As a Fireplacian, I'm probably one of the saner ones. I will, occasionally, throw in certain dirty jokes or tease people. But I'm rarely serious about it. I'm not as big a deal as Josie but I still have my moments of hilarity. I also spork in the WoW: Sex Scenes thread.

But I was a flamer before I became a Fireplacian so I can be a bitch. When this happens, usually Cass or Mel will talk me down before I can explode, because my temper can be nasty. But luckily, I rarely lose it, so unless you're trying to piss me off, it should all be good.

I'm a generally friendly person, and seem to be one of the only regulars who doesn't have insane crushes and/or is insanely crushed on and/or in a relationship with another Fireplacian. F/R, you should start a dating service. You might make thousands. ;)

I'm a huge joker. So don't take things too seriously when it comes to me. I say a lot of vulgar things, am usually in the middle of "sex-talk" and just about annoy every guy (except Flame Rising) with my horny self. ;) So if you're a guy, then watch out. You just may become my next victim. ;)

However, that shouldn't discourage you from having an intelligent conversation with me. Contrary to Fireplacian popular belief, I can have a clean conversation and be quite a source of intelligent stuff. So if you're wondering where to jump in in the conversation while I'm flirting with the male populace here, don't worry about it. Just dive headfirst and say anything you want to say. Initially, I might make a comment (possibly laden with some innuendo or another) but on the whole, I will carry a clean conversation.

Which brings me to another point. I'm aggressive. I tend to get very excited when there's a stimulating discussion/debate and it will seem like I'm attacking you. Well, I'm not. I'm just pointing out your flaws (in a sort of superior egotistical tone) and firing arguments like they're bullets. So grab a shield and try to prove me wrong in whatever discussion we are in. I love it when you go against me and it makes it all the more fun when you say that I'm wrong.

Okay, since I'm bored and no one's here, I think I'll talk about my geneology. I have crazy relationships with people here and some of them are completely bizarre and may not even make sense.

Anyways, let me start off with all my twins. There's San, who is my soul-twin and oddly at the same time, my grandmother as well. She is married to my other grandmother, Crimsy who has a sister, Faith, which makes her my great-aunt. Now, there's been something weird going on in the family because San's anulled her marriage with Crimsy and married Faith instead so the geneology's been shifted a little. Nevertheless, we still make it seem that Crimsy and San are still wife and wife for life. ;D

Then there's my other twin, MJ-Skywalker (whom I affectionately call "mah-twin"), who is not involved in any crazy nonsense so I guess she's the only safe one to go to when in need of help/advice. :D

Another twin that belongs to me is Pirate who is mah mah secret twinzee. He shares my sexy hair whereas MJ shares my sexy looks and San my sexy brains/thoughts.

Another relative of mine (before I forget) is Celeb, who is San's twin-in-law. I don't know how that works or how she is related to me in terms of titles but she's family nonetheless. She's also another sane one.

I'm not entirely too sure who my parents are. Rumor is that they're Blur and Casa since San's been screwing around with Blur's mom. Their family branch extends even further with Casa being the twin of Sao and the daughter of Pie. That part of the family is oddly sane as well (with maybe the exception of Sao ;)

So yeah, those are my relatives. And last but not least is my darling husband, Apo. ;D A true sweetheart, he is the voice of reason and stability in our rocky relationship at times. Without him, I'd probably have screwed the entire male populace here. xDDD

Hey all, I'm La Mort du Cygne. I answer to Blackie, Black, BD (those coming from my old pen name), Mort, Cygne, the Rabid American Ballerina (Reserved by Dimi), and Vivienne, which is my name (it can be shortened to many other things, though).

I've been around since September, and I've been a FanFiction member for a year and a half at the time of this post; I write for Eragon, Winx Club, Twilight, and ballet.

I'm a dancer and gymnast, and an occasional perfectionist. I'm artistically challenged, and I usually don't flame, unless your story is utter shit, or you're a troll and I'm bored.

I mostly lurk on the Fireplace, and when I do post, I like to keep it short. If you're reading this and you're new here, I welcome you.

I write mainly X-Men: The Movie fics, though I've been an X-Men fan for more than 20 years. Besides that fandom, I also read Firefly/Serenity, Buffy/Angel and the occasional Harry Potter. I'm 39 years old, have most of an English degree, put on hold due to a sudden case motherhood. But she goes off to college herself in the fall, so I'll be going back myself once I work it out with my boss. I'm mostly very easy to get along with, but I don't suffer fools, flamaters or trolls gladly.

Now, MSA is too lazy to do this himself, so I'll do it for him...;)

MSA is Mary Sue's Assassin, which should give you all an idea of his biggest pet peeve with fanfic. He's my fiance' and a very funny man. But he's also a rampaging asshole when he sees crap!fic and has no problem telling someone, in great detail, just how much they suck. If F/R didn't already know who his twin brother was (on account of them coming out of the same womb and all), I would swear MSA was F/R's long-lost, equally evil twin...;) He's a Transformers FANATIC and would like to remind everyone that ROBOTS DON'T FUCK.

