Have Taichi obsession or just want to talk about why Taiora is right? - Taiora Love Forum

Guys! We really need to stop bickering. The point of this forum is for Taichi lovers/Taiora lovers to talk. If you don't like either, then don't read/post. We all have a right to an opinion. Who are we to say who's right? I'm not going to argue why Taiora is better, or Sorato makes sense. I like Taiora. I know Sorato is canon. We get that. But as a fan, I have a right to an opinion. In my opinion Taichi and Sora are better suited for each other. I used to *despise* Sorato/Yamato. I don't anymore. I'm warming up to it. I have friends who are fans. I just don't think we should bash any couple or character. Digimon is a great anime. We don't want to ruin it by pairing wars. I hope I'm not coming off mean. I just really think we should all try to get along. The point is, if you don't like Taichi/Taiora, don't come to this forum. A forum that is *dedicated* to Taichi/Taiora. I'm sure there are plenty of Sorato/Yamato forums out there (I'll check out the Yamato ones! ^^) We're all entitled to have an opinion but I think this is a place where we should discuss our likes. Not argue. I won't reply to someone if they start to bash my opinion. I didn't attend to make anyone mad. As you can see in my profile, I am usually very open in my couples. Let's just remember that couples aren't the only thing that makes Digimon great. Spread the love. We're all fans. Let's try to get along. Sorry for the rant! ^^;

P.S. I love Taichi! Easily my favorite character. Taiora is my first 'ship EVER! It will always hold a special place in my heart. :]

I don't mind people disagreeing with me, I actually encourage it, it's when they make themselves out to be stupid that causes me to rebuddle sarcastically or in a not-so kindly manner. They said that the creators were on drugs (and for the record, can we get some originality on that) simply because the show did not go the way they wanted. There are several things that I would have prepared happening in the show involving fandom ignored characters like Jyou, Iori, and Miyako, but the show went the way it did. Do I complain about it, yes, but if we all had a say with how the show was suppose to go, then it would be riddled with too much favoratism.

And I don't hate the pairing of Taichi/Sora, just that I find a majority of their stories to be written out of character. But then again, most stories focusing on couples tend to be written out of charater. I use to somewhat ship it (didn't do it proudly, but still shiped it) until I began reading stories. They threw me off the ship.

There are a lot of things that I don't like (e.i. How Daisuke's character is portrayed). I just think that pairing wars are stupid (not saying that this is one). I do agree a lot of Taiora fanfictions are written out of character. I *despise* Taiora's where they make Yamato the bad guy. I used to really LOVE Taichi/Sora but I've grown out of it a little. I do still enjoy it, and read it. I just think that there are other great 'ships too. Yamato and Sora *are* canon, and I'm not going to be one the rampant fans that deny it. The fact is, I was disappointed in the ending (not just the 'ships, but some of the jobs. Astronaut?! Diplomat?!) But obviously, that's what the writers/creators wanted. I've grown out of my stage of 'denial'. The point is, I prefer Taiora over Sorato, but I do enjoy a good Sorato. Pairing wars have really divided this fandom. As long as people are respectful of opinions, and don't go shoving their choices down my throat, I'm fine. I do 'ship Taichi/Sora, but I'm not going to shove it in your face. I also ship Taichi/Yamato, Daisuke/Takeru, Takeru/Hikari, Daisuke/Miyako etc. I'm really open in my couples. I'm so thankful that I'm not just a Taiora fan anymore. By expanding the couples I read, I expanded the number of great fictions available to me. Again, I do agree on what you said about the fanfictions. There are still a few good stories out there. Oh well. As I said, I'm not going to be the person trying to persuade you. Differences make conversations more interesting. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yeah, like I said, sorry if I sounded pushy! The end didnt go the way many wanted, but meh. XD. And, out-of-character fictions are annoying, especially when, say, Yamato tries to rape Sora. Their usually well-written but Yamato wouldnt do that! Or Tai commiting suicide, but an out-of-character fic isnt bad once in a while. But theres just to much of it! But when you think about it, it is kinda hard. Well, it is for me, depending on the situation Ive started with. Its mostly shoujo people writing it so, it comes out like that! (Tho. I REALLY cant stand it with Ryuki's, where Ruki loses her tough spirit and becomes totally reliant on Ryo!) And Im glad for people who can overcome denial of the ending, but Im the sort who just cant. I guess thats why I seem so pushy in these sorta debates (and very passionate about them too!) I couldnt deal with the end of the manga of Full Moon *sob*. I dont know where Im going with this now XD But I think you get my randomised points XD

