duo/minako

love wufei/raye pairings to bits and well quatre/(whats jupiters name again?lita?)

Starting with Usagi (Serena/Serenity). Well, being the main character, she of course has been placed with all the pilots numerous times. She's also been placed with Mamoru (Darien/Endymion) as a side couple. Personally, I like Usagi-centered fics with any of the pilots as long as there is no character bashing of any of the correct partners (specifically Mamoru or Relena or Hilde). I think that she's best with, in fun fics Quatre or Duo, in dark/angsty fics Heero and maybe Trowa. While I can enjoy Usa/Wufei fics, I don't seek them out.

Ami is such a shy girl when it comes to things of this nature that she couldn't be with Duo in my opinion. He's too open and humorous for her, along with being too dark in reality for someone like Ami. Personally, I like her the best with Quatre, although I have seen some well done Ami/Trowa fics in the past, but they are few and far between.

Rei is very innocent, and her temper can blow if you push the wrong buttons. Personally, I like Rei/Wufei fics because Rei would be able to stop is 'weak woman' ideas in a flash. Of all the things that Rei is, weak is not one of them.

Makoto (Lita) is physically strong, emotionally, however, she is a bit insecure at times. Especially in things that concern men, Makoto is unsure of herself because she has been known as such a tomboy her entire life. I like to see her with Trowa specifically because, well, they just look good together. Makoto is so warm, and Trowa, well, nanami (no-name as he was called before he became Trowa Barton) describes him best. They have both lost their families and have, at times, had to make it on their own with no one around who loves them, that's why I like that pairing. I also like Makoto/Heero pairings for the same reason.

Minako should definitely be with Duo. They are both so playful and fun-loving, but have lost many things and given up many things due to duty and honor (this is the manga Minako especially because even in the Silver millenium, she had to give everything up to guard and protect Serenity-hime). Being the leader of the senshi is a tough job, and she has given up so much for this. Duo lost everything back when the church was attacked. Although, I will say that Minako/Quatre pairings are cute too.

The outer senshi is a little easier. Michiru (Michelle) and Haruka (Amara) I can't see with anyone but each other. Michiru and Haruka have been together through so much, I can't really see either of them abandoning that for anyone, not even the pilots. Hotaru, who was a child through the entire series, never reaching above the age of thirteen, I can't really see paired up with the pilots. I have seen her with Duo once or twice where it was well done, but not very often. Setsuna (Trista) whose duty it is to guard the gates of time, I can't really see with anyone, much less the pilots. But if she were to be paired up with one of them, Trowa would be the one that I think works the best. The senshi of a void with the one whose life is most like the void.
