Moony's MetamorphmagusTopic: The Eleventh Doctor: Seeing into the Future One day, no matter how much we want him to stay, David Tennant will leave the "Doctor Who" set and a new Doctor will be introduced to us. As DT is signed on through 2010, it's not an immediate threat, one might say, to the Doctor legacy. But just as a matter of curiousity, when he leaves, (sniff), who would you want to see fill the role? Would it be John Hannah? (The Mummy) Would it be Ioan Gruffudd? (Fantastic Four) Or someone entirely different? Leave your idea, as well as what movie or TV show he played in. Good luck! |

JayeliwoodFrom what I've heard they are considering Daniel Radcliffe. I think he would be a bit too young but it would be interesting. I would watch it. Lord knows they would had masses of harry potter fans watching and it would boost their ratings even more. I've also heard they've considered girls... wouldn't that just make every DW scream! Wouldn't that make a load of pervy Rose/Doctor Fan fics... very very interesting. |

Moony's MetamorphmagusDan Radcliffe, huh? From one HP character to another. He is too young though. I don't think he'd be able to carry that weight. Harry Potter's one thing, having been around only a decade, but he'd have a legacy that started back in 1963 to deal with.As for a woman, if they do, I will never watch it with that. Ever. Now, say, if he and Marth switched bodies or something, then yeah, for a while he would be a female doctor, but not the Doctor. I could deal with that. Keep up the topics, people, I'm very interested! |

JayeliwoodI have to agree with you on both parts. Dan is too young. Now maybe if they had him maybe... split? Into two doctors, accidently. Man and women. Or maybe from his memory. Like bring his mother or sister in for a bit. Did they have titles too? lol If he split would it be the doctor and the nurse? |
Moony's MetamorphmagusI visualize someone reviving Romana like RTD did the Master before they bring in a relative, although it remains a possibility. And Martha Jones would not take kindly to being called a nurse. She's working to become a doctor, after all. |
JayeliwoodI'm not talking about Martha, she's leaving. I'm talking about if the doctor some how split. |
Moony's MetamorphmagusAh, I see. Still, just because someone's a woman doesn't automatically make them a nurse. I once knew a fellow that was going toward a degree in nursing. More likely, it'd be the two doctors. |
JayeliwoodI know, I was just joking. I think it would be an interesting thing to see. Would he want to come back together or keep seperate. Would he feel like he was missing a part of himself or would he feel more whole because there was another time lord, even if it was just a repeat of himself. |

Moony's MetamorphmagusHey, that's what the forum's here for, to talk about what might happen. Frankly, I'm glad someone is interested in the topic. Also, he seemed tickled to see himself in the Time Crash special. If you haven't seen it yet, here's the best link. I hope it still exists. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfL-ZjLL-Tg&feature=related Anyway, thanks for the chat! |
Jayeliwoodhehe... Another thing I'm curious to is how will he die this time? It almost always seems like he's saving someone right before hand. Will it be a dalek? Again. I hope it's someone completely different from Tennant (as much as I love him) I think it's time to have someone a bit darker. |
Moony's MetamorphmagusI had a dream he jumped in front of a sword. I doubt that's a good omen, but then again, it was just a dream. As for darker, if there is someone darker, there's a chance the Valeyard could still exist. Hmmm.... |
JayeliwoodThis doctor is a bit more irresponsible it seems then the last. I think he puts himself in danger on purpose. |
Moony's MetamorphmagusYeah. Must've been an aftereffect of sacrificing his previous life for Rose. |
Rebecca CunninghamBill Nighy (The guy who portrayed Davy Jones and Alex Rider's stiff boss). I looked up wikipedia for some likely candidates for doctor 11, go and see for yourself. The only fear I have theoretically is suppose the producers decide to make the next future doctor into a girl (This is the far off future). Le gasp, no drool fodder (Maybe we will be force to drool for the male companion or Jack). |
Moony's MetamorphmagusMm, I don't think the people at Doctor Who would want to pay that much for Bill Nighy. I wonder if he got picked for Rufus Scrimgeorer? As for a gender-switch regeneration... Will never touch the episodes as long as I live if they do something stupid like that. |

Moony's MetamorphmagusXTRA! XTRA! It has been revealed that in the Christmas 2008 special, titled "The Next Doctor," David Morrissey will be playing a supposedly future version of the Doctor! Look at Wikipedia! Is this true? Could it be that David Tennant is actually considering leaving after the specials?! Another top pick to be #11 is John Simm, but I don't think we want to see the Master's face on the Doctor, do we? Third top pick is Robert Carlyle. Now, considering he killed Christopher Eccleston's character in the TV show Cracker, do we really want him on? Plus he was a Bond Villain. So, you tell me! | #16 Oct 02nd, 11:30am .
