Topic: The worst character

Who do you hate or dislike the most? Who should not be included in the game? Why? This is a bit of a character bashing forum and debating, I guess, but it also lets people know popularity and stuff. As all of you know, I hate Ashe and love Larsa.

i hate ashe...that's for the female category...

for the males...i dunno, Vaan? they're all hot in my pov.(i mean the main..._guys_...basch, baltheir, gabranth, larsa, vayne, al-cid...)

Vossler got on my nerves! Everytime he ran I could here that awful sound of his armor rattling! It drove me insane!!!!!!!! I hate Vayne now, by the way. He killed his own family members! If he lays ONE FINGER on Larsa ...!

Probably. Gramis must have had it tough putting up with a son like him. I mean, he killed two of his brothers and is oppressing the people of Dalmasca. He wants Vayne out of power and stuff, but does not want to kill him, leading to a terrible fate for him . . .

What about that speech that he gave to the Dalmascans?

It seemed very concilliatory at the time.

I thought then that he was the bad good guy, like Leo.

Yeah, I fell for that too, but I guess it was only a lie or something. He is the final boss of the game, after all.

OMG if your family and everything is taken away from you, would you still be as strong as her??? I think not! I know for sure I won't, since I'd become all emo and **...

Anyways, give a good reason why you hate her!

Oh and I probably hate Vayne the most, because it's kinda obvious why...

yeh, Vayne smells...

usually i stick up for the character everybody hates...but i can't do it here, besides, Ashe reminds me of Yuna too much.

Ashe can get annoying, cuz she may be sad, but she don't have to get in trouble or need help ALL the time and then insult the other characters for doing it...

umm, i'm not so keen on Larsa. it took me a whole 2 hours to figure out if hes a girl or a boy...

Lol that is so true, when I first met Larsa in the game, I thought, "hey isn't that a really short 25-year-old woman?" But then later on it was revealed to be a boy, I was like ,"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH?!?"

Video games now make too many effeminate male characters, even Tekken 6 is gonna have one (Leo), and Tekken was famous for all their manly male fighters -__-

yeh, besides, they make Larsa look like a clown or something!!! lol

i think its way better when the men look and sound like men and the women look and sound like women^^ (and by that i don't mean an army of boob-zillas!!)

hey, i'm stuck on a bit with the 4th boss, that big bird thing...how the hell do ya kill it???!? i know its the wrong forum, but...i'm desperate...hihi

Who do I hate? Hmmm...

For the female category, probably Ashe. I suppose she has some personality, but she still kind of annoys me. For males, I'd have said Vayne (everyone hates him...) because of his voice - I mean, come on, WTF? - and because he's just generally a creepy murderer lying bad guy who we all love to hate. He also, as I read somewhere, has a 'I would molest my brother in a minute!' sticker attached to his forehead.

My views on Larsa are so-so. It took me a while to get used to the voice (they've let me down on the voice acting in FF12...) and his seemingly huuuuge forehead, but he's ok, and he has an endless supply of hi-potions, which comes in useful.

i didn't mind Larsa at first, but now that hes replaced Vossler and the big sword as a party guest, i hate the little girl/boy thing!! he never uses hi-potions on my party, hes too busy thinking he can ACTUALLY fight stuff.

it doesn't suprise that Vayne would molest his brother, in fact i'd be suprised if he wouldn't. i don't really have a woman that i hate, although Drace isn't top of my list at the moment because she likes Larsa so much. i used to dislike Ashe, but if you put it in perspective, she doesn't look so bad^^

i take back what i said about Larsa, hes quite adorable in the "aww, look at that cute little child!" kinda way. i reckon the only character worth hating in the game is Vayne, and perhaps Ghis.

Okay funny story, today some huge Hispanic dude came to my house, and he asked for my dad, so my dad came out. The dude pointed out that several of our roof's shingles were chipped off, and rain could leak in. But when I looked at it, it wasn't even that bad, not even worth mentioning. Then the Hispanic dude's like "I fix roofs I can do it for you." I asked him did the neighborhood inspector send him, he's like "no I was just working on another house in the neighborhood so I saw your shingles were damaged. Do you want me to fix it?" then my dad's like "That's okay," so the dude left.

