Topic: Who is Rhysande?
I am a little intrigued for the fact that you gave access to that rhysande character to the hidden portions of eldritchwiki. Since I believe that the only authors are the brothers Obsidian-fox and Xylix) I must ask if one could grovel to gain access to the hidden sections?

Rhysande is a family member. :-)

I might be willing to give you and Iiowyn, and maybe Tain Shari, access to the spoilers sections... but beware the pringles can of knowledge, for once you pop, you can't stop. On the other hand, you might get the opportunity to help in story creation... especially brainstorming and beta-correction, re-wording suggestions, even presenting possible subsections that will undoubtedly be chewed to pieces by us before some heavily altered version of it makes it into the work (we do it to our own work, too) and that sort of thing. Actually, if you weren't willing to do that, I doubt I'd give access. If you like that as much as the reading, it might be for you; I'm open to experiment as we move forward, and collaborative writing is one of those experiments for which I'm open (especially since the story is a 10+-year project, really). Anyhow, ask yourself very seriously whether you actually want to be sitting in the author's corner with the 500 pages of semi-random brainstorm notes that go from present to post-apocalypse and reveal almost every single plot-twist you're likely to see, and many you're not.

Xylix would need to be open to it, too, of course. I'm not sure of his opinion on the matter. He'll probably answer later.

Nah, don't bother about it, I don't really have the time to help, and since I'm not a native english speaker, I would not help much. (And the fact that I haven't a clue about hellsing or lovecraft (Because the whole eldritch thing is Lovecraft, right?))

And here, I was going to give some rediculous nonsense about having to be related by blood, marrying into the family, or buying ones self in....

I really like that buy ones self in idea... well... actually... I just like the idea of getting money. ;)

I'm fine with it, as long as they are serious about being Beta readers, and aware that /I/ may diagree, or /obsidian/ may disagree and what that can entail. For those that don't understand what I'm talking about I'd point to the still hanging chunks of argument in the Vampire discussion, and in the Toughness Factor discussion sections. ;)

That, and they need to actually do something worth while with their power. For instance, beta reading, suggestions, brain storms, or similar tasks.

I actually found it rather interesting watching the back and forth between you guys before the restriction log came into effect. It was a hidden window into the mythical world of the story author...either that or a literary form of the Springer show at times =)

Hmmm, to weigh the ability to influence the story vs. the almost total elimination of discovery from reading a new chapter.

Then again, it is weighing discovery/creation in small bits vs. discovery in large chunks...with a sometimes substantial period of time between such discoveries =X

Time to ponder...

Pondering time is over.

I would jump at the chance to help with the creation of this story. I'm not a writer, but I can preread and help edit, reword and such. Could also help with research, which was what brought this story to my attention in the first place.

Well then, I'll discuss it with obsidian_fox when he gets off work. We'll see then.

So coy. I am greatly amused. Almost, I wish you had not revealed our tie as family members, just to irk the curious. But then, I'm evil that way.

"That Rhysande Character"

I meant no disrespect with the "That Rhysande character" comment; I'm not a native english speaker, and I learned most of my english reading fanfiction, and sometimes I can be insulting or rude without meaning it.

By the way, You don't have Xylix as one of your favourite authors... XD

I wasn't insulted. I thought it was funny. But I'm sorry if you felt I was making fun of your language skills; it wasn't my intention.
