What are your fav. Balfran moments. What clue from the game do you feel have Balfran written all over it.

Oh! You know the part when Blathier says the, "Nobody knows men like Fran.", line. They just look at each other. It made me laugh.

That line is part of the inspiration for Fran Goes On Jerry Springer, Lisa's disturbing little story (which I am co-writing!). The thought crossed my mind, but then I dismissed it as my typical dirty little mind.

All the stuff that's already been mentioned, plus the fact that they just generally know things about each other that niether seem especially likely to talk about. I of course adore that scene in the Pharos, which when my fiance and I were playing through the game prompted both of us to be like "I knew it, they're married." (Hey, Balthier wears enough rings that you wouldn't really notice if one of them had a particular significance and... um... rings bother Fran's fingers. Have I thought about this too much? XD)

I didn't comment outloud about the couple of vaguely suggestive comments from Balthier, just sort of smiled to myself when they came up. ;)

I also in generally love this pairing because in a lot of ways Fran reminds me of me and Balthier reminds me of my fiance, so it's sort of like a fantasy us, which is kind of cool.

Favorite moment? I actually HAVEN'T reached this point in the game but I don't care. I saw it on Youtube. When she collaspes and he carries her out and she's all like 'I think you're in more of a supporting role.' and he's all 'Fran please.'

I must say, adorable.

Well, I like many times with BalFran in the game. And most of them I haven't even reached in the game, only seen the scenes on Youtube or Veoh -.-

But here are they:

First: In the jungle where they are having their little 1-on-1 chat and Fran says "You are ill at ease"... I don't know, it just symbolizes that they know eachother well.

Second: That with the stroking-face thingy, as many of you has written about. Also his reply to her talk about being a Skypirate. "I suppose you'd better hold on, then...", it kind of symbolizes that he won't go anywhere without here... So adorable! ^^

Third: Also the one that Splenda wrote about, it is so cute how they always seem to be there for eachother. ((At the time where they fight against Doctor Cid, he even has an arm around her to keep her from falling)).

I've started my game over, seeing as I missed some sidequest and just found something new with BalxFran!!

When you talk to the boy Johm, near the sandsea after escaping from Nalbina, he says he tried to steal from Fran, but instead bumped into her, in a bad kinda way.

She didn't seem to mind, and just ignored him, but Balthier got mad XD

Maybe my mind's just twisted, but I think Balthier went on a jealous streak there XD

"I always knew Fran didn't take well to being tied down"

or something like that...that could lead to a LOT of implications...

Hi there, fellow Balfran lover joining the fun!

I just started playing the game again (I got to the Henne Mines first time round and gave up cos I was useless at levelling up and couldn't defeat anything) and in my second attempt I've just got to the "nobody knows men like Fran does" bit, and I TOTALLY didn't realise how long they stood and just looked at each other when Balthier said that! I mean, someone... Basch, is it?... starts talking and it's like our lovable sky pirates are in a world of their own, just staring at each other! I loved that part :D

Yep, it's definitely a gorgeous little balfran moment! Course, I love all the other balfran bits as well and wish there were more of them. I also don't have the right console for Revenant Wings so I haven't played it... :( But I've heard about the relevant balfran bits in that, and they sound so cute... grrrrrrrrrr, can this pairing get any more gorgeous?!

I love all the Balthier/Fran moments in the game too and yes I do wish there were more, but look on the brightside if you're a fan of the pairing we got the best fanservice for them more than any other supposed pairing in the game. The pic shown during the end credits was an added bonus I guessXD! Ah I love balfran!

What picture would that be? There are several in the ending credits. The only Balthier and Fran pics I can think of are when they are seperate. Fran with her sisters, and Balthier as a bab with his father. What pic do you speak of?

There is one. It's of Balthier with his arm around Fran, if I remember correctly. It's been a while so I can't remember clearly, but I do know there is the picture.

Yep that would be the one lol! They looked really laid back in that one. Fran had on different clothes with her hair down and Balthier was just wearing his white shirt without that tight vest on.:)

Ha, I love that picture! That's how I see them when it's just the two of them.

And Balthier not wearing that vest is fine with me, even though I do think it's gorgeous. Thing is, he's more gorgeous and no vest would only mean easier access, right? :D

And my best friend says I'm bonkers for fancying computer game guys... :D

Yeah I definitely see something between them beyond a simple partnership. They both share something deep that cannot be expressed with simple words but through their actions. I was a bit surprised when Balthier showed his softer side or true self mostly when conversing with Fran, but with everyone else he put on his little 'devil may care' facade to impress them. Fran is the only one who truly understands him and vice versa, but that's just my thoughts about them:)

Balthiers two main concerns in life...Fran and the Strahl. Romantic or not they seem to 'love' each other beyond the whole partnership thing.

That is true... They just seem to always know what the other thinks about. Again reffering to their talk in Golmore Jungle... Fran actually says:

,,You've let your eyes betray your heart" while looking at him real funny, and his only comment is ,,Right". That makes me laugh everytime I think about it.

And about that love part that some can see and so on, I must admit I can't picture them kissing for an example, since I have the idea of the guy being taller than the lady, which Fran kind of ruins because of her viera-height, but still, I do NOT believe that they are merely friends and partners. There HAS to be something beneath it, there is way too many clues in the game for there NOT to be!

That's how I feel, Seb-pin. I was always content with the fact that they were the coolest characters in XII and partners at that. But with all the hidden innuendos in their conversations and their actions towards the end of the game, it makes you go "Hmm" Even in the mini-game when you hook the lovestruck guy up with the Viera he mentions something about two pirates who opened up his eyes to the possibilties of a Hume/Viera relationship. Hmm..

When I read stories about them and they kiss or doing something more I just can't help but to have this silly smile plastered on my face because it is hard to imagine it, not on Balthier's part, but Fran's. Do Viera's really love? I don't know, she's such a mystery, but that's why I love her.:)

Well, Stefan, Michelle (Sorry im not using your user-names, but I suck at remembering those things) I didn't really mean to make you go up against each other, and Stefan, I'm sorry if I seemed disrespectful, but that is just my view on it.

And Duchess, that with the lovestruck guy, I do SO believe that it was Fran he was talking about, and I was like "NO DON'T TELL THEM!!!" XD I just pictured something bad was gonna happen. And that about the Vieras being able to love: I do believe Fran is able to, since he is quite unlike other Viera, as Balthier points out in the beginning of the game. ,,Well, Fran is strange in that she'd deign to part with a hume" (Fran) "Oh? Like a Sky Pirate who chooses to steal through the sewers." XDXD makes me laugh all the time.

I LOVE THIS PAIRING! I can imagine them being in love. Heck, every one of my fics is a BalFran in one way or another XD In A Different Shade Of Gray, Fran is deflowered by our leading man, a scenario I can imagine. But what do I know. Apologies for the shameless plug! XD
