Topic: Gauntlet and Demons
This thread is going to be a discussion about Vincent's claw and demons.

Discussion topics:

1. Is Vincent's claw detachable armor? Or is it a permanent appendage that Hojo grafted on?

2. Are Vincent's demons controlable? I have read a lot of fics that have Vincent in NEED to feed them every once in a while. Do yo agree with that?

Vincent's claw is just a piece of armour. You can see a gloved hand under it in Advent Children.

As for the demons, I'm not too sure... But I think he can obviously choose when to use them (Limit Breaks), but then can't control them afterwards.

I agree, and that's how I write him. I always hated that brass claw, being more of a sterling silver kind of girl myself.

I think he can obviously choose when to use them (Limit Breaks), but then can't control them afterwards.

That works for me. ;)

Brass claws are a common greek (or roman) characteristic of monsters, and that's the reason why Nomura sensei decided to include one in Vincent's design. At least that's what I read.

The monsters... I don't know. There's alot of evidence that he can't control them, but --no spoiler-- I have seen cutscenes in Dirge of chaos... it seems like if Vincet's too angry, he can't control the demons,but if he can stay calm it's cool. I haven't actually played the game yet though, so I don't know for sure.

Yes, I know that. But since my Vincent isn't a monster, then he doesn't need the claw. ;)

In my opinion, I think that because of who Hojo was and what he was capable of achieving, I think that his left arm is really robotic and is possibly ditatchable.

As for the demons, in DOC it is stated that he needs the protomateria to control Chaos. But I think that this may also have an affect on the others.

1) I don't like when people make the claw his only hand. . . Yet I just wrote a fan fiction making Lucrecia cut off Vincent arm. Hmm...I'm such a hypocrite ;D

2) Yes and no. I like to think that he can more easily suppress them if they are happy. When are demons happy? When they have full belly of course!
