Just yesterday, some user named (removed) wrote an offensive review after wrongfully criticizing my largest fan fiction ever, The Adventures of Amy and Tiff. After sending him rightful warnings to him, he PM'd me with more offensive stuff, and to make matters worse, he wrote this 'story' that is actually an attack against the user (me):

The title is claimed to be (removed), which is actually about an offending review that included swearing. Although claimed to be an honest review, it did contain the words "**ing blows", which is offensive and therefore violates the community guidelines.

Some of the words included in this "story" are:

"I was just being honest and now jonghyunchung has to be a ** and threaten to report me and ban my reviews for his current story."

The user was actually writing something not appropriate and I did the right thing by trying to report him in order to make sure he stops writing bad reviews.

"So will Onin follow through with Fonzie's evil plan to beat up jonghyunchung?"

This phrase is actually a symbol to offend another user who didn't do anything wrong.

I am innocent, but this person needs to be taught a lesson. I've tried contacting the administrators, but they're just too busy. I even PM'd the fans who support my fanfic to stop this user. Can anyone help me?

We do not name and shame here: this is the wrong forum for this. Please edit your post to confirm with the forum rules (or a mod will edit, and likely close the topic).

Talking in general terms about you problem is all right, but not giving links and name. You can't do much more than you have, which is to report offenses. Best thing now, is simply to ignore. If you are in the right, then that will be clear for anyone looking at the reviews or the stories. If you have not acted well, then that will be clear no matter how much you protest your innocence.

I agree with the user above me. Even though this user wrongfully insulted you, don't stoop to his/her level. Block the user, and ignore him if he keeps on contacting him. Don't read the story about you, Youre only gonna hurt yourself. He's/she's just a bully looking for attention. Hope this helps.

Hm did the original offensive review get deleted? Because the only review I can find posted on your story by the user you mentioned is this:

Are you f—ing kidding me?! You're ripping off the quiz episode and adding Sonic characters into the mix! Man you're such a tool!

I tried removing that review, but nothing is happening. In addition, I got yet another bad PM after successfully having an administrator remove his inappropriate story:

"You got my story deleted. I'll find you and I will kill you"

If it were me, I would either block him or report him. Possibly both.

Now (removed) wrote to me a totally unacceptable PM: "Seriously. I did nothing wrong to you you **ing **. When I find you, I'm gonna skin you alive, rip your heart out, break all your bones, suffocate you, burn you, and destroy you. I mean it." The first thing he wrote in this PM is also a lie. He actually DID something unacceptable in the first place. Can't ANYONE deal with this user? I can't do it alone.

I think you should get a screencap of his PM, block him, ask the admins to remove his review (while notifying them of the PM you got from this user), and then ignore him. Blocking him and ignoring him to me seems like the best choose unless he does continue to harass you. If he does, then I can't help but feel it's because you are 'feeding him' I guess? I am probably wrong since I don't know the exact situation, but yeah...my two cents.

Please only refer to the flamer as "The Reviewer". Giving out names of those that you have a problem with is not permitted on this forum.

Enable "Moderate-Review Feature'' to avoid such reviews being posted immediately on your stories. Hand-pick your reviews, and discard the useless ones.

The message you got indicates that the other user has blocked you, which also means they cannot PM you unless they unblock you. Do you not have a copy of the harassing PMs in your email alerts?

Do note you cannot delete signed reviews once they've been posted.

To block go to your control panel - Accounts - Block Users, enter the username or userid of the reviewer.

Also note that blocking a user will not remove an existing signed review by that person. It will just prevent them from being able to leave future signed reviews.

It certainly is. If I was setting it up, I'd have it so that you couldn't PM someone you'd blocked without removing the block.

I've edited out identifying information. General threads about how to deal with issues are fine, but no naming and shaming please.

Can you block a user who has already blocked you? Very flawed system if you can't.

I finally blocked the user, but now he's going too far by writing multiple anonymous reviews that I continuously have to keep removing because he is still claiming to say the opposite of what he's really doing. In addition, he's making up names of guests, like Kyle, Bruce, Harold, Rob, Masyn, Arianna, Steve, Chad, Fred, Arthur, Chet, Benny, Vic, Jimmy, Arnold, and Tom, in order to write these threatening reviews:

1. "Actually it is the truth and your just too much of a little ** to accept it."

2. "This author's a loser. This story proves that he is."

3. "This ** watches too many unpopular kid shows. Also sideshow27 told me about that ** move you did to him yesterday. I really wanted to see what TheFonz and Onin were gonna do on their trip to kick your **!"

4. "But we can't see it cause this kid's a **ing crybaby!"

5. "jonghyunchung is not cool, he has no friends, no occupation, no life, he will die at the age twenty eight cause I guarantee somebody will kill him."

6. "This is sideshow27's girlfriend. He told me he had a special story to share to me but because of you l, you stupid prick, I probably won't be able to read it. Also, sideshow27 and I have sex almost every night while you lay on your bed and jerk off to Kirby, you sick **!"

7. "Maybe if people keep sending him honest emails, jonghyunchung will see how much of a stupid tool he is!"

8. "Sideshow27 would've done the same thing. He took a bullet by admitting his honesty. That's a brave man. Unlike jonghyunchung, the **ing crybaby!"

9. "Oh my god! This story is **ing stupid! Like you!"

Then he illegally added me to his Favorite Authors list. The reason why he's doing this is because he wants to write more bad reviews every time I submit new chapters. I removed all the reviews, and I fear that more will come. This user just HAS to be banned, therefore I need help from everyone to report this user, that way he'll be more guaranteed to be banned for good. Please?

If you want him banned, then removing the reviews is the wrong way to go about it. Those are your evidence. Having many people reporting when there is little evidence to show, will not help.

If you receive more abusive reviews, don't delete them, at least not until you have taken a screen-cap of them, and contact the adm. Present your evidence to them, either by links or screen-caps or both.

And stop naming or trying to make us part of your war. We have not special powers here, you need to contact the site.

It is not "illegal" to add someone to your favourite authors list.

Ignore the anonymous reviews. Delete them if you want to, leave them standing to show what a twit he is if you don't. Report the signed ones. Don't respond in any way.

I have come to my decision. I will remove all of my stories from FanFiction.net and I will not use the site anymore. All 67 episodes of The Adventures of Amy and Tiff: The Series, however, will be moved to deviantART starting on September 21, 2012. That is my final decision. Case closed.
