StykTopic: I thought That this game was pretty good and you should've given it at least a chance. Who cares if it didn't have as great of a storyline? Jak X doesn't and that game's.....amazing. |
|
LostInPrettyEyesI don't think it had much of a storyline at all. The game could only be officially completed if you did everything right, and to actually know that you have to go everywhere in every chapter and talk to people they should have made EVERYWHERE a hotspot from the start. The only real plot was the Shuyin/Lenne thing, and they were both NPCs.But I liked the game, the only thing was they could have had SO MUCH more variety with the dress spheres. |
|
StykOh I see then. The story line you experienced was dumb. |
|
JaniquaYou know, Shuyin/Lenne wasn't the only storyline. You've got Paine with Nooj, Baralai, and Gippal. You've got the whole conflict with the Youth League and New Yevon. And Yuna looking for Tidus. I admit, the script wasn't written as deeply as it is in other FF games, but there's definitely a plot. |

.thepiratejilt.I think way too many people are judgemental of the game because the girls wear skimpy clothing.Becuase they wear the skimpy clothes, the whole thing is COMPLETELY shallow, and every cut-scene is all fan-service, and each conversation is without ANY depth. The people who say that are being superficial and as such, hypocritical. Like Janiqua said, the script wasn't really as in-depth as most FF games's, but HONESTLY. It's not as bad as everyone makes it sound! | #5 Jun 06th 2006, 11:30pm . Edited Jun 06th 2006, 11:31pm

habboyeah the only depth was the Shuyin and Lenne thing but there was quite alot of content, the only thing i didn't like was some of the music |
|
JaniquaThe MUSIC? You didn't like the music? Why? I loved it! I mean, sure, I wasn't too crazy about Real Emotion, but after listening to it a couple of times, it's become one of my favorites. And 1000 Words made me cry. For real. I loved the music! I really, really did. |
|
.thepiratejilt.I didn't much like the SUNG songs...but the soundtrack was great! Very different from the previous Final Fantasy music.| #8 Jun 08th 2006, 7:01pm . Edited Jun 08th 2006, 7:02pm

OnThatDizzyEdgeI agree with everything posted before me. I cried with 1000 words, and it was a pretty song, but no where near as good of a soundtrack as it's predecessors. The game was quite simple, and I do think Square could have came up with a better sequel. For what it's worth, I enjoyed the game. I wanted Tidus and Yuna to reunite, but I could have done without it as well. It would have made for the opportunity of good fan fiction ;) |

habboExactly 1000 words was alright but could of been better if they made it less techno for the main game, like the version in the credits.Real Emotion showed that Spira had changed so I was fine with it, but they should of stopped there with the techno stuff. Gullwings tunes RUINED the whole idea of final fantasy, it made it separate from the other games (not that being separate is a bad thing, but someone the music always linked them I really thought, that was cool) and it got really annoying, this is where the game lost it's final fantasy feel. However there was a tune I do like in ch5 in guadosalem if the guado came back, I love that background tune. Ummm can't remember the name but knowing my luck it was in ffx lol On a note I do love techno music, it just ruined my idea of final fantasy, although I am looking forward to ffXII because they left the techno alone phew. | #10 Jun 12th 2006, 6:23am

OnThatDizzyEdgeThe version of "1000 Words" in the game wasn't techno. What are you talking about? It was the ballad in the Thunder Plains. Nothing techno about it at all! But, I do agree, most of the music was synthesized and techno-tastic. It got old, quickly. I liked soundtrack to FFX MUCH better... | #11 Jun 12th 2006, 6:58am

habboit was a little bit of pop and techno stuff in there you can't say to me that all by instruements, most of it was but not all. As I said the version in the credits would of been better.Listen to the beginning again, don't tell me its a piano because it aint. | #12 Jun 12th 2006, 11:03am

habbosorry i was tired last night *sigh*What I was meant to say I know that it was a ballad, but I would still class it as a pop song since it sounded like it was studio made, eg no instruemet. However the one in the credits had an orchester behind it, hence why I prefer that one. Now do you get it? | #14 Jun 13th 2006, 7:53am

OnThatDizzyEdgeSorry for being soooo snappy when I wrote that last message. I was in a bad mood, not that that is a good excuse or anything...but....Well, I'm sorry :333 It does sound like a pop-ish song, but with a bit of a ballad twist. I know the very beginning of the song sounded sort of synthesized, but it was just for a couple seconds (If I remember correctly) and it still doesn't mask the song...at least, to me. I will agree with you that the orchestrated version in the ending credits was ten times better. Plus, it was the full song, not a few minutes of it... | #15 Jun 13th 2006, 10:04am

Siren's BellX-2 wasn't all that great to me. Just too girly-ish and honestly, I didn't really like having only 3 characters the whole game. And even more honestly, Square could've ended it better. First Tidus disappears and through magic he comes back? What the heck man?| #16 Jul 27th 2006, 11:48am

a certain slant of lightIn comparison to other Final Fantasy games, the storyline was a bit lacking, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It's much better than some of the drivel on the shelves out there right now and back when it was released.| #17 Dec 27th 2006, 1:00am

BalthierFlarei really wanted this game...until I played it. I was like,"Wow, this is stupid!"The music wasnt as good as FFX. How could thye bring him back? What about all those other Zanarkand people, if they used his method, could they come back? It seemed stupid to bring him back, although I wanted him back, it just seemed strange. I like some parts but it's nothing compared to FFX. But its nice to find out what happened to some characters. | #18 Jan 01st 2007, 7:05am

.thepiratejilt.I was glad to have him back, but at the same time I was like "wtf?"Because he was a DREAM OF THE FAYTH... (basically he's not even a human :D) ....if you bring him back, that means the fayth are back, no? And doesn't that mean Sin is back or something? :/ | #19 Jan 09th 2007, 4:59pm

habbothe only thing we know is that he is made up of "memories", which is really annoying and Square could of done so much better explaining his return. And BTW he needed to return because of that small clip at the end of ffx. | #20 Jan 11th 2007, 3:16am

GlimmerousI HEART Final Fantasy X-2! It appeals to my girly, hyper personality! I was confused about Tidus suddenly appearing though...I didn't get it. But the ending...*sighs* so romantic!| #21 Dec 18th 2007, 11:05am

Videl86Well, there is an ending that you can choose to get where Tidus only exists as pyre-flies on the farplane..and Yuna basically says that she's atleast happy that she can see whenever she wants, but yeah... I think that ending is too sad. >> I'll go with the one where the two are reunited. Even if it doesn't make that much sense. |
