Topic: Who Are You...Who? Who? Who? Who? (ahhh....CSI)
Suggested by Rowena DeVandal--and I think it's a good idea for a thread.

For those who want to introduce yourselves or know any weird facts about others.

Weird fact about me (as most of you know more about me than I do at this point....):

I have a scar on my neck where a dog bit me when I was four. W00t!

(I'll pin this thread later).

Hey it worked!!! ::happy dance::

Hi, i'm Rowena...i'm 30-something years old, write mostly X-Men fics set in the movieverse with a smattering of comic stuff here and there (what do you mean, Rogue can't fly?!) and for inspiration, i read books...does it have a front and back cover with at least 300 pages in between? i'll read it...:)

Interesting facts about me: I also do medieval re-creations for a hobby (interested? Ask me how!), which is where my pen name comes from and i have most of a degree in English, put on hold due to a sudden case of motherhood...but she goes to college after next school year, which frees me up to go back and finish that...:)

Nice to meet you all! Found this place from reading "The Fireplace"...and i know i mentioned this in another post, but...you all are better than cable!

Hi!

I am a female musician (lead guitar player/songwriter) and I have been in numerous bands. I have 5 guitars (one of them a rare Gibson Les Paul). I have done acting professionally and I also do oil painting. For money I do accounting (CFO).

Born and raised in Long Island,NY (LONGILAND... LOL!)I just moved to Colorado last year and it is breathtakingly (?) beautiful.

I have an identical twin sister, a husband, and a 3 year old daughter that I call mini-me because she is the spitting image of me.

You could probably say that I am a walking, talking, Mary-Sue in the flesh (I have lead a very diverse life so far).

I am brand new at writing and I have found that I love doing it.

Oh...I am also a Bible teacher oO.

My name's Hurky.

I'm 19 years old, majoring in English at a community college (since I couldn't head straight to the University. Plus, it's more cheaper than university). I write Kingdom Hearts fanfiction. That's mainly all for now.

Hello.

My given name is Stephen, although for all purposes I'm content with answering to my username. I'm an avid Powerpuff Girls fan (I don't care how gay that sounds), although I'm also quite fond of the Final Fantasy games and 80's television shows. Science is my best subject, ecspecially biology. I get obsessed with small things very easily, and I'm a little on the neurotic side. I am also an avid grammar freak.

I plan to use this account solely for criticism for now, allowing me to roast those who deserve it to my heart's content. I'm no sadist, but I do believe that if someone has polluted this site with a piece of dreck (or another original story *shudders*), then for God's sake, why beat around the bush about it. When a story sucks, it sucks, plain and simple.

Good day for now.

OMG it's WickedJelly
OMG I'm like so sooperly bored and hyper and am trying to procrastinate studying for stupid Biology finals SO that brings me here! Yippity yay!

Salutations!

I am Jelly. Or Wicked Jelly or OMG it's WickedJelly. Really, it's whatever floats your boat (which, by the way, is SO not better than my boat. My boat is perfect). Someone said my penname was interesting, and I AGREE! IT'S SPECTACULAR! I got it from...er...oh! I'm terribly, horribly, no good-ly, very badly infatuated with Wicked the musical and book. It's a double deal, yo! They rock. And my nickname is Jelly. Do you know what jelly is? No? Well, it's kind if like jam only it's jelly. Hahaha betcha didn't know that!

Wanna hear something COOL? Well, I like to sing! And I'm in love with Wicked, fyi, I just thought you'd want to know cos everybody loves me. I think. It's possible. It's in the stars...like fate from Romeo and Juliet! -mutters- Stupid Shakespeare. Ooh, go me - alliteration! Woohoo!

Um...so I have four Siamese cats. They're my loves. I'm a Jew. Go Jewish peoples! I keep kosher. No cheeseburgers for me, sadly. Are they yummy? Tell me!

-sings- Doooon't wor-ry. Beeeeee hap-py. I had a stuffed cat that sang that once. I loved it. Then it died.

Um...I better go before my post gets deleted! OMFG NO!

TOODLES!

Well, since I'm here (for once), I'll ramble on about myself.

Thirty years old, old maid, and enjoys erotica, BSDM, slash, non-con, and dark fics. Isn't that an interesting combination?

LOL.

