Topic: Torchwood - Jack/Ianto or Jack/Gwen?

THIS IS ABOUT TORCHWOOD BUT MOSTLY JACK!!!

I was reading online somewhere about somebody in the UK who went to a signing and had met John Barrowman (Jack Harkness). Apparently he was very sweet and struck up conversation with the person while he signed an autograph for them. He said something to the person along the lines of, "Are you looking forward to more Jack and Gwen together next season?" and the person just shook their head and said, "No! Jack and Ianto".

Apparently a lot of people around waiting to get autographs agreed with the person that Jack should be with Ianto but John was really shocked and thought everyone wanted Jack with Gwen!

I think what the writers of the show should do is get onto some of the fan sites and fan fiction sites and see exactly what the fans want.

I love ALL parings in the show but if they put Jack only with Gwen that will probably ruin the show.

Where would we be without our Ianto/Jack flirting?!?!? They are so cute!

I'm a Jack/Gwen fan myself, but I guess I see what you mean about the flirting. Ianto's a bit miserable when he's not doing some cheeky flirting, so I can see why it might be good for his character. It seems there is a much bigger fandom behind Jack/Ianto (certainly in fanfic) than there is for Jack/Gwen. Hmm, I guess we'll just have to see what we get in Series 2 (but I will be a J/G shipper through and through)! ;)

JACK/IANTO TOTALLY! Honestly. I understand Jack/Gwen and I never expected to support slash but it has to be Jack/Ianto. Let's face it, Ianto's cute and Jack is hot!

Yes, I am sure John Barrowman was shocked that ALOT of people like Jack/Ianto but I'm a Gwen/Owen shipper myself. They have more chemistry and spark than Jack and Gwen. While yes they do have a bit of banter it's better with Ianto. Anyway the poor guy could use the distraction.

You say let's wait until the next series. But I know something that happens with Jack and it's not good for Ianto!

I mean, there IS a lot of Jack/Gwen chemistry... but then Jack/Ianto has history...

SPOILERS FOR SERIES 2 TORCHWOOD - DON'T WANNA KNOW LOOK AWAY NOW!!

Ok, don't know whether you know this or not but I'm pretty sure this info is easily available. James Marsters - famous for playing Spike in Buffy (Love the guy) is playing a rogue Time Agent and one of Jack's exes. INterested yet?

WEll, as it happens it turns out he might not be quite so ex and they have And I quote a horny and voilent encounter. poor ianto

oh and I think Tosh gets married and there is a Memory Theif which brings back bad experiences - especially for Jack.

Sorry if I spoiled anything but it's only teasers since we don't actually know anything that happens!

I don't watch Torchwood but my friends obsessed with it and we say Jack/Ianto, NOT Jack/Gwen.

I do understand why so many people vote Ianto instead of Gwen but I just like the Gwen/Jack moments more then I like the Ianto/Jack moments.

Ofcourse every single person has a different taste in everything and I wouldn't shoot anyone for wanting Jack to go with Ianto.

Besides if it were possible I would totally ship Jack & myself.
