Fanfic Contest

Fanfic writers of ALL ships and non-ships are welcomed.We have four categories for you to submit stories in. You can enter one story in each category (no more than four stories per writer.)

First Category – House + Cameron(Hameron)

Second Category – House + Outside character (O/C)

Third Category – House + Cuddy (Huddy)

Fourth Category – Any other ship not included in the above, i.e.Stacy, Wilson (friend or slash), general stories about the hospital and teams.

(We are looking for Hameron and Huddy judges-those who read this genre, but won't be entering a fic for judging.)

Why doesn’t House/Stacy, House/Wilson, Chase/Cameron or other relationship stories receive their own category?

Economics folks.Having run fanfic contests before, we don’t receive many submissions outside of the first three categories.We can’t afford prizes for every possible ship or situation.However, if we receive more than ten stories for a specific “ship” we will create a new category and let everyone know.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to those who will be at least 13 years of age by September 1, 2008. This Contest is void where prohibited by law.

2. HOW TO ENTER: The Contest requires entrants to write a story set in the world of House M.D.® To enter, write a fan fiction story which is between 10,000 to 20,000 words in the following categories:

1.Gregory House and Alison Cameron as romantic interests

2.Gregory House and an original character (O/C) as romantic interests

3.Gregory House and Lisa Cuddy as romantic interests

4.All stories relating to the characters on House M.D. not covered by the above categories.

Email your story in either PDF or Word format to between September 15, 2008 and September 30th, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time.) Make sure you send your name and address with your entry.

We will also post your story or a link to your story, in its entirety, on the Fox ® House M.D. website under Forums/Fanfic. Your story will be posted annonymously.Readers will vote by the Title of the story.

Mature will have any sex that is more than a French Kiss or a quick fondle of body parts.

To be eligible, all Story Entries for the Contest must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on September 30th, 2008, the Contest Expiration Date. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per category. Entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), forged, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, misdirected, or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules will be disqualified.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Story Entries deemed inappropriate, offensive, defamatory, obscene, profane, harassing, that may infringe upon or violate another party's rights, or for any legal reason, in its sole discretion.

By submitting a Story Entry, you represent and warrant to Sponsor that (i) the Story Entry is wholly original and has never been posted before, or at present, on any website or in print, nor has any Beta viewed the story (ii) you have all rights necessary to submit the Story Entry in the Contest in accordance with these Rules, and (iii) no party other than you has any right, title or interest in and to the Story Entry or any part of the Story Entry.

3. SELECTION OF CONTEST WINNER: On or before November 1, 2008, Judges selected by Sponsors, will judge the valid entries based on the Judging Criteria of originality (35%), legibility -grammar, spelling, proper format for easy reading by the public (15%) and entertainment value (50%) ("Judging Criteria"). In addition, there will be a "Reader’s Vote" which will consist of votes received from the public, by title of the story, in each category, at between October 15, 2008 and October 31, 2008. The fanfic with the most votes from the readers in each category will receive one “vote” towards the final count.The fanfic with the most votes in each category will win.

Entrants (writers) cannot vote in the categories that they entered. Only one vote per category per member will be accepted.

The winners will be notified by email on or before November 5, 2008.

4. PRIZES: House related t-shirt or hat. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of the Sponsor. Prize is not transferable.

5. CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsors and Fox, their officers, directors, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for, (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, or illegible entries; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or usage of the prize; or (iii) printing, distribution or production errors. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. If for any reason the prize is not received after be sent for delivery, the Sponsors are not responsible for replacing the Prize. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsors at their sole discretion reserve the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Contest. Void where prohibited.

6. DISCLAIMERS: Sponsors are not liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or misuse of prize(s), participation in Contest, or any technical malfunctions of the computer Internet system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, forged, illegible, mutilated, mechanically duplicated, mass machine printed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules. Sponsors are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or third person's computer and/or its contents, related to or resulting from Contest.

7. FOX, UNIVERSAL AND NBC ARE NOT SPONSORS: By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge that Fox, Universal and NBC are not sponsors of the Contest and shall have no liability to any person or entity with respect to any matter arising out of or relating to the Contest.

3. The owner/moderator(s) of this forum is solely responsible for content posted within this area.
