For those who have recently visited the Shit Nobody Cares About AKA How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Have Fun thread, also known as the Meme thread, then you know about our recent conversation about the disturbing children that have somehow been spawned thanks to these memes. We've discussed making an RP thread for it, so I made one.

(Latest major rule update: 2/6/2012.)

1: You have to have at least one "Mistake" made from a meme in the Meme thread before you can join in (and please post in the meme thread first before you mention your "Mistake(s)" to avoid confusion). That's the only real requirement for someone to join in on this. Yes, the child's parents must be from one of the two "What if X got Y pregnant" questions. (If that weren't the case...we'd have one hell of a difficult time choosing which parents to use.) You can also "adopt" an unused meme-child shoud the creator of said "Mistake" allow it. (I'll make an "Adoption Center" at the bottom of this post to let anyone know who can be adopted.)

By the way, I don't think anyone would do this, but just in case...No Meme-children of real-life people (Adolf Hitler, Freddie Mercury, Lord Laurence Olivier, The Hairless Wookie, a self-insert, your mom, etc.) and/or saying that they have supposed relations to real-life people (no, Heir, Piper is not related to Sir Elton John; end of story), please.

2: If one of your main characters dies (not almost dies or mostly dies; fully deceased, pushing-up-daisies, bereft-of-life, joined-the-choir-invisible dead), you can't go and pull off some unexplained, illogical bullshit revival. If you can come up with a logical way to revive someone without having it come off as an ass-pull, fine, but otherwise, no.

3: No taking direct control of someone else's character, no matter how small of a part. Some slight indication of interaction (pushing, shaking hands, fighting, etc.) with one is fine since it's somewhat-required (well, duh), but no "Character Z did this-and-that even though they're not my character and their roleplayer didn't say that" stuff. If it's not your character, then you don't get to control what they do. I figured that was a given, but apparently some people have forgotten that.

4: NO POWERGAMING/GOD-MODING. This is highly discouraged and it makes us very angry. :P

5: We don't do Ret-Cons ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Retcon ). Mild changes, perhaps, but no out-right canon-warpage (I said it; it's a word now). You say it in-character, it's considered canon unless it's also somehow stated in-character that it was a lie (and you'd better find a good way to prove it's not true if you do screw up).

Unfortunately, yes, I had to add this as a rule. I really didn't think that we would need this rule since it seemed like common sense that the 'it's been said in-character so it's canon now' thing was a given, but it seems that it's become necessary after...that thing that happened on page 38. (...No, we're not happy about what happened there, either.)

6: Due to an incident where we killed off an RP character far too soon (before I finally posted some freaking rules for this), it would be best to consult the character's roleplayer as to whether or not it's alright to kill off said character.

7: Try to keep up and pay attention to what all is going on. If you feel out-of-the-loop and need a recap but don't want to rummage through the multiple pages of this thread to find where exactly you got lost, then just ask about it (in an OOC note so as to not confuse everyone); at least one of us would be glad to fill in anyone who's not up-to-date with this on any events that they should know about.

8: Keep to the usual forum rules. (...Duh...)

Not-so-much a rule as it is a good idea: We're not all too fond of Mary Sues/Gary Stus here (unless it's done on purpose/for the lulz a-la Parody Sue), so it's best you make sure that your characters don't become too much of a Sue/Stu. Important 2/6/2012 edit: There is no longer a character limit. Now just because I did that doesn't mean that you can go nuts and make twelve dozen characters for this; at least be a little reasonable with how many you make. This doesn't mean you can no longer put kids up for adoption or take one for yourself; adoption's always an option.

First I'd like to say that you should probably stick with the kids from the memes that you made unless you'd rather have someone else use them. Example: I don't think I'd do well as Kurgan Junior (demented child of The Kurgan from Highlander and The Acid Queen from Tommy made in one of my memes), so I gave M-B permission to use him if he'd like.

I'd like to know if we should have the parents themselves involved. Though that may cause problems as some of us have used the same characters in certain memes before.

Well, if we could come up with scenes involving the parents.

That'd probably cause problems for everyone (except maybe me and my tendency to use characters that no one else knows about), but it could be wicked fun if there was a way we could compromise on who gets to play who.

What do you intend on naming them by the way? Because not sure what name Ahsoka/Deadpool's kid should have.

I don't know about the ones you guys have, but I think I'll call the Sandy/Penguin one Piper. Like a sandpiper since she (yes, she) is Sandy's kid and Penguin is a bird fanatic (duh). I'm considering calling the Dawn/Oogie daughter Dusk, like the opposite of dawn. Still don't know what either of them will look like.

Perhaps Deadpool/Ahsoka's kid should be named Wilson Wilson.

I'm probably calling the Miku/Madotsuki girl Inochitori (Japanese for "fatal mistake") or Utayume ("uta" = "song", "yume" = "dream"). The Beldam/Hatter daughter will be called Madigan because I'm a Looking Glass Wars fan. Also, I changed my mind about the Italy/Steve kid. Instead, I'm going to use the Two-Bit/Pickle Inspector boy, because I think anyone with as high Imagination and Pulchritude, and Wit as he logically should have (assuming the defining characteristics of both parents are hereditary) could probably fuck someone up baaaad. His name will be Rowan because I like that name.

I decided to take a third option, could you tell? (Speaking of which, should there be a limit to how many kids we can use? Keep in mind, some of us do more memes than others.)
