Topic: What kind of Boone fanfic do you like?
Given that Daniel Boone stories are historical fiction, do you like action/adventure, romance, mystery/thriller, fantasy or is it hurt/comfort or angst that grabs your attention?

Is it the family stories? Stories about the Cherokee or Shawnee? Frontier or revolutionary war stories? Is it a particular character(s)?

Do you like character driven or plot driven stories? Do you want to know your favorite characters thoughts and feelings, see him wrestle with emotional or 'meaning of life' stuff or see him plunge over the side of a cliff and hang on the edge of his life for a little while? ;-)

Is it none of the above? What kind of Boone fanfic would you like to read?

I'm pretty easy to please but I'm partial to action/adventure that matches the show. I never really liked the family drama eps that featured Israel or Jemima. Israel was just annoying to me really! LOL Some Israel fan is going to give me heck for that!

;-)As you know, I'm very partial to h/c that involves my fav character.;-)

I love to read adventure stories--they blow up a bridge, they get held hostage by the British, Mingo has to save Daniel or vice versa. My favorite DB is the one where Mingo poses as the British guy who invented the gun and Daniel and Becky have to save him. I'm not good at writing those.

I like to write the touch/feely stuff although will play in the adventure area a bit. I like to find out what makes people tick and why they do what they do.

Touchy/feely's good too! I guess the adventure part is what provides the 'danger' to the characters but it could be psychological as opposed to physical at times. There are lots of 'relationships' on the DB show, because of the number of regular cast members, and there are 'missing' relationships that obviously might interest a fanfic writer like Mingo's missing love interest. Cincinnatus and Yadkin could have love interests too though! LOL

Come on and join in. You've obviously had some experience with fanfiction.net for a while.

I'm seriously thinking of dusting off a few lines of a story and working on it. I find I need vacations from other stories once in a while and doing Daniel Boone would be fun. I love writing and usually am working on three or four stories at once! Yeah, a few canon questions and I'll be set. Thanks.

Yes do join in Melchy. I'm a 'relationship' gal myself. I think you are talking my style around here. I can see a lot of angles for us relationship gals with DB! I'm going to be checking out your other fic, too. I like everything you like! LOL

I hope you enjoy my other fiction and that it encourages you to think that my DB fic might be right up your alley! It does sound as though we like many of the same things.

I like a little bit of everything.

1. Start with two pounds of adventure.

2. Mix in some suspence.

3. Add a couple drops of romance.

4. Mix in some Indians and one coonskin cap, and wha-lah! The perfect Daniel Boone story!
