Paige has great power but the storylines are constantly the same. They revolve around her finding her place in the world and in the Charmed Ones. I get it the first season but she just kept on whining about not knowing herself. Can't she show more confidence in herself?

I love Paige and I think she was a breath of fresh air to the show! I do agree that she was very underwritten but I resent the comment that Rose McGowan stopped making an effort with her, infact, I think that Paige's characteristics shone through some incredibly dull s6/7 story lines and that only proves talent on behalf of the actress!

What bugged me was that some writer woke up one day near the end of season 8 and went "oops! we forgot to give Paige a future, spent too much time on Piper and Leo and Pheobe's quest for love and children and forgot that there is a 3rd sister! Quick, wack in a boyfriend and a wedding then cram 3 kids on last minute - noone will notice that we never gave him any flesh to his very delightful bones!"

Paige had some of the most amazing qualities as a character and a whole load of mystery to her that never got properly explored just churned over due to neglectful writing but the essence of her character was brilliant and she's always a spring board for my fics! :D x

Thank you for protesting about Rose McGowan's efforts. I really like Rose McGowan and think she is super cool and interesting and you have a huge point about the writing of her character. They really dropped the ball when it came to Paige in the later seasons. She is an amazing character and the neglect she had to endure in the series was what inspired me to write my first fanfic :)

You're definately right, she is very underwritten and what happened to her in the last season moved waay to fast, especially after Brody in s7, which was a storyline I loove. In series 4 Paige is written brilliantly because she spends the whole series being slightly outcasted by her sisters, not helped by Cole's evil plans. It works, because that's human nature. They're bound to feel angry towards her.

Agree with everyone here about Paige being underwritten. After re-watching the series, I just pulled my hair at all the lost potential for family drama involving her character.

As for Rose McGowan, I enjoyed her as Paige, but based on her past performances, I think she would've given a memorable performance if she had played the pre-accident Paige—the cruel and mean girl she used to before the accident that killed her foster parents. Would've been interesting to see her start from there and evolve into the Paige we all know.
