Thirty years ago Shinra Inc. took over the world, bending all to their will by use of extrem military action.

Inforcing strict laws to insure complete obedience, and killing all who opposed.

Then fifteen years ago a small faction of civilians banded togather forming a Rebel army AVALANCHE, which went into hiding in various locations around the globe hitting target after target, all the while adding more members amoung the adults.

Afraid that this inserection would spread to the younger generations who knew nothing of true freedom, Shinra made a plan:

That when a child turned five years of age he or she was taken to one of four bases:

Midgar

Junon

Shinra Tower (which lies in the middle of Corel Desert where the Goldsaucer once stood)

or

Gelenvia (a large base built on the Great Glacier)

To be trained as SOLDIERS and fight AVALANCHE.

No they are in: CADETS the apprentice stage of SOLDER (pretty cute huhn? ^_^)

CADETS have to attend training classes. You enter CADETS at 14 years old, at that point you're assigned a MENTOR and given field missions and training intensefies!

MENTORS are fully trained senior SOLDIER members and only take on one apprentice each.

Yes Vin can be an "apprentice" Turks member. You can make up a mentor for him ((maybe his mentor is mean to him))

I know Cloud's is (I haven't figured out a name for him yet)

But he's a major perv and abusive to Cloud (So later Zak gets put in an Ablisk* for two weeks for trying to beat the ** outta him!)

* Ablisks are small stone pits that a CADET is put in for being really bad, it's right out in the elements sun, snow, rain. They're given one meal of bread and water a day there.

The training for SOLDIER is really harsh, some kids even die during training.

(MENTORS usually only train them after "normal classes" meaning the kids get very little rest)

(which is why Zak gets himself sent to Ablisk so much so he can sleep, tho they've been getting wise to him so now every half an hour one of the CADETS is sent to dump a bucket of scorching hot water over him during the day...)

There are two types of CADETS:

SOLDIER CADETS

or

Turks CADETS

Tho they all take the same training classes and share dorms.

The only two differances are:

1.)Turks CADETS have to take extra classes and do office chores; Filing, delivering memos and messages between departments, etc...

And

2.)Before they begin training SOLDIER CADETS are injected with Mako and Jenova cells. (Vin is accidentally given this procedure((Or maybe Hojo just did it to f*ck with him...))

Sphiroth and Rufus are supposed to be the same age I belive.

They are in this (they're 17 year olds)(you can only enter SOLDIER or Turks in this at age 25 and up)

Sephiroth and Rufus used to be lovers, now their rivals, Rufus lives on the base (We're in Midgar)to be with his father.

I was going to have just that about Rufus having a TOY XDXD

His fav is Reno (God I've got to stop read doujinshi...)

Tho he's tried Vin too! (but Vinnie bit him! XDXD)

Tho right now his current obsession is Cloud (isn't every ones?)

Cloud is 14 so he's just gotten his MENTOR and has yet to go on his first field misson.

you can have Vin be Clouds age if you want this is AU after all.

CADETS are sent to different bases every so often to train under diffent conditions Junon for battles on the sea, Shinra tower for desert survival courses and Genelvia for traing in colder climates.

We start out in Midgar (that's were all first year cadets are, but the CADETS could have been raised at any of the bases.

(Cloud for exsample was raised at Gelenvia Base)

DORM LIFE

Dorms are CO-ED (probably the stupidest/most briliant idea Shinra ever had)

there are six kids to a room ("just" ie: Cloud, Vincent, Reno, Zak, Sephiroth and Tifa.)

The rules are you must be in your rooms by 9PM (and no excuses you need to use the little CADETS room Sephie) each dorm room has a restroom.

You can stay up and be as loud as you want, but you can't go bed hopping in other rooms.(bed hopping in your room is completely optional! ^_^)

wake up is a 5AM for showers (The shower is on of those rooms with multiple shower heads so all the boys have to share (at the same time!)Poor Cloud and Vinnie...)

Then breakfast in the mess hall, then you got half an hour Briefing with your MENTOR about you assignments and what classes you take and when (Classes and times change day to day) and what extra chores are expected of you.

Then classes or whatever (your MENTOR makes your schedual so if he wants he can say "My bed all day for F*CK session" (poor cloud is made to do this all too often...)

then at noon its two hour lunch brake and free time (most kids just sleep through this time.)

then more Classes or whatever.

7PM is supper time then you get the rest of the night off unless told otherwise....

Weekends Friday-Sunday is free days for CADETS (younger trainees are only given Saturday and Sunday off)

during free days you can stay on base or (With premission from MENTORS) CADETS can go off base to "certain" areas (they are not aloud to run willie-nillie every where)