My passions have always been conflicted. I'm an artist foremost, but after a good, long hiatus, I've taken up writing again. Not sure why; not sure if it will amount to anything, but I'm going for a publishing house after I complete my original novel. I've used fanfic to hone my skills, test out some ideas, and basically, muck up fandom to make my original stories pretty. I've read a lot of fiction, both published and not; I've polished my vocabulary, grammar, and style issues on my own time, and quite proud of that.

Heh, when I can rewrite notes that my managers make to the employees and make them sound articulate, then I know SOMETHING has paid off (that, and telling them that run-on sentences sound childish, and that no one will take them seriously if they use choppy passive verbs, and that "everyday" is not one word in the way they had used it--is priceless) LOL.

I think I mixed the interesting facts about myself within the paragraph. Oh well. Now you'll have to read it all won't you?

Oh yeah, I'm also Pretty Red Fire Hydrant.

I'm something in the teen area.

I love slash. And I argue with the people at my church about homosexuality and I pwn them so much. Maybe that's why they won't let me work behind the altar...or because I don't have a penis :[

My family belongs in a crazy house. I'll probably grow up to be like them.

Yeah...you probably don't want to know any more about me.

The Sugarfaerie
I'm in the late teens department (18).

I'm at university and love to procrastinate, hence fanfiction. Anything to get out of reading John Stuart Mill's philosophy on utilitarianism. I write in many fandoms, and write mostly minor characters. I love coming up with backstory for them. Unfortunately this also means that I don't get many readers and fics for my favourite characters are few, but oh well, at least I enjoy them. All my characters, fanfiction or otherwise, usually turn out to be rather nasty for some reason, or slightly psychotic. If I try and write a nice character they usually fall flat.

Galadel
I'm Galadel. I'm in my late twenties and have a graduate degree in Psychology. I write original fiction but love reading fan fiction, especially LotR.

I've lived in the States and in England but now reside back here in Connecticut. A strange fact about me is that I have eleven siblings. :-)

JustShotMarvin
Hi, I'm JustShotMarvin. Ten internets to whoever can guess where the name comes from. I actually JUST changed my name ten seconds ago cause my old one was a from an Evanescense (or whatever) song. Look. I was like... 15, okay? This name is way cooler (even though people kind of knew my old one. Oh well.)

Anyways! Call me Alex. 18 year old female gamer with too much time on her hands, thus all the fanfiction. Current love? Halo. Mostly Halo. Playing the new Halo ARG right now which is digital crack. September 25th needs to hurry the fuck up.

For ten some-odd seconds, I was thinking about listing all the games I love, but then you guys would kill yourselves because I'd never shut the fuck up.

Other shit I like? Drawing, very small cats, very large dogs, old cars, new cars, that funny new-car smell (yeah, I know it's highly toxic), sunflower seeds, the X-Files, wearing my really cool pink sunglasses, listening to the Foo Fighters so loud my car shakes, dancing around in my underwear, dancing in the bookstore, dancing in line, dancing with my cat(I can't dance well, but I have a lot of energy), playing Guitar Hero at 2 AM, arguing with my best friend about why we just died in Gears of War and whose fault it was (hers, btw), and the smell of napalm in the morning.

(Oh, and I love movies. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, particularly.)

Odd fact about me? I've had the Pirates of the Caribbean theme music stuck in my head for the last year and a half. Every time I turn around, that damn song is playing somewhere, and no matter what I do it won't go away.

Damn you, John Williams...

Jael Beruthiel
Hello, I'm Jael. The Beruthiel comes from the fact that someone at ff.net had beat me to it. Same at LiveJournal. Everywhere else, I'm just me.

I'm . . . older than I once was and younger than I'll be. Old enough to have attended a school without indoor plumbing. Is that odd enough for you?

I write increasingly improper LOTR fanfiction.

Odd fact about me? I've had the Pirates of the Caribbean theme music stuck in my head for the last year and a half. Every time I turn around, that damn song is playing somewhere, and no matter what I do it won't go away.

I agree that John Williams is deserving of damnation, just on general principles, but Pirates of the Caribbean was written by Klaus Badelt or Hans Zimmer, depending. ;)

...I thought John Williams did the music. He does the music for like... every movie ever. Like ILM does all the effects.

...::cough:: Hans Zimmer is just John Williams in disguise.

