I drew mine as well. My fursona is a mixture of big cats, and as her name is Atarah, I figured it would be appropriate to use her as my avatar.

Did you know: Kovu 01's avatar was designed by Sarafina, TLKFAA's top artist. The funny thing is, no one can decide if it depicts Nala or Sarafina, since they look exactly alike. I believe it's Saffy, since that is the artist's fursona. She'd tell us if it were Nala.

I think that's the British spelling for pheonix, if not then it's my own :) The way we pronounce it PHE-- we say the 'e' first anyhow. Makes more sense.

"Phoenix" is of Greek origin, as is the name Phoebe, and thus both are spelled with an "oe," but the o is silent. "Eo" is an Old English element that comes from "eoh," the element for "horse." That's why Tolkien included names such as Theoden, Eomer, and Eowyn in his novels. "Eo" is intended to have an accent over the e, but tell that to my keyboard.

Anywho, the point is that "oe (EE)" is Greek, while "eo (AY-oh)" is Old English.

Um how do I explain her... alright here goes. She is an elf and lives in a beautiful forest called Lorien with her husband Celeborn and has one child a daughter named Celebrian who is married to a elf called Elrond. Galadriel has three grandchildren named Elladan ,Elrohir and and Arwen. Arwen gets married to a man called Aragorn who is one of the main characters and becomes king of two countries called Gondor and Arnor.This summary isn't much and i'm not an expert on her but I hope this was useful.

Remember how Gimli said there was a witch in the forest who made all mortals fall in love with her the instant they looked at her, and then he ended up being the one who fell in love? That was Galadriel. She gave him three strands of her hair. That was in FotR. Galadriel communicates with Elrond using telepathy. She was played by Kate Blanchet, and she was the only blond elf who wasn't a bottle blond.

The mirror was a couple scenes after Gandalf died. Galadriel called Frodo and had him look into a basin of water that acted like a magic mirror. Frodo saw the destruction of the Shire. After that he offered the Ring to Galadriel, and she almost took it. But at the last moment she showed him--and herself--what it would do to her.

Okay, three questions, what is FotR, what is telepathy and what is a bottle blond?Well, thanks for telling me, I didn't remeber that part until you mentioned it.

Not a big fan of lions, but I'm pretty sure those ears are wrong, don't lions have like circles instead of triangles? And the black smudges on the face look weird too. Other than that it's pretty okay.

FOTR stands for (the) Fellowship of the Ring which is the first Lord of the rings movie.Telepathy is communicating mind to mind and I have no idea what a bottle blond is.

A bottle blond is someone who dyes their hair blond. Legolas, for example. Orlando Bloom has naturally dark brown hair.

And my avatar is only part lion. She's predominately cougar (the black markings on the muzzle) and lynx (the ears). She also has stripes on her face and tail from the tiger influence. She's my fursona ("furry persona"). For a detailed explanation of what a fursona is, see fanart.lionking.org. My gallery is fanart.lionking.org/Artists/Atarah_Derek. Copy and paste into your browser. TLKFAA is the largest collection of TLK fan art on the web. It is an excellent resurce as well. It is home to thousands of artists and writers who love TLK. There is even an artist who has a comprehensive flash on the lesser known lion characters who appear in books and comics based on TLK (minus Tama and Malka). The artist currently goes by the user name Tima.

TLKFAA has been used as a source of pictures for avatars on FFN. But I strongly recommend that if you wish to use an artist's work for anything that you contact him or her first. These artists spend hours on their art, and they find it upsetting if their work is "stolen." There are a few of us here on FFN as well (myself and Mahewa are the only ones I can name). We can thus be contacted via PM. But some artists on TLKFAA have e-mail addresses visible on their profile, and many of them also have a Deviant Art account (I do not, so I don't know the rules for contacting them).

The G36C is a German assault rifle made by Heckler & Koch. The G36 is the gun main frame, the C variant stands for Compact b/c the G36 is roughly 9 inches longer than the G36C making it worse for close quarters combat. Its an ok gun in my opinion but I'm still a Barrett guy, I'll take a Barrett M468 any day.
