Right. And so it begins...

From inside a small cave, very faint moans were heard. The young deer, Bambi, was having yet another nightmare. He twsited and turned in his sleep as he relived that awful moment where he lost his mother.

"Faster Bambi! Faster!"

He had run for his very life. The only sound he heard was a booming sound of thunder.

"MOTHER!" he yeled, jolting up from his sleep. He was sweating profusely, panting hard and scanning the surrounding area.

Faline awoke to the sound of thunder. She panted, and sighed. 'It's just the thunder,' she thought laying her head back down. Her eyes watched the sky, and she let out a small sigh. 'I wonder how Bambi is doing?' she wondered, listening as the rain started to fall.

(Uh, how old is Bambi, exactly?)

Bambi lay by himself as night slowly turned into day. He awoke to a very brisk summer morning. He strecthed his hooves and legs, cricking his neck slightly.

"A beautiful day...I haven't seen one like this in a long time." he said, trotting down a path.

Faline had the same thoughts as Bambi as she got up. "It is so nice out. I think I'll go out for a nice relaxing walk," she stated outloud.

She started walking down a path, admiring the beauty of the day, and the smell of wet earth was pleasent, but dangerous, since it bogged down other scents.

As Bambi walked along the path, he saw his reflection in a small puddle. He smiled, admiring his small stump horns and his taller handsome figure. He had grown by a lot, but he was still a teenager.

Out of all the thoughts in his mind, he would never forget that one day when he "accidentally" kissed Faline. It was embarassing for sure, but sometimes, he found himself enjoying it.

Faline stopped when she saw Bambi. She smiled as she thought about the day that they had "accidently" kissed. "Hello Bambi," she stated, walking forward to the puddle.

He blushed a tint of red. For once, he didn't back away. He found himself walking forward.

"Hi Faline. You're looking great today." He said, almost out of his mind.

Faline blushed a little and replied, "Thank you Bambi. You are looking well yourself."

She smiled at him and looked him in the eye.

All he could do was stare into her beautiful eyes. Unlike last time, he ran away. He wanted to right now but...somethign was keeping him there.

"I uh...wanted to know if you wanted to go to the festival with me..." he said, smoothly.

Faline blushed a little more, and replied, "Of...yes Bambi, of course!"

Her heart was fluttering, and she was suddenly very nervous. This was so...nice. He wasn't running, and he was being...a Prince.

"Faline...you're probobly wondering why I'm not running now huh?" he said, inching very slowly towards Faline.

"You see...after a few years, I guess I've realized that my heart is yearning for a special feeling...when we..." he gulped. "Kissed...for only a breif moment I felt that feeling. Now when I'm around you, I see beauty in everything." he said, flirtasiously [IS THAT EVEN A WORD?]

"I never realized...how beautiful you can be Faline. I guess I needed to give it time and now look at things. I'm starting to really liek you know."

His face was getting very red, but he didn't notice.

Faline blushed and looked away embarressed. She was suddenly a little fawn again, and she barely noticed Bambi getting red. "I...really like you too Bambi," she replied softly.

With a small smooth smile on his face, he leaned in and licked Faline on the cheek.

Faline blushed deeply, and gently licked his cheek back.

He smiled, nuzzling the back of her neck.

Bambi offered to walk Faline back to her cave. They got there and Bambi licked her on the cheek.

"Had a good time Faline?"

"Yes, I did Bambi. Will I see you anytime soon?" Faline asked.

She wanted to talk to him as long as she could before retiring for the night.

"I'd love to stay..." he said seductivley. He followed her inside and laid down next to her.

Yes, you can do that. We just finished a Bambi X Faline roleplay, which hopefully, I can throw onto a story. All I need is someone to be Ronno or the Great Prince to get this down right. And I plan on making this a song fic too.

[ok then, the next day...]

Ronno got up and looked out of the cave. It was quite early in the morning, the birds had barely began chirping, and the sun was not yet high. He didn't mind getting up early, all strong stags did that. Besides, if he wanted to take a walk, he had to start before his mother got up, otherwise she would follow him with every step, making sure he didn't stumble or something.

"I wonder what I could do today," he thought, trotting along a random path.

Bambi woke up next to Faline. His eyes slowly opened up as he gazed into Faline's. "Morning, my love..."

Faline yawned a little and replied, "Good morning to you too hon."

She stood and shook a little. "It's early. Do you want to go for a walk Bambi?"

Meanwhile Ronno, still following the random path, realised he was heading right into the area of the forest where Faline's cave was located.

