I run a small forum on this sight called 'Character Cache'.

It's a forum where people can put their original characters on display. Characters can also be offered up for adoption or critique (at least thats the idea...hasn't happened yet...), and I also offer fic challenges and plotbunny adoptions. It's new and small and has very little traffic, but I feel that it's a good concept. It just needs a bit more attention from the rest of the world...

Chaos has a forum that helps with character development, and is a networking place for those who want to borrow other peoples' characters for use in their stories. Well, she advertised her forum here, so I advertised mine! Hopefully, we'll be able to work together on a few things...

My friend made it, it's an RPG for Orginization XIII, but she changed it to Organization Infinity. Based off of Kingdom Hearts II.

She wanted me to recruit members. Cuz there are only three.

She want's thee rules to be followed srtictly.

I've got sort of a movement going on, but it's lacking in members extremely. Under my forums, if you're interested, click on the "Help Dismantle the Ultimate Mediocrity Machine!"

What I want to do is dedicate a story, within the rules of the TOS, based off of the alphabet of things not to do. Only, it'll be in story format. So, for every bad element a story has, I'll fashion a scenario about why that element is bad.

Edit: how about a writing tips and tricks thread there? It might be useful if you get whiny authors coming in...

For June, we're going to mess with our favorite characters by Taking Something Away.

Is your character physically attractive? Take the beauty away. Insanely talented in some way (painting, music, sports, whatever)? Take the talent away. Is s/he superpowered (mutant, wizard, whatever)? Take the powers away.

I think you get the point now. :) Explore the character's reactions and feelings in regards to losing whatever it was that made them special. And yep, do it in a thousand words or less.

Rules:

-Any fandom, any genre, any rating.

-OC's permitted, but only if used as a further means of showing a reaction to the loss.

-The OC can NOT be the character that loses something.

-You may use a canon means of stripping the character of their "special" thing (such as the cure from X-Men 3), but you may also write it as though the character never had that special something in the first place.

-And, as always, one thousand words or less. ;)
