Well I liked it, can't wait to see the direction in which this'll go. It'll be interesting to see what events occur in a world without NERV. Can't really say much for now due to there only being one chapter up but i'm looking forward to the next one the new character seems quite interesting so far though.

I can tell you one thing: expect NO canon characters. At all. I wanted to create my own characters. I hope that doesn't bother anyone!

Oh, and check the meanings of first names of the characters. You'll see that they *actually mean something*! Gosh!

Glad you liked it. I have to tell you: expect long waits between chapters (not too long, maybe just a week and a half), because this is a hard fic to write.

I can't really see what it has to do with EVA beyond canon events being mentioned.

I'll wait and see what you're going to do with it, but the 'no canon characters' thing has me wincing.

Yes... In a 'sort of' kind of way. There is a reference to the Second Child in the first chapter, and there *will* be a mention of Commander Ikari. He may even- (*snip*)

You'll see. I probably didn't give an hint what so ever in the first chapter, but that's to be expected.

The canon characters are weird, and nobody ever writes an Eva story without the canon characters. Except in bad crossovers. I wanted to do things differently. If that's okay. Hmm?

It's set in the same universe which is generally enough for a lot of fanfics which use different characters. Many Star Trek based Fanfics use completely different characters but set it within the same universe so it's still got the same Trek feel to it. One group took it one step further and even make their own series based after the war with the Dominion.. maybe we should do that with Eva :P

What, make a series against the Angel without the Eva characters? New pilots *within* the series? Replace the characters? That's a good idea! And original.

Well I'm starting my own NGE story very soon that doesn't even take place in Japan, and there are no canon characters among the main stars. Well Gendo Ikari might make one or two appearances.

Heh, sounds good, I'll be the drunk Canadian pilot, I can break out the pet beaver, eat poutine, and wear a toque. Oh yeah, and my Eva would have to be made birch, or borrowed from the US. Not much military funding, you know how it is.

Hurray for uncannily accurate (other than the beaver) cultural stereotypes.

I don't know if there's a union or not. But if you want to start one, go right ahead. If there's an organized group, than anyone who needs a prereader can find one from that group.

Yeah, as for 'I Am', it's a good story, but I've only read the first chapter as such. And... SECOND CHAPTER UP FOR GHOSTS! Read. And weep. I say that a lot, now don't I?

...huh.

Pacing of the chapter was uberquick per usual, and I'm having trouble with the flood of new characters. I'm hoping this is it for a little while because otherwise it'll start getting real confusing and as is I can barely fix them all in my head, but maybe that's because of my headache. I hope you discern who is and isn't important soon...

Other than that, the writing is definitely up to par and I didn't notice any grammar/spelling/the like mistakes, good with that. Story is unfolding at a slow pace contrary to your usual speed for whatever reason, and I might ask that you step it up a bit.

It's too early for much else, go on how you like.