Then later when I went on the AOL website I saw a warning for watching out for con-artists acting as contractor, and the situation I just described fit exactly in the con's scam plans. I was cracking up when I read that, because it just happened to me. LOL! Good thing me and my dad dodged that bullet XD.

Anyways, I know that this is unrelated to the topic but it was so funny I just had to tell everyone XD. This IS a true story btw.

Mmm... I don't think I really hate anyone. Everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do. From what he says at the ending to Venat, I could see that even the 'cruel' Vayne has belief in his purpose. I think he really meant that speech of his from the beginning, too.

I guess this FF broke a lot of the 'rules'. While there are 'good guys', there isn't really an absolute 'bad guy' character who is evil and malicious. Venat may be the closest since he's pulling all the strings, but even his dialogue is remarkably calm and insightful. That makes me feel even more so that FFXII is more mature and developed in plot than most of the older games.

But I do wonder repeatedly why Vaan and Penelo are in the party...

i think their both hot and both cool^^ i think Penelo and Vaan are in the party cuz thier quite young and it makes it still seem quite childish and light-hearted.

oh, i don't wanna pay for a DS just so i can play it. the DS has way crapper graphics than the PS2 also...oh, it makes me sad...T_T

Yes, it has all the party members, some important characters you meet in Final Fantasy XII, and new characters. But that is preety much all I know and will reveal. Beside, wouldn't want to spoil the ending.

basch isn't a bad guy. granted, he's not my favorite but what's wrong with him? he held on to his honor and dignity while he was locked up, getting abused by his own brother with everyone thinking him a traiter, and still managed to come out and fight to protect the very people who dispise him! how can you say you hate him?

I like all the main charastures... but I like Ashe the least. She acts superior during the game (which in the games case she kind of is because she is hier, but still...)

i don't like Basch at all.i don't know why.he may put the others first and be an honorable man etc but he is so cold.i like emotional characters like Ashe.

I don't really hate any of the characters. But, Ashe is my least fave. At times she just bugs me. .

i know what you mean, about Ashe, i find that sometimes, but i don't dislike her. Basch can seem cold i guess, but i don't think thats the real him. when he opens up---which is rarely---he is so sweet. i do prefer characters that are amusing of that i can empathise/sympathise with.

Yea, when I first saw and heard Larsa I was like "Is the a **" or a princess i disguise? When it turned out to be a guy it was kinda like "oooooooooooooooooooooookay" so (no offence Larsa x Panelo lovers) whenever I come across a Larnelo fanfic it have to chant to my self "It's a guy, he's a guy..." He's a pretty cool guy dispite thr girly apperance. lol

whoa i totally thought larsa was a girl when he first showed up! but i love larsa! he's so cute and innocent! (like puppy dog cute)

i'm sorry, but i'm an ashe hater. yeah, she's all alone and her husband died and all that stuff, but she's so annoying and she wasn't very good on my game...

i also hate vaan a little. but i actually thought vayne was a pretty good bad guy, like pure evil.

It seems that everybody in the beginning believe that larsa is a girl(even me!). I don't like vaan either. And i agree with you. Vayne is the perfect evil guy. But i like ashe. Although in the beginning she acts like a snob noble woman but as the story goes on she shows her true self.

she was only iffy with them after she found that they'd been stealing from the palace, and only really with Vaan.

Vayne is a fab evil villain^^

It doesn't help Larsa that he wears pink boots, is tiny and has quite a girlie face and voice~ aww, he's so adorable!!

Agreed!He's so cute!I liked him with penelo but Revenant Wings showed the opposite. TS i thought they were friends or something (with vaan)or brother sister relationship.Frustrating RW.i heard that there will be a Revenant wings sequel.I hope it will be better

I read that the director enjoyed so much Revenant wings that he considers for a sequel.I read also somewhere that Revenant wings are a side story to Final Fantasy XII and not a "full fledged sequel" to the game even if it does take place a year after ffxii events.I'm so confused. I hope that the pairings will remain neutral so everyone can pick his favorite ones in the following game.

indeed. i'd rather have, for example, Penelo to be shown as friends with both Vaan and Larsa in RW, and have no canon relationship than for her to be given a definate pairing with Vaan. if the pairings are left for fans to decide, then it makes more people happy.