See, I'm going to have to disagree right there. Fanfiction is, by definition, using the already existing characters as they were in new plots and new scenerio. While everyone has different interpretations of the same character, the ones who do it right will act like they did on the show. If you aren't going to write them in character, then chage the names in the story and post it at fictionpress.com, as that's what it's there for.

Yamato tries to rape Sora. Their usually well-written but Yamato wouldnt do that!

Ok, instead of pointing out what we disagree with, can we please talk about Taiora/Taichi? I cant be bothered to argue back to people who only see flaws in what others write! Its THEIR fiction! A fan's fiction! If you dont like it, dont read it! Anyway, Im obsessed with Taichi! Tai-chan 3 Dunno what it is! ^^ Altho. Pokemon was the the first anime I ever saw, Digimon (and Cardcaptors) were the first animes I ever saw and loved dearly! (On CITV I think..) and they remain very special to me, as do all the characters. In Digimon, it was Tai whom I always loved! I mean, I was, what, 7 or 8? (I cant really remember! XD) And, "Wow! Ive never seen hair like that! (in cartoons) and those goggles! He is just SO cool!" etc. Hey.now I think about it..Tai was probaly the first anime character I ever admired or something..XD Now I love him even more 3 XD

Agreed and ditto! I was reading a forum thing, and it said something that I COMPLETELY agree with! Basically, as long as there are fans of Taiora, it will still live on! Yes, Taiora forever!

I'm TOTALLY Tai obsessed ^__^, he's just too adorable not to love. I think out of all the 01 Digidestined he grew the most, becoming the amazing leader we all know and LOOOVE!! haha.

I know. I don't get how people can hate him! He's just such a great character. I hate it when people think he's shallow. That he's just the funny guy, who leads them, /accidentally/ in the right direction. It's very annoying. xD I think he grew the most too. Every other leader in Digimon falls short of Taichi (I still love them, though). Taichi is just such a great character. I've liked him ever since I was little, which is weird. I'm the girl who gets annoyed with the leader, and sympathizes and loves the minor characters. Right away though, Taichi was my favorite. That really is saying something. xD I usually like the lovable dorks or the unexpected heroes. GO TAICHI!! :D

YaY!! I completely agree. And another thing I totally love about him is how easy you can write about him. He can be such a dork sometimes that it's easy to write humor with him, but you KNOW he's also a great and caring friend after the accursed Christmas episode so Romance is easy too ^__^. I liked the other goggleheads, but none of them could really compare with Taichi. ^___^, GAAAWD I sound like a crushing school girl haha, but I don't care!! Sora made an irrational mistake when she chose Matt over Tai. YAY TAIORA!!!

I think I screamed when Sora did that. I was so sad. I wanted to jump through the TV and hug Taichi. And then never let go. ;D No one can deny Tai grew up. Any of you watch the *dreaded* X-mas. That Christmas episode was so heart wrenching. I wanted him to go "NO! ISN'T IT OBVIOUS WE BELONG TOGETHER? SINCE WHEN DO YOU LIKE MATT? LEAVE HIM FOR MIMI OR SOMEONE! I LOVE YOU!" ...and then whisk her away to live happily ever after. xD That episode honestly ruined 02 for me. I can rarely watch episodes after that now. Because it has Sorato things in it. *glares* Like holding hands, and WAH! I accept the fact that it happened. But that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it, dang it! FANON FOREVER!!

