(I posted one post in Subway--in fact, the first appearance of the guy about to come in--but he's not there anymore (he's here), so it's free as far as I know.)

Finally, the wall gave way with a crack of splintering wood. Pieces of it showered in, Julia batting one out of the air to stop its path towards her. Through the crumbling hole stepped Kama--a nine-foot-tall, hugely-muscled beast of a man (full description below!). He rose to almost his full height, hunching over under the low ceiling.

"Roberts," he growled. "I've found you."

"Damn, you're persistent," Julia muttered, backing away, and he took a thundering step forwards. "I know this guy--bullets and blades won't kill him, but they might slow him down. Best chance is to run!" She turned, dashing for the door, lashing out with her foot and knocking her bed over in Kama's path as she went. He snarled, picking it up in one hand and hurling it through another wall.

(In case you didn't see any of the other times I've described him, Kama has long white hair, veins that bulge out and glow slightly, and wears a martial arts uniform. He's superhumanly strong and tough, and an expert at martial arts. Better than Julia, and probably better than Chase, as he seems more gun/technology-skilled, as opposed to Julia, who's a fairly dedicated fighter, and even she is not as good as Kama...)

"Teleport," she replies breathlessly. "Definitely not fight." Kama bursts out of the doorway, taking the doorframe with him and hurling it at them, missing slightly. "Hey, I just got that room! Stop smashing it up!"

"I will destroy you! He yells. "You cannot hide!" She shrugs off her jacket and throws it in his face, turning his charge into an awkward stumble, and Chase's bullets send him staggering back. She cuts a strip-light from the ceiling with her sword and it falls on his head, knocking him over.

She turns back to Chase. "Now! Before he gets back up!"

(His home's good, as she's new in this world, and doesn't know many places).

Julia collapses into a chair, panting. "To but it simply, I was on the other side of a war. In my home dimension, the planet--most of it, anyway--is ruled by an empire of demons like him--his name's Kama, by the way. Although, they're not all as powerful as he is, or it'd be impossible to beat them. Anyway, I think they're under the impression that I came here deliberately, and am trying to build an army over here, or something incredibly stupid like that." She turns her sword back into a knife, sheathing it. "They couldn't be more wrong--I arrived completely by accident, and at first I just wanted to go home...but now that I think about it, it's kind of a crappy home, so..." She leans back in the chair. "I'm okay in this world for the moment."

(They can stay in his place for a bit, but should they go back to the school later in the day, when the help he's called arrives? If so, there's a couple things I need her to do to prepare before they leave, so if you could wait a bit before those other people get here, if that's okay with you?)

("What people?" When you said "He calls 911, then his cousin", and mentioned Tails, I assumed you meant they were coming to help. I guess you must have just meant that they were going to get supplies, like they did, and the police were going to arrive at the school, which I presume they have...and I imagine if Kama's still there he's giving them a hard time. Anyway, my bad, I must have just got the wrong idea about what you said. Never mind, but I'm still pretty sure the rest of my last post applies...)

(Also, long, dramatic-ish post, woo!)

"Thanks. Huh. I'm doing a lot of thanking recently," she mused, drinking the coke. "You know, you should get in mortal danger, or at least mild inconvenience, sometime. Then I could help out, and I wouldnt be saying thanks all the time. Hmm, I do ramble sometimes, don't I?" She stood up. "Anyway, I need to prepare...there's a lot of energy involved in travelling between dimensions, and I think some of it got trapped in my body. I feel different, but not exactly stronger, so I think it's untapped energy...I need to find an open space to find out."

She walked over to the door and peered out. "Ah-hah! You can follow me if you like, but I can't promise anything teribly exciting...I'm just going to practice my fighting tehcnique." She went around to the back of the building and clambered up the fire escape, pulling herself up to the roof. "Right!" She stood in a fighting stance and focused. She could feel the energy there, lying dormant in her soul...Kama must have not received any when he followed her, as his human body was technically dead...she realised she was cold, remembering that she had thrown her jacket to distract Kama earlier, and her top wasn't exactly the warmest. Never mind--the cold would keep her on edge, and focused.

She closed her eyes, going through the familiar motions--punches, kicks, blocks--shadow boxing the invisible opponent, training in the intangible dojo. She started to move faster, and felt something inside stir. Faster and faster, more elaborate moves, jumping, spinning, always stopping just before the edge of the roof, turning to face another direction, leaping away to perform another move. Her limbs became a blur, and she realised she was moving faster than she had ever gone before. She kicked the empty coke can she had set down into the air, then punched it as it span, knocking it away over the rooftops and out of view. She kept going, coming to another realisation: the ground felt different. She opened her eyes, stopping her relentless training, and saw that her feet were not touching anything.

