When you guys are writing a post for a forum on FFN do you get a red dashed line under words that are supposedly spelt wrong? Then a dictionary comes up. I think it's funny that this web site doesn't even recognize it's trademark abbreviated letters as not being a mistake ^_^

LOL!! Yeah, actually on some occasions I do get those. I find it to be odd, but yet at the same time, helpfull, let's me know what mistake I made in spelling(lol).:) But, from the MSN messaging, you already know when I misspelled a word Joanne, b/c you practically correct me everytime we chat(lol).:)

Heh, thanks(lol).:) Yes, I guess I do. And the reason why I made this topic was b/c new user's were coming to my forum and creating individual topics and asking how to put up a story. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I just felt like making this 'Question,' topic so that they could ask their questions here in this topic.:)

My only question for FanFiction as a whole would be:

" why is there no 'original peice' subforum under misc? "

because i think it would be really interesting to see stories written by some of the authors of FF if they used their own Characters, not ones already made from a T.V. show, or a manga, or an Anime, book or movie.

You need to read them from your email. You know, from the email adress you need to write everytime you log in. That way, you can read your PM's and other alerts.

Sorry, but you can't. But you don't have to delete your account. If you really want to leave without leaving traces, just change your penname, erase your profile and delete your stories and alerts and favorites. Of course your forum posts will still remain...

Of course, you could also could break the rules and get banned, but I don't recommend it.

I have kind of a silly question. What do I do if I am trying to write a story but the book that I am writing about isn't one of the available categories?

I want to write a fan fiction about The Song of Ice & Fire series by George R.R. Martin. Is that not allowed or something? Could I add it to the list somehow?

Captara, make sure the Alerts are on (you can check them by logging in). If they are, it's just a site glitch and it will stop soon.

Elentari, you could try emailing them (click on Extras and choose 'Support') and suggest the category. I remember that it has actually worked occasionally.

I have a question!!!! Why won't my account name show up when I search for it? I go to the search engine and type in "SnakeyLobve", set it to authors, and it doesn't show. My question is does anyone owns The Lion King Collection CD? I had on tape a long time ago and I recently recieved in on CD and some of the songs are brilliant (mainly the one that aren't from the films).

Well, even if it doesn't show up on Search, you can easily get to anyone's profile.

Just type www. fanfiction .net/ ~insertauthorsnamehere (just remove the spaces). For example, www.fanfiction.net/~snakeylobve

I go there (quite rarely, though), and I'm not mean. And most of them are nice. Don't worry about it. Of course, there are mean people but that goes for many other places too.

I think at least two people got their accounts hacked there. I remember that somebody hacked Joanne's account a looong time ago. And I think some others were hacked too. But I wouldn't worry about the spam. Like Kovu said, the spam messages can just be deleted and the spammer can be blocked. Account hacking is more serious, though...

Long passwords helps. I have a VERY long password that I even forget sometimes, but it helps(lol).

Um, I'm not sure, you'll have to ask someone else that, sorry.

Anyway, Kaiser is "Archangel Nazarene." From what I see, he is very well known by many users here. To keep it short, let's just say that he's a bad-** flamer(LOL)! Pardon the language, but that pretty much explains who he is. For more info. about him, you'll have to ask someone else, though I can say that he's really not annoying anymore(to me at least).
