WitchesRevelTopic: Intro to Forum Okay, so I've been recently obsessing over this musical, because my friend introduced me to it. I probably would have heard about it a LOT earlier, if I hadn't missed the Tony Awards. Whatever. I know about it now. As all of you probably already know, this Broadway musical won 8 Tony Awards--nominated for eleven. Apparently it's still in New York and I'm dying to see it! If only they came here to Toronto. =( Anyways... here are the rules: 1a. This forum WAS made for people who love this musical, but if there ARE people who hated it, they are entitled to their opinions. 1b. Unless they're trolls and you can't understand a word they're saying half the time. 2. The swearing is censored out here. You never know--there might be an eleven-year-old who loves musicals and might fall upon this. Most of the people on ff.net write as if they were younger, either way. 3. Anybody could make a topic here. Not just me. 4. Have fun! No, I am not a moderator, but I DID create this forum for you people. I'll probably create more rules later on. But remember... be nice and fair here. That's what really counts. Oh, and obsessing over Spring Awakening. That counts too ^_^ |

Dignified MadmanI'm hoping this is the right place to reply to this forum ...OMGSQUEE! I love Spring Awakening. I also wish that they would come to Toronto. The other day I ordered the script and vocal book from Amazon. The play is so amazing |

onthelineNot sure if I should create a topic or just post here either...but I love Spring Awakening! I think it's amazing. The script was just so clever, and every bit is completely intriguing.| #3 Oct 19th 2007, 12:03am

WitchesRevelOh, I know! The dialogue (I probably spelled that wrong), the music--ALL of it. It IS completely intriguing! I didn't even realize people had replied. xD I really hope they come here to Toronto soon. I'm glad I'm not the only one. xD |

onthelineYou spelled it right. (: It is seriously amazing. I've been bugging my friends to see it! Lol, did you know you can subscribe to this forum, so that every time someone replies, ff sends you an email. :) Who's your favorite character? | #5 Oct 19th 2007, 10:05am

WitchesRevelYay. xD I've been bugging my PARENTS to see it. One of my friends already saw it in New York, which makes me jealous. Luckily, she loved it enough to wanna see AGAIN, so I'm either seeing it with her during March Break, or with my family (GOING to New York, probably seeing it by myself xD) during Christmas break. I'm afraid neither are gonna happen. tear And yeah. I've been on fanfiction for such a long time. It was around the time when they heightened the site when I started getting bored with it, because EVERYTHING (not only on SA, but absolutely EVERY section) was filled with slash fics or mary-sue fics. Then somebody replied to this forum. xD I made it around July. lol =) | #6 Oct 19th 2007, 12:55pm

onthelineAw. You haven't seen it yet? Well I really hope you get to see it! I saw it in NY with one of my best friends. It made my LIFE. xDDOh, I see. (: What are other musicals do you like? Is SA your favorite? |

WitchesRevelNo, I think I'll have to wait a long time. And by then the original cast won't be there anymore, which makes me sad. I saw a bootlegged download actually. But I honestly can't base my opinion on something like that. My friend told me the real thing is the best. So I can't say it's my favorite musical, since I OFFICIALLY haven't seen it yet. I'm like that. xD And the musicals I HAVE seen on stage are Wicked, Mamma Mia, and Phantom of the Opera. That We Will Rock You show is here and I'm seeing it with my friends for my birthday. =) But every other musical that I like are stuff like Across the Universe, Chicago (movie), Moulin Rouge, Evita (movie), Annie TV movie, Rent (movie), and stuff like that. Yeah, we don't get much musicals here, but the movies. xD |

musicandschoolislifeJonathon Groff and Lea Michele are still there, John Gallagher Jr. just had his last performance as Moritz (Mortiz is now played by one of the actors from 'One Tree Hill') a week ago (saddly, I didn't see it.) You can't say you haven't experienced the thrill of 'Spring Awakening' until you've seen it live. I thought I loved it before I saw it and then I the musical in November and watching the show, live was overwhelming and completely amazing (even though Jonathon Groff didn't play Melchior that night, Matt Doyle did and he did a pretty nice job!!)For those who aren't in New York, there's a 'Spring Awakening' Tour starting hopefully in early 2008 (I read that in the article about John Gallagher Jr. leaving on playbill.com... Hopefully it's a world wide tour! |