AHHH!!! Don't I know it!!! I was in SUCH shock! For a while I absolutely despised Yamato AND Sora, but I've gotten over it. I still won't read Sorato though (*shudders*) It just doesn't... feel right I guess. It kind of just came out of NOWHERE. But the look on Tai's face!! It was just like "AWWW!!! HOW COULD YOU REJECT A FACE LIKE THAT!??!" (*hugs Tai*) I'm officially bringing him to this forum, I'm sure he'd feel SO much better with all of these obsessive people ^____^

YES! Because I am scary Taichi obsessed. I hated Yamato for a long time. Now I love him! (Just not as much as Taichi ;D) I'm really grateful I started reading Taito's. Thats were I really started to appreciate his character. It kinda sucks how in Taiora's Yamato is the bad guy, in Taito's Sora is the annoying stalker, and well, I've never read a Sorato soo...*blinks*. But I bet they make Taichi the guy that failed *wails* at winning Sora's heart. I have to admit, when I'm in a bad mood, I do a little Sora bashing. Only in my head. As much as I love Sora as a character, anyone who messes with Taichi... *shakes fist*. I don't support any bashing, and I'll never write it, but I don't deny having some bad *cough* thoughts about certain characters. COURAGEOUS LOVE! :DD

Yes!! Exactly!! Yamato is almost always the bad guy in Taiora stories and it drives me insane! But what's REALLY annoying is that the bad guy he plays isn't even that great. I'm a HUGE fan of villians and when I find a really good one they usually become my second favorite character (next to our beloved Taichi a course! XD)! But the lame predicible ex-boyfriend types are the villians Yamato always seems to portray, and he has such amazing potential to be an awesome villian!! (*pouts*) haha, I like Sora.... but I've noticed I really only like her when she's with Taichi (*grins*) And even then sometimes her character isn't grasped well! haha, most of the time she comes off too... un-Soraish..... lol.

I like Sora too. She's my favorite female in Digimon. The only time I was kinda bitter about her, was when I was on a huge kick of Taito's. It wasn't that I didn't like DIGIMON SORA, I just didn't like the portrayal of Sora in the stories I read. And I hadn't seen the episodes in so long, I was kinda going by what I was reading. xD I can only really picture Sora with Taichi, too. I guess I'm biased though. Because I really like Yamato and Taichi together too. I love their friendship also. That's why I love 'Following The Footsteps of Destiny' and all of Broken Angel01's fics. They're some of the only Taiora's where it they maintain the friendship element between all of them. I wish more of them were like that. -_-' Yeah for Taiorato friendship! YEAH!

Haha, Sora was definately my favorite when I started watching the show and I still love her ^__^, but I've got to say that Mimi is hilarious! It wasn't until I went back to watch the show after however many years that I realized how funny she was!! haha, so I basically can handle Taichi being with just about anyone because his personality just clicks with any and all. I guess I'm pretty biased too ^_~

I know. I never realized how great of a character Mimi was. When I was little I was all like 'GIRL POWER' so I obsessed over Sora (because she's the most like me), and kinda forget about Mimi and Hikari. I just started liking Michi. I never really gave it any thought, but I read a few one shots and it was so cute. Espiecially this drabble where Tai was such a dork. xD We SHOULD start a club! Yeah! lol thats the name of the Taiora doujinshi Im doing on Deviantart *hint hint*...ok, bad way to start XD (Besides, my drawings SUCK) XD *bangs head* Im a TOTAL Taichi fanatic, he's too cute!! Today, I bought a long-black arm thing, like Tai-chan had in 01 *is obsessed and mental* XD And, Sorato is ridiculous. When it comes to canon, or whatever, if I dont like, I never like! NEVER!!! Altho. there is one other couple I hate more, Sorato is one couple I REALLY hate. I mean, WHEN did she like him!!?? WHY DIDNT THEY SHOW IT??!! . If they had, it would have been more believable, but NO, they just flung it in our faces. I heard a rumour they did..but I dont think it's true (I saw the 02 japanese end, and they were the same T_T) But meh. WE'VE got FANFICTION Muahahahaha! And, when ya write your story, keep it in-character ^^ (It's hard to find in-character Taiora fics these days T_T)