She was floating about a foot above the roof, perfectly still. She clenched her fists, sparks of electricity flickering up and down her arms. She didn't feel tired at all. Normally she was flat on her back after a few solid minutes of this. Now she felt like she could go on all day. She grinned, touching down to the roof and walking to the edge, then stepping off into the air, feeling the strange pressure on her feet again. She began to slowly lower herself to the ground. It wasn't flight, exactly, but making a sort of platform of energy under her feet--so she could not move any faster in the air than on the ground, and unfortunately wouldn't be able to do that cool Superman flying pose--but it was very, very cool, and proof of the new power she had acquired. Would she be stronger than Kama? Quite possibly not, but the two of them together would stand a good chance this time, especially if Chase got some heavier weapons (hint). And, of course, if he was still willing to help her. "Chase!" she called. "I think I'm ready to go back."

(She 'called', not just 'said', as I guess he's either on the roof, watching, or inside, not watching, either way she's now on the ground, outside, and hence not near her.

"Nice work. This Tails works fast. I guess I'll have one of the rifles," Julia says, thoughtfully. "I don't really know much about guns, so you can take your pick of the heavy stuff and I'll have what's left. I wonder about the armour, though..." She takes Chase's handgun. "Excuse me, need to check something..." She shoots it at the palm of her hand, and winces at the impact, but when she opens her hand, the bullet is crumpled, and there's nothing more than a slight dent in her hand, which will smooth out in a few hours. She shakes her hand to reduce the pain. "No, even with this improvement, I'm not quite bulletproof...I think I will need the armour." (assuming there's 2 or more sets of armour, correct me if I'm wrong) She hoists the rifle over her shoulder and checks her knife was secure in its sheath. "By the way...back at the school, we were both in danger. But now, you could just leave and he wouldn't follow you--it's me he's after. So I have to ask, why are you helping me? Not that I don't appreciate it..."

(sorry, I had to go and eat...you know, nothing important, just keeping myself alive :) and soon I shall have more things to do...because real life exists...)

"Yeah, sure, I can handle the minigun," she said. "I might not be the best shot, but hey, if I put out enough bullets--and this will--I'm bound to hit something. Hopefully something I want reduced to a cloud of dust," although the had a feeling Kama would not go down quite that easily. She was surprised at how light the gun felt with her new strength, although she still held it two-handed, to help with the aim. "Shall we go?"

(To the School Grounds Thread? And if so, I did make a post there, but that was Kama arriving before he attacked us, so ignore it--it happened in the past. Also, I'm going to say that when we're fighting him, to speed it up a bit, feel free to post a bit of what he does or how he reacts to things, as opposed to the usual rule of 'you can't make other people's characters do things', as long as you don't have him do anything stupid, and I'd rather he didn't die, at least not for a while...)

(Yeah, it's good...sorry, I have to sleep. I don't know what timezone you're in, I'm in the UK, so it might be the middle of the day for you, but I will make a post on the school ground thread within 24 hours of now...)

"Eh..." Julia thinks for a minute about how best to explain. "Well, in my dimension, there are these demons--they're beings made of invisible energy, who normally can't affect the real world. But they can possess a dead body, once the human soul has left it empty, and anyway, a few hundred years ago they all banded together and took over a large portion of the world. By now, they control just about all of Europe and Asia..." They reach the building and enter. "Recently, there's been a lot of unrest, and various small protests and rebellions took place in Western Europe. Eventually, it got too much for the governments to control, and there was a full-scale revolution. America has sent troops over to help the rebels, and the entire world is currently locked in a war. I'd been fighting on the front line for months before I got here..."

Julia follows him into his dorm. "Hey, nice place," she says, noting it's much bigger than hers was, which confirms her opinion that the people in charge here just don't care. "At least I don't have to go to any lessons until tomorrow, so I won't get in trouble for missing them...just for demolishing half the dorms and other minor things..."

(Ah, exams. Mine don't start for a couple months...)

Julia turns to face him when she hears the question. She idly rubs a sore spot on her neck where she was hit in the fight.

"Well, my family...I haven't seen my parents for years. My brother--older--he was killed by the demons in my world. It's what made me join the fight against them. Which, by the way, is also where I learnt most of my fighting skills. You have to learn quick, or you die." She starts restlessly tapping her fingers on the chair, not used to being still and at ease. "It also helped that, coming through the dimensional rift to this world, I absorbed a huge amount of energy, which boosted my physical abilities hugely. Sorry," she added, smiling apologetically as she realised how formally she was talking by the end. "I get kind of technical and obsessive when I start talking about martial arts..."

"Hmm..." She thinks for a minute, not entirely sure herself. "Wait a minute. In all this madness, I'd forgotten--this is a school. I guess we have classes or something tomorrow."