My main fandom is the scourge of the Cartoons section (Teen Titans) and apparently I'm slightly famous there among the Rob/Star girls and guys. Who knew? But anyway, occasionally I wander into the Fruits Basket, Tamora Pierce, Twilight, Maximum Ride, and even more rarely Harry Potter. I suck at updating lately because I just started the senior years of high school.

Here, I can usually be caught fighting with Mexicano27, as you could probably tell from his post. I tend to be around when all the lurkers come out to chat. I tend to call piewacket Piemom, and Casa my twin. If you stay long enough you might even catch on as to why. ;)

I'm a homeschooled girl who likes fanfics, piano, anime, singing, sleeping, anything to do with foreign languages, Disney and occasionally drawing (mostly comics). I also like mythical stuff and get attracted to dragons, fairies, mermaids, and mahou shoujo anime like Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Futari wa Pretty Cure, and Princess Tutu, along with other anime like Azumanga Daioh and Fruits Basket, non-anime like W.i.t.c.h and Winx Club (which could be accounted as being mahou shoujo) and a long time ago I was a Pokémon fanatic. I have also watched a little bit of Avatar in its first season. I have never ever read nor watched Harry Potter, Naruto, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings, meaning I never venture into said fandoms. Weird, eh? (I love Potter Puppet Pals, though.)

I'm also a game freak who loves Final Fantasy X, both PS2 Kingdom Hearts games (my main fandom, by the way), God of War, Soul Calibur II and III, Katamari Damacy, along with others. I used to own a copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and loved it dearly, until someone stole it from me. Now I can't get it back because it costs over a hundred dollars on eBay. :(

Personality wise, I'm weird and often sarcastic. Let's keep it at that.

I'm called Lin majority of the time. I've been here at the Fireplace for nearly a year, going through many different pennames and different avatars (so beware my changes, hopefully this post will be able to identify me easier). I'm more of a fluff writer, though not good with many romance scenes. Short, simple, and sweet are perfect styles for me, the triple S's in my opinion.

My fandoms are mostly anime with a few video games thrown in there. You can see me hanging around the Prince of Tennis section quite a bit now as I've recently got major obsessed with it. Alas, I'm mostly an OC writer, but I prefer doing one-shots compared to long stories because I've never made it past the 5th chapter for any of them. I do have stories where it's only canon characters, but I'm a complete n00b to that kind of stories, so it's still amateurish.

I’m rather good to talk to if I do say so myself, but I have a bad habit of disappearing and then reappearing for long periods of time. I get distracted easily.

I mostly give harsh criticism or constructive criticism, but I’ve been quiet in that area for a while. Focusing more on stories I like and giving them reviews. I’m rather picky with my stories, but I’ll only give harsh criticism if I see the fandom being butchered or Sues.

Otherwise, I’m just a teenage girl who likes to read/write fanfiction and listen to music all day or watch anime or read manga, either or. Imagination is a sure way to go.

I pride myself on being a fangirl with a brain; I am a slash/yaoi writer and reader. My fandoms are very varied (hyuk hyuk), though many of them are anime/manga. I am most well known as a Harry Potter author, but I write the most in the Saiyuki fandom. I jump around to anything I know and my pairings are... ehh... often rather non-traditional. I enjoy romances and the showing of a believable relationship more than anything.

Ummmmm. I'm mostly a Pirates of the Caribbean writer, but I'll drabble some Potter stuff if I'm in the mood. I usually only read things that can make me laugh, but if it's got a good plot then that's pretty awesome, too. And if it's got smut with hot fictional characters, then that just makes me giggle all the more.

I'm a pretty happy person [or at least I try and tell myself that], but I can be pretty pessimistic if I feel like it. I can also get fairly emotional and dramatic. I reccomend just putting up with it. It's just a phase. Promise.

Twenty-four as of typing this, I've been fighting through Hell and hot water to get myself into university for the past few months, and have only recently been making progress. Considering how desperate post-secondary schools are for students here in Atlantic Canada, you wouldn't think I'd have to push so damn hard. Regardless, the whole situation is getting to me, which of course piles on top of other bothersome crap I've got going on.

But enough about things that suck; there is a metric ton of threads about that here.

I've an impressive collection of d20 books I purchased, back in the day, when I actually had some money. I have an equally impressive stack of computer parts sitting in my closet in some semblance of order. I love video games, especially Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Soul Caliber, and Zelda..none of which I write for. I watch a lot of t.v. and anime, so if it is, or was, on Nickalodian, Cartoon Network, PBS, or even Disney Channel, I've probably seen it at least once. I'm also a Star Wars fan, nuff said about that.

As for what I do on this site, I've been on this forum since the second OC challenge, and on this site for years. I will flame, but I specialize in con-crit for anyone that actually wants to improve. If you're willing to work at your problems, I'll read, review, chat, beta, whatever you need if you ask me kindly Oh, and I have time; real life still takes precedent after all.

As for my don't s, I don't do yaoi/yuri or incest fan-fics. They're icky. I also don't write very much, or very often. I'm a lazy easy-going procrastinator, but I will do challenges, so see me in those threads. That's all for now, may be I'll update this someday.

