People, I'm getting sick of those romances that I don't even have to read them to know them. I know what would exactly happen, you always have the same setup and same payoff.

I loved one of you post in the Summary "ORIGINAL." Ahem, I've seen a half-dozen girls being in their cabin in the middle of no-where, latest updated just a week ago. :/

I'm tired of same thing over again. You present the same obstacles and have them solved the same way. The awkward first encounter, that miraculous decision made once in a life time, language understanding, training despite your fraility to their standards still impress somehow, going through the real hunt, and get laid. Or you would have that predator be stalker doing like what he always done yet "tada" he finds his love(could be any girl he's seen from the tree of the balcony or anywhere he's seen thousands of times.) It's all about giving some arbitrary reason to have that girl be in approximation with that predator at all. Yeah, you can have your variations, but even those come off as cliches.

You just somehow have things narrowed down to these formulas. Even you detailed writers fall into the same category sometimes.

"They find you beautifuland worthy of a mate. Even though their mentality, as of the mentality of all species, is to find ultimate attraction with their own species.(It's going to be a hell of harder cliff to climb than say, interracial relationships) or "Oh, but some predators would not like that(oh, really with the exception of both of us having sentient mind, far more complex emotions, it's the equivalent of someone marrying their pet.) even with their honor system(That does not equate to love)." or "Those corporates who despite of all having different names will have identical personalities, stupid emotionless hateful people that perfectly represent the evil of humanity.(Don't you even try to make them human, have other drives and purposes in life than just be evil to be your punchbag to vent your anger on?)" or "People are scumbags all together(love the cynicism feeling that dominates these people that have a change of scenery), I'm bored being human, being with Predators rock(you think they magically accept you, a teenage highschool student *scoff*)."

You all will put that in somewhere into the story no matter what. You all somehow got a hard on, and make your version which has the predator suddenly make them an exception out of the millions of humanity.(They'd either kill you or ignore you altogether. You are a buck or a doe with young, to them, no exceptions unless you try your hardest to impress them.) This is about the other half of Fanfiction. Your version of compelling drama or romance, is a snooze for me because you never take it up the anti.

Can't you try something else? Take what you first comes to mind, and consider 'Has someone already done that?' and do the contrary? It's always women fallen for the Predator guys. Ever try to do it with a male human where 'Beauty IS the Beast?' You can have a totally different arrangement of chemistry on how that could happen. I have my "By Spirit, Not Body" story still terribly stuck on Hiatus trying to get Rebooted, but I have every intention on making this a beacon of having the genders swapped for a change.

Corporations actually making the best decisions? Something that questions morality, but in the end is what has to be done? Can't being too humane be suicidal if using that against soulless Aliens? Ever think about the benefits of science and experimentation occasionally? I mean, so much of our technology we use now has been first experimented first to find out the dangers then to make it safe for us now. What if you can't communicate with the predator for the whole story? Taking forever to just prove your not just prey. (It's a totally different alien mind don't forget)

I'm presenting you the crueler, harsher end of reality. That for once in change stop thinking that what you believe is the ultimate reality. "What if your wrong? What if I'm wrong? What if how we see it is not what it is? If not so, what?" Diversity for example can be the ultimate goal of humanity or the self-destruction to us.

Please do something else with your stories. Because I can swear I can call them all one thing: AVATAR So basic, so straight-forward, so down to the lowest denominator on components yet surprisingly a large fraction of the people can excuse it for being genius for reaching the broadest audience. "Basic-ness is Genius" There's the difference between doing it with sincerity or doing it as an excuse for your laziness. (Well there's a difference between how the original Star Wars won the world's heart and still does today and how AVATAR deluded us last year.)

I'd like to see one of these stories where at first you think the Pretador will love her back, but then he takes her head as his trophy.

I agree with this on a number of levels. Though I haven't read any of those cookie cutter romance stories I sure have seen enough summaries that don't at all interest me. Personally the only predator/human relationship I can accept and enjoy is Scar and Lex, simply because they worked together in the movie.

Right now I seriously just want to read a female predator and male human romance fic. Something different, like you said. It's indeed time that "beauty" gets to be the cool beastie in the relationship. I'm glad that someone else is thinking this, but it seems no one has the courage to write one. I've thought about writing one, and what it would be like, but I have tuns off story ideas swirling around in my head that I have much more interest in writing.

Anyway this was fun to read. I'm glad someone brought it up.
