Topic: Favorite Captain Jack moment?

Calling all Captain Jack fans! What was your favorite Jack moment in series 1? It can be a scene, a quote, anything!

I think mine is the bit with the psychic paper when he first meets Rose. That makes me laugh every time!

I liked the bit with the physic paper, but also when he's confronting Tommy in that same episode, goes to pull out his gun, all serious and determined and pulls out a banana, then behind him the Doctor pulls out Jack's gun!

Oh yeah, I love that moment! But also now i've been thinking about it I love the bit in Bad Wolf with the Trinny and Suzanna robots when he pulls out that gun! I don't think we even want to know where he had been hiding that! lol

I suppose I liked the whole thing with the Darleks where he was prepared to die to give the Doctor more time.............. and when he came round and realised the Doctor and Rose had left him which was so sad :(

I almost cried. My household all have a big thing every Saturday night when we watch Doctor Who but me and my bro's were all like 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They can't leave him behind! Not Jack! Not JAAAAAAAAAAACK!'

It was worse when for a moment I thought they were gonna kill him off! I think I stopped breathing............... then Rose came along and saved the day! GO ROSE! hehe

I was crying my eyes out then! Its just the way he dies to save the Doctor! It kind of reminded me of Enjolras in Les Mis - sorry if you haven't seen it. He's marvelous! Jack deserves to be reunited with the Doctor and Rose! BRING BACK JACK SOONER!!!

I think it would be great if they brought him back at the very very end of this season and then left it on a cliff hanger for about 6 months lol............. what do u think to that?

Well I think that may be the cliffhanger you know. I'm not sure what will happen to Rose (I hope its nothing bad!!) but I know that the last 2 episodes of this series are set in the modern day Torchwood Institute! So maybe we'll see Jack torwards the end?

Mind you, do you think that it would work with just Jack and the Doctor without Rose? I'm not sure it would... it'd be hilarious but they'll clash a bit too much - there'll be no variety.

I hope they don't change the character of Jack though or that he isn't too bitter that they left him behind

I've just thought wouldn't it be great if they found out that Lynda wasn't dead after all and she could take over Rose's place after what she said about she could go with the Doctor?

Yeah, it would be nice reunite all the people who battled the Darleks (Doctor, Jack and Lynda)

I don't think they'll get a new female companion until a few episodes into the new series. The Doctor will have to have time to get over Rose but least we'll have Jack there for comedy value!

I agree well the best guy compainion by any means. I love the way he died so heroicaly in the last episode. Awwww he died for the guys!! He's sooo cool. I also the loved the way he said:

'I like to think of myself as a criminal'

when he and Rose are on the spaceship out side of Big Ben. Bless I love that guy.

He is by far the best Doctor Who companion ever!

Rose has to come in at second best but when Jack is around forget the gals, he steals the show lol!

I'm so glad they decided to make Jack a morw permanent character! Apparantly the writers were not convinced that Jack would prove a hit with audiences initially so they only wrote him into a couple of eps!

I think much of Jack's popularity comes from the excellent casting! John Barrowman is amazing and really inhabits the role.

John is an incredibly talented and versatile actor and I think that just helps to add a lot to Jack's character because he can play from both sides of his personality when required. Jack can be both the hero and a little bit of a criminal lol but we still love him because of John!

Its so great that there is Torchwood for when he isn't in Doctor Who.

A line from Jack is in season 3, The Sound of Drums episode, I won't say it incase that season isn't out wherever people reading this live. But if you have seen it, its the bit were the Doctor's just left after saying a certain line, then Jack sees Martha's expertion and says his line, just three words, but great. Hope you know what I'm talking about...

I really feel sorry for you poor ppl who can't watch season three yet (it comes out on the 6 July in the US right?) and so, for thoses of you that can't wait I've got a site for you which show's every Doctor Who episode since Nine (and some old ones) that have been released so far in England. BUT if you do watch it on this site, PLEASE also watch it on TV, as Russle T Davies is ending it after season 4,and maybe if there are still loads of views someone else will pick it up.

Ah, I know what line you're talking about. I've been obsessing over it since it aired, so... yeah.

Favourite Jack-moment... tough choice, because I generally love any scene with him in it... but my two favourites are the scene in "The Empty Child" with him and Rose and "Moonlight Serenade" on the invisible spaceship tethered to Big Ben, and THAT conversation with the Doctor in "Utopia" when Jack's in the room full of radiation.

Best jack moment? hmmm toughie. ok has to be in Torchwood when Jack and Jack dance toghether. Jack (well ours anyway) looks so sad and it's nice to see he's vulnerable too.

umm another has to be the whole story about his friend vincent and having to call him vanessa then he says - my guess is your not from around these parts and the whole scene with tosh, and he's trying to figure out what she's up to in Greeks Bearing Gifts.

and the whole stopwatch thing :P
