to update almost everyday, I actually finished my first tekken fic in 4 months, now it takes me that long to write and type up about 3 or 4 chapters, my longest period without writing was 9 months.

The thing is I’m actually further ahead in most of my fics than what’s actually type up. Like I’ve got sheets of paper with almost the entire story written but it’s the typing that’s so hard to do as I get distracted, play a game I just got or uni gets in the way. I used to slack off on homework when I was in high school but now I’m in university I can’t really afford to do that anymore.

But awesome there’s another bleach fan here, I love the manga and anime, and alas like you two said you go in phases of category’s that you write, I’ve been asked too many times to finish my tekken fics but I’m more into my bleach fic.

As for the bit about them being your ‘baby’ your right I guess that once you write a certain oc or fic too much you get attached, I can’t really stop the current bleach fic cause I like writing Ayume or Kyo (OC’S) too much and I won’t be satisfied till its finished. And yeah you should try a bleach fic their way fun to write *yay for anime expressions*.

For my first fic, I used to update every few days, but now it takes me a week or more to write a chapter, edit it, then edit it again, and so on...Sometimes I get further ahead by a chapter or two. It depends on if I feel like posting or not. Recently, I haven't even been writing it down on paper first. When I first get an idea for a story, I'll grab my notebook and start scribbling down notes about the characters, pairings, setting, etc. Sometimes I'll start writing a chapter on paper, but by the time I go to type it up, I change everything around so much it's easier just to type it up without writing on paper. Plus, I make so many changes on the paper itself, no one but me can manage to read it :)

I so love Bleach though! I'll have to brainstorm some ideas as to what to write about it, because I have none right now. I have ideas for tons of other topics, I just have to motivate myself to start writing them. Once school starts up again, I'll be too busy writing college applications and working to write very much :(

Yeah i used to be like that too, oddly enough i actually wrote a one shot yesterday and finished it, can someone read it over for me its a bleach one and i got inspired by a song oddly enough.

I've put a couple of more chapters up on my Revival fic, I'll probably edit them over the next couple of hours if people review *hint hint* hahah But I dunno what it is, lately I've been totally psyched to finish this fic, and I've been able to sit down and write whole chapters quite quickly (which probably shows in my writing lol)

I'm still confused about the whole 'beta' thing, does anyone know what you need to do to get one/be one etc. its confuddling me a bit o.O

i think it is just a more formal arrangement that what angel wings-008 does for me. i change the documents into docX form n send them, so i think its maybe the exact same thing

and aeondaniel....write more of the sex and the pilgrimage stuff, its great!

In order to beta or get a beta, first you have to go into DocX and establish a connection to the person you want to send documents to. After both people establish the connection with each other, you can send documents through DocX, and then the beta sends you a message after reading it on what you can improve, and any other thought of the story.

Ahhhhh, I get it now, that DocX had me confused as well hahaha!

I'm gonna update Sex and The Pilgrimage soon, I think I may have wrote what I already have a bit too quickly so I'm gonna redo those chapters before I get the next one out; it was only a silly wee idea I came up with, I didn't expect anyone to seriously like it hahah!
