it's by a Britt, Diana Wynne Jones. it's about this horridly vain, cowardly wizard, a rather sookie fire daemon, a girl who as the eldest of three, belives it's her duty to fail. She is turned into a 90yo by a curse and randomly finds Howl's, (the wizard) moving castle and joins the wacky family
