I was watching season 3, cuase i never watched much of it, but anyway, in ep. 12, second half, renamon askes impmon why digimon need partners, and he replyes "... no self respecting digimon needs a partner, especialy a human"

this means that digimon can have partners that are digimon, right? or posibly a different specise from nother dimention, like the scubamon of the second season, though probably not a digimon like them

While it's easy to pass of Impmon's remark as just a dub mistake (even though I myself am not clear on the original Japanese line), it is an interesting idea. Just what does it mean to be a "partner"? Does it simply mean a friendship, a bond between two people/Digimon/creatures? Does it have to involve a Digivice?

i could take a guess, but what is a plot bunny?

i wonder what said non-human partner would be... a digimon? or something else?