Hi there! I'm Skip-beat, although I keep changing my name, to the confusion of EVERYONE! My interests are playing Tales of Symphonia and reading manga, mostly. I also love to watch movies! PotC is my favorite right now. Odd fact about me: I have a scar near my eye from when I was hit in the face with a softball.

Melreincarna
Salut! I am Melreincarn, which was meant to be short for Melissa Reincarnated, however everyone calls me Mel now. The people I love most met me here. Sad isn't it? I owe invaluable debt to this site and the TV show Flight 29 Down. As such, I have consolidated and pay both with my fics. Bad attempt at a pun, sorry.

Oddest fact about me: I hate discussing myself, yet, I did this. I find it odd anyway.

Hi, I'm Aislynn. I found this forum after being intrigued by some remarks of a friend, and have been lurking for a while. May I play, too?

I'm forty-something and like LOTR, Silmfic, Highlander, PoTC, and several other fantasy fandoms. I have written some stories in Highlander and in LOTR; nowadays, I write mostly very dark LOTR AU slashfics. I like well crafted AU, Darkfic, and stories containing slash, BDSM, and debatable consent. Oh, and I write them, too. Which means that most of my current stories are not posted on fanfiction net due to rating problems.

Odd fact about me: Internet-addicted and loving it. And I do seem to have an adverb problem, lately.

ChatterChick
Greetings! I'm ChatterChick, a sixteen year old girl with a love of writing, and insomnia... thank goodness for ffnet because it's given me something to do between the hours when normal people go to bed and when *I* go to bed.

I only write in the HP fandom, but I venture into LOTR, and other movie and book fandoms. I've discovered after my first story (under a different penname) that my romance fics are awful, so I tend to shy away from them. I enjoy writing action adventure, drama and the occassional humour piece. However, I'm a sucker for a good romance story;)

Weird Stuff: Despite my penname, I'm not that chatty in real life.

Oh, and since I live in Canada, and I'm sixteen, that means the roads are no longer safe. Watch out world, ChatterChick's behind the wheel! Mouahahaha!

Hello! I've lurked for the past hour or so (and posted something on the grammars section, not having seen this thread), and honestly, you guys are the most helpful flamers I've ever seen! If I promise to contribute helpful tidbits, may I join? :) And a weird fact... um, I absolutely adore (- that would be italicized if I were computer savvy and knew how) odd little symbolisms and mythological references that I stuff down my stories' throats. It's like medicine. This symbolism/history/mythology fetish leads to the inconvenience of mindlessly surfing the 'net, thereby procrastinating on those lovely torture devices one calls homework. Oh, and I'm a compulsive perfectionist, but that isn't too weird, considering the forum I'm on. :)

I'm WuHaoNi and I'm an grammerholic.

(Hello WuHaoNi)

Is that even a word??

Anyway, I'm Asian American, major props to those who guess which country based on my pename.

I'm 16, female, and am always looking for more ways to improve my writing.

I spend way too much time on this website than I should be, considering I have homework to do...over the summer. (Advance Placement here I come!)

Besides writing fanfic for TV shows, I also write original stories.

And that's me.

Hello, my name is Maja and I'm coming from Croatia. My English is very bad so I need some help around my grammar. I'm very polite and if you say that I am stupid or anything like that I will admit, I am stupid.

I love singing, acting, writing, reading, drawing...

I've joined this site because I love writing and I think that is stupid to keep those writings only for yourself and don't show it to others, because what's point of writing them then?

I'm blind on one eye. I decided to come on this forum because I saw that there are lot of good advices here and I need them. Everything else that you need to know about me is in my profile. (And I am female!)

My (nick)name is Fen. I have written under professionals for about three years, and a few more without professional help before that. I tend to use E-Prime in my writing, excluding first person narration and dialogue, and like to write in genres borderlining psychological thriller, usually involving people not quite in their right mind. I like authors like Robert Cormier, Joyce Carol Oates, David Klass and others with similar style. I tend to gain a happy, hyper, wild reputation but consider myself more of a contemplative thinker. I'm generally friendly, but it's not hard to cross me, and I tend to miss factors in the conclusions I draw in my state of anger until at least hours afterward - around that time, I end up on my hands and knees apologizing.

I write with my left hand. My head is abnormally large. I'm not wearing shoes right now.

