Character topic.

Gah. This was posted 2 years ago and I'm just now reading it, but oh well.

Why does no one care about Jehan? He's my second favorite character from the book.

I don't know why there isn't more devoted to the character. Any time I listen to a musical/opera adaptation I wonder why there is no Jehan song. Sadly, the character often gets overlooked because of time or possibly because the writers don't see Jehan as a large part of the plot or main storyline. But to me Jehan is a crucial part of who Claude is, plus to me Jehan adds some comedic relief.

Originally I had created topics for Esmeralda and Claude Frollo, but then people asked me why I hadn't done that with all the characters...so I just created topics for each character. Unfortunately the forum hasn't been as active as I'd like it to be.

Either he's deleted entirely in the various films or he's substituted as Claude just so they didn't make the church look bad *facepalm* That particularly annoys me, since they're so distinct characters on their own and the huge difference is amusing.

If I ever write a Notre Dame de Paris fanfiction, Jehan would be a huge part of it. I think there's a lot more to him that no one really bothers exploring.