A slight smirk spread across his face. Although he thought Faline was quite beautiful, he actually didn't really like her, he didn't like her personality. He knew there were a lot of other young female deer in the forest, but the reason he wanted Faline was because he knew that Bambi wanted her too. It was just to prove to Bambi that he was stronger.

Bambi smiled and nodded. "Of course." He stood up and exited and then, his eyes caught glance to Ronno. "I'll handle this.."

Faline stopped at seeing Ronno. 'Of course! HE had to come! He always spoils everything, or so it seems,' she thought. "Okay Bambi," she replied softly.

Bambi quickly avoided Ronno, making sure he didn't see him.

Ronno trotted towards Faline. "Hey, what's that annoyed look about?" he said. "Or were you hoping for a visit from that little coward Bambi? Anyway, I was just passing by, so..."

He stopped suddenly, sniffing at her. "Why is his scent all over you?" he asked. "He must've been here, and quite recently."

(Small question, did they just have an innocent sleep-over, or did they do something that would give this RPG an R-18 rating if details were provided?)

Faline only smiled a little forcefully and replied, "What makes you think Bambi was here Ronno? He walked me home last night though."

"I'm more of a man then you'll ever be Ronno. At leats I'm generous enough to show a girl liek Faline REAL manners. And speakign of cowards, let me think back a little so I can refresh your memory. When I was talking with Faline during that spring, you remmember the turtle? You went screaming MOMMY all the way home. Then when you almost killed my mom with that little stunt of yours and then went running away screaming MOMMY again? You disgust me Ronno, you know NOTHING abotu what being a friend is. The onyl reason you mess with me and her is because you think you're better then everyone else! AND ONE DAY YOU'RE GOING TO LEARN IT THE HARD WAY WHEN YOU'RE MOUNTED ON A WALL IN A CABIN! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A JERK, A BULLY, AND I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU DO ANYTHING TO FALINE I WILL MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LIVE TO SEE THE NEXT DAY! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR RONNO???"

At that point, Bambi had no idea what he had said, all that he knew was that he had Ronno pressed up against the wall with fear deep in his eyes.

"At one point Ronno, I even thought to be generous enough to make a truce with you, but after what you did to threaten my family, threaten Faline's safety, insult my father, whom should I remind you is THE GREAT PRINCE, can easily bust you! I beat you fair and square in that fight Ronno, and I don't know if you'll ever be able to change..."

Ronno was even more scared.

"One day you'll learn what it feels liek to be loved Ronno. But until then, go. NOW."

Ronno thought at that moment it would be best not to refuse Bambi's request. Even Faline looked absoultely stunned by Bambi's unusual aggression. "Uhh... I was just leaving anyway," he said, quickly moving to a safe distance.

At a few metres out of Bambi's reach, he was beginning to feel more confident again. "His Majesty the Young Prince must forgive my intrusion into the vicinity of his princess," he said in a very sarcastic tone, and with a sarcastically bowed head, though still backing away. "Though I must remind His Majesty the Young Prince that one of royal blood does not swear or raise his voice. These acts are reserved for the common folk."

With that, he quickly sprang away, breathing a barely audible "Just wait 'till next time."

And then...it happened. Bambi couldn't take anymore. Unleashing a newfound anger inside of him, he charged forward and slammed hard into the back of Ronno sending him flying into a tree, twisting his body around it. Then the young buck leaped onto Ronno and pinned him down.

"Don't. You. EVER. bring my father into this Ronno. You don't tell ME what I CAN and CANNOT do. And don't you even think of being royalty in this Ronno. I am the soon-to-be Great Prince of the Forest! And you are nothing but a punk whose jealous of a father's love and a woman's respect!"

Faline leaped over a little, and stood behind Bambi a ways away.

"Besides, I'm sure your mother would be very dissapointed when she finds otu that you bullied me and Faline awhile ago." said Bambi, threatiningly. He kenw what Ronno was like and he knew he was intimidated.

"You don't even deserve Faline. She needs someome who will treat her with the proper respect, not treating her like an object. So get it through your thick head, Faline doesn't like you and she never will. She loves me, and I love her. I know why you're after her. You're just jealous that I have the respect that you want! You don't just get it like that, you have to earn it Ronno!"

He turned to Faline and nuzzled her. "Come on. Let's go."

They started walking in opposite directions without another word. Only when Ronno was far out of Bambi's reach he called "Only cowards charge at their rivals from behind. Real stags battle antler to antler." With that, Ronno leaped swiftly out of sight.

"I know...it's not that I want to win you over Faline. True love isn't like that. The lady always gets to choose. Would you rather have a handsome young buck who will treat you with respect or a buck who is self-centered, egotistical, and a bully to your friends? Who would you rather pick Faline?"