Maryilee
Hi, I just joined the party here. I go by Maryilee. I'm in my early 40s and I'm obsessed with Friday Night Lights--the tv show, not the movie or book. When I'm not hanging out on FNL forums or writing fanfic about it, I go to work as a respiratory therapist.

I've been writing fanfic for about ten years. I began writing for Early Edition, did a few crossovers with that and various other fandoms, my favorite being Quantum Leap. I still write EE fic, but sadly there are very few people left who remember the show.

I have also written one Emergency fanfiction. For all you youngsters out there, that show, which aired in the early to mid 70s, played a huge role in expanding the paramedic program around the country. I bet if you poll any paramedic over the age of 35 or so, they'll tell you they loved watching Emergency when they were a kid and it influenced their decision to become a paramedic or EMT.

Often on the fanfiction boards, I feel totally out of place because my fandoms aren't HP, LOTR, POC or some type of anime. I had never even heard of anime until a year or so ago. In my mind, it's a bunch of cartoons. lol. Sorry, not trying to offend, it's just that I stopped watching most cartoons when I was a kid. Back then, they weren't geared at adults. (of course, I do watch The Simpsons, King of the Hill and Family Guy, so I guess I do watch cartoons still)

I do understand the appeal of those shows because the first time I ever tried to create my own story from a show, I was about five years old and my best friend and I played like we were Speed Racer. I was the one who thought up the stories, she just went along. Later, another friend and I acted out our own Starsky and Hutch stories. LOL. Yeah, I'm weird, but I KNOW all of you probably did something similar.

I'm AMournfulSoul. I am in my teenage years, and today is my birthday. I love sweats (Yes, a weird fact, but true, especially(sp?) in the thirty degree heat a few days ago.) I hate really hot weather, I prefer 15-19 degrees celcius. I am Canadian, and on the western-ish side. I don't like sports, and I play the Clarinet. I helped with percussion once this year.

I listen to weird music. I have all the dark, sad songs (Solitude, by Evanescence) and then I have Barbie Girl, by Aqua. I then have all the I love you, but we can't be together songs(Past the Point of no return, POTO), and then weird stuff like Sexy Back and Elmos got a gun. Yes, I listen to weird music...

I'm Joeb, I say this because you may not be able to figure it out any other way...

Anyway, I'm more on the random/weird side of fanfiction. SSBM is the main area I'm in though I also check out some smaller catigories like Freedom Fighters, Starcraft, Shenmue, and all of that fun stuff.

I found out about this whole Flame Rising deal when he flamed a story right next to mine, and now that I know more about his methods, at least I can take pride in my summaries not completely sucking.

Anyway, I'll mostly be lurking, though the occasional shameless plug or question may come up here or there. I'm just here to learn a thing or two.

I'm working on a novel called Marion's Ducks at the moment, but I won't say what it's about because I don't want nasty people stealing my ideas. keyko101
I don't think I've introduced myself on this forum...

I'm keyko101, I joined this forum a while back (but I was mostly posting on the other forum) but due to family issues, I had to take some time off from communicating with a lot of people. And then I came back!

Online, I only go by two main usernames; keyko101 and eyez409. Simply because I couldn't think of a username better than those. I'm an artist... sort of. I'm like the weird idiot on dA (by the name of eyez409). I lurked around on a lot of sites for quite a while...

I can only write stories in the Invader Zim, X-Men, and Teen Titans sections. I don't know why...

In real life, I'm Bintou (pronounced 'been to'). I'm a girl (born on January 24th) and my favourite colour is orange. I have two older sisters (who I've never met face to face) and one older brother (who's staying with us for one more week before he goes back to France). I happen to be the youngest. My parents are divorced and I live with my Mum.

I seem to have the worst of luck for some reason. Too many near-death incidents. Horrifying, I know.

And there you go, that's me.

And on a random note: I have that Beck song stuck in my head.

I'm Torrie and I'm in my twenties - I've been writing fanfiction since before I knew such a term for it actually existed and I first started posting on ff.net years ago, but have since changed accounts. I am, however, very new to actually using the forums - so hello! :)

I'm a journalist but, while I love that, writing fiction is my real (and largely secret) passion - I'm not naive enough to think I'm good enough for it to pay the bills though.

Randomly, I love thunderstorms, the smell of a freshly mown lawn, Skittles and curling up with a good book or movie and I can't concentrate to write when it's quiet.
