Here’s a little heads-up on how things work around here:

I’m the creator of this forum, and therefore have the right to delete or edit posts and delete, lock, or create threads as I see fit. I owe no one an explanation for my actions, though I almost always give one. You all are guests in my forum, and are therefore expected to abide by its rules. We are all guests of this website and are expected to abide by its rules.

This is by no means a democratic forum: I created it solely to amuse myself. I’m an anal-retentive, controlling, egotistical asshole with a penchant for flaming shitastic fics. If you’re looking for fairness, democracy, or on the flip side, some place that lets anything go—including spamming, nonsense, threats, etc.—you have come to the wrong place, and you’d best turn around and find a better playground. As it is, this one is mine, and if you come here, you’d better learn the rules else you’ll find yourself out on your ass.

So some tips, kiddos, because this place can be intimidating:

♦ The “I Hate You, Flame Rising” thread is a pool of sharks. It’s purpose is for people that I’ve flamed to voice their opinion of me since I do not read their PMs or review-replies. Before you jump in with your own opinions on any fresh meat in there, I suggest you sit out a few rounds and see how things work.

⇒If forum members call troll—meaning the person is not there validly to complain about my flame, s/he is there to spam, generally be a nuisance, to try and whore for reviews or attention, or to try and be offensive—that means everyone needs to stop responding. Starve the trolls, and they go away.

⇒The thread is not there for general comments, hence—no spam, no chat, and no off-topic posts. They will be deleted.

⇒I also discourage people from clicking on that person’s profile and flaming the shit out of their stories simply because they posted on my forum how much they hate me. That's not what I or this forum is about.

♦The “Troll Warning” thread is not a place to comment about trolls. It’s there for me and other forum members to bump as a warning to others that a troll is in the forum and to ignore it.

♦Please feel free to add your contributions to any of the “WoW” or “Worst of the Worst” threads; however, I ask that no links be provided in your posts. We have had major problems of people in the past going to every story linked and ridiculously flaming the shit out of it. The purpose of the WoW threads is not to get people to flame those stories. It’s to showcase the worst shit out there so we can laugh at it.

♦ Any overt references to violence or anything that is deemed offensive by me will be edited or deleted. That's just the way it is around here.

If you have any questions on how things work around here, there is an "Ask Flame Rising" thread.

Please respect the other forum members, my rules, and me, and enjoy your stay. There are many good, intelligent, and helpful people of all ages who post here, and make this forum a fun, fantastic place.