I'm nineteen years old, twenty in less than a month's time, and I'm from Singapore. I love reading, writing both fanfiction and original fiction, though I haven't done any original fiction for a long time, and blogging. There seems to be something wrong with my blog address on this site, so I'll be changing it soon. I also love music, mainly classical, though for some reason, my favourite band is still Linkin Park.

The fandoms I frequent the most are Fruits Basket (my main), Vampire Knight, and Eragon (I hate the series and the author, but that still does not prevent me from getting creative juices from the fandom). I have also been known to venture into the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, though I don't write for them. I sometimes review for those fandoms though.

I'm known as Mini around here. These days, I lurk around in the Dragon Ball Z fandom, reading both good and bad stories. There's just a small difference whenever I go on my regular badfic-hunting rounds: I spork any badfics that I come across.

Most of the time, I'm a nice 19-year-old. I do shower lots of praise on well-written fics if I'm familiar with the fandom. My concrit is gentle most of the time, but when the story is really bad, I take out my spork. I don't flame those stories.

I share quite a few interests with Celeb here; I'm a Linkin Park fan too.

I've been registered here for a little while, but I've only started posting a day or so ago. For me, fanfiction has always been something fun and relaxing to do when I'm not in the right headspace for my own creative projects. Also a source of epic lulz if it's bad enough. I've already seen enough terrible fics here to give a Surgeon General heart palpitations. I think I'm going to like this site. (There were good ones too. I did see them.)

All I've got uploaded so far is one chapter of the large Disgaea fic I'm working on. I'm moderately chuffed with it. If anyone feels like dropping me a spot of concrit, or just reading it and letting me know you read it, that would be lovely. Conversely, if anyone has pieces they want me to read/review, just say! I read very, very fast, so it never feels like a big investment of time.

Nothing really interesting about me. I'm a dancer, gymnast and all around scatterbrain :P

I find everything funny and I'm really immature. I'm that girl who always says things that don't make sense then I'm like 'oh shit' straight after :D People think I'm a flirt because I have a habit of twirling my hair and biting my lip lol

I do get along with almost everyone that I meet and I don't get offended easily, probably because it usually just goes straight over my head ;D

I'm 19 years old and going through to be a nurse, although I've got a slight stepping stone in my way at the moment. I've recently started 12 hour shift work again, so who knows how often I'll be on.:)

I've been reading 'secretly' in the fireplace for a while and thought it was time to introduce myself.

I'm 23 years old, live in Cologne, Germany (there are foreigners living here, but I am German), and study English, Spanish and business. Fandoms I read are One Tree Hill, X-Men (Movie), Star Wars, Twilight, and of course Eragon, which is the fandom I write for, too (yes, horrible book, but great to work with, I think). I'm an ardent slash lover, but also don't mind passionate het stories (Wolvie/Rogue or Bella/Edward anyone?). And that's where all the trouble begins: Most of the M-rated fics are crap. Crappier than crap, actually. I can just see a 13-year-old typing away, not knowing anything about the things she writes. Those fics hurt. And that's how I found this place. I love language, and I love fiction, and both gets raped too often!

Personally I am not able to flame, because all I would do afterwards is imagine said 13-year-old, crying her eyes out. Okay, so her story made me cry beforehand, but still, I'm far too nice for this world.

Anyways, now that I've introduced myself, I might actually start participating.

Well, it is inevitable that I'd eventually start participating on the forums. This site is one of my safety valves at work when the deadlines become too crushing.

I've several online personalities. I either run by the nick of Saffron, Saffie or OnyxDrake. Others know me as Nefretkheperi Xepera or Neffie. Eventually I'll be known by my real name but I'd like to avoid that until my first novel is published.

I'm a writer of dark fantasy/horror. By day I work as a sub-editor for a newspaper. I am a published travel writer. By night I cross swords with imaginary enemies in the Cape Town of my imagination as my protagonists wrestle with demons, have mystical experiences and discover strange and wonderful things... All while trying to stay alive. I'm a white South African who lives in the Mother City. We do not ride to work on elephants and my house is not a mud hut, thank you very much. Although lions do not prowl where I live, we do suffer the attention of some troublesome baboons from time to time (really).

I am big into Egypt and edit the quarterly newsletter of an Egyptian society. My interests also include writing, travelling, reading, nature, magic and gardening. Genres I enjoy reading and writing include fantasy, sci-fi and horror. I have this thing for dragons...

I also have the unfortunate enjoyment of writing and reading fanfiction when not busy with my "real" writing.

I completed my first novel at the start of this year, have an agent and am busy with the edits. Several others are in the pipeline. Why I "waste" my precious time on fanfiction I've been asked a dozen times. My answer is that I enjoy it. It provides a wonderful sounding board for some of my ideas that sometimes then return to my real work, when I see what my faithful readers like/dislike.

So far I've published two Anne McCaffrey fanfics and am busy writing one for J O'Barr's "The Crow".

I deliver concrit and run a writers' guild in real life, so I'll say what's on my mind and, unless your writing is absolutely heinous, won't be unduly nasty.
