![]() You guys ever watch any of those banned Disney propaganda films from WWII? Donald Duck makes an awesome Nazi. MIssed that but probably does. A Charlie Chaplin movie making fun of Hitler was played during the middle of World War 2! They made Muscleni, with a Cuban accent, call Hilter, Hinky, it was hilarious! Maybe b/c of that the Nazis bombed so hard. 9/24/2007 #15Disney movies are hilarious! |

![]() Hey guys? You do realise that Disney destroys the original fairy tales. Here's some examples: 10/17/2007 . Edited 10/17/2007 #22The Little Mermaid: In the original version she DIES because she was unable to kiss the prince! Pocahontas: (I know I didn't spell that right but you guys should know what I'm talking about) Her name wasn't even Pocahontas AND she dies from a disease in London! I swear there is only one word for it... PLAGARISM!!! !!DISNEY CHANNEL ROCKS!! |
![]() I swear there is only one word for it... PLAGIARISM!!! 10/17/2007 #23How about adaptation? And considering most of the old fairy tales (specifically before the Grimms for instance sanitised a whole bunch of now famous stories) were almost without fail quite gruesome. And Pocahontas is not a fairy tale, it's historical fact, but I don't think Terence Malick's The New World is any more historically accurate than the Disney version. And finally these films are mostly aimed at children, so imagine the uproar this stuff would get if they followed the very original source material. Ugh... see me defending Disney! I disgust myself... |
![]() Pirates of the Carribeann was the only Disney movie I liked. 10/20/2007 #24 |
![]() Isn't that more like a Jerry Bruckheimer production, though? 10/20/2007 #25 |
