Kiera stood, patiently awaiting her orders.

Kiera was approached by a shady looking Human male who was thinking she would be an easy source of money and entertainment (Rape).

He approached her from behind with his vibro-shiv, intent on catching her off guard and dragging her to a dark alley where he could enjoy her money and her body.....

Kiera sensed the man approaching her, and sensed his intentions. She waited patiently as he made a very poor attempt to sneak up on her, and waited for the right moment...

The instant he grabbed her, she reached up, and used the Force to break every bone in the hand holding the vibroshiv.

As the man screamed, she turned around, and the man fell to his knees in pain. Still tightly gripping his hand in her right hand, she held out her left, and the vibroshiv flew into it. Looking down at the man impassively, she raised an eyebrow. "Apologize," she said softly, but the look in her eyes said it was a demand.

The man's eyes were wide. "S-sorry! I'm sorry! I won't do it again, I'm so sorry!" he shouted, still in a lot of pain.

Kiera gave him a small smile, and in a flash slit his throat with the vibroshiv, causing him to gasp for air, and fall to the ground moments later, dead. She let go of his hand as she fell.

"Apology accepted," she said softly, and tossed the vibroshiv to the ground, not bothering to clean the blood from her hands as she walked away.

She knew she was being watched. The reason she hadn't been more discreet was so that, whoever was following her, would be intrigued and continue the chase. Her mission was one of recruitment... and the person following her was strong in the Force...

(This will be a nameless Eye who will probably die later on!)

The person approached and introduced himself. He was a Devaronian Male. His right eye flashed and Kiera's left did in response.

"Well, I am pleased to finally meet you. Sorry about that (he pointed at the dead body of the thief), but I didn't see any reason to intervene. I was sent here by our master to go over the details of the operations here...."

After he told Kiera all she was suppose to know he took a transport and left. He had even managed to arrange a penthouse suite for her to stay in while she was here. With a private landing pad for her ship attached to the side of the building right next to her suite!

Kiera looked around the penthouse, her eyes wide with wonder. It was very, very spacious... adequately decorated, though lacking in any kind of personal touches. She eyed the protocol droid approaching her.

"Greetings, Madam. I am C-7DO, and I am here to assist you. I am to tell you that, while you are here, you are to be known as Mirabel Winters. You are an investor in medical supplies, and have quite a bit of wealth. You have just arrived here from your home on Corellia, and are looking to expand your investments.

If you will follow me, Mistress Winters, I shall lead you to your private chamber, where you will find many outfits that would better suit your status," he said, and Kiera followed him to the room. "You have an appointment in three hours... if you require any assistance, please alert me. I am here to serve you," the droid said, and left the room to stand outside the door.

Kiera walked into the large room, smiling, and went to the closet. The outfits were lavish, though none were dresses... silk pantsuits, velvet business suits, all were beautiful, all were expensive... and all were surprisingly easy to move in. After taking a bath and putting on one of the silk pantsuits, she found she could even enter various fighting stances in the clothes with no problem... they were obviously tailored to match all of her needs, no matter what the situation. She also enjoyed the soft feeling of the cloth against her skin.

The protocol droid made some suggestions about how to further complete her appearance, and by the time of her appointment, a mahogany scarf made of a silky gauze was tied around her neck, a pleasing accent against the deep turquoise of the pantsuit, and her hair was pulled back into a loose bun in the back, with some of the hair in front being allowed to come down to frame her face. A bit of artfully applied makeup, and she looked more like 18 than 15. The mirror showed a young woman who had inherited a great amount of wealth and was in the business of knowing how to use it. Kiera knew that, as long as she remained confident and did not fidget, she would pull off the appearance nicely.

She was not the type to fidget.

She entered the sitting room where C-7DO had led the guest she had an appointment with, her stride that of a confident young investor.

(LOL! Bet, this will be a bit of a surprise to you!!!)

The nerdy human clerk had left not too long ago, fearing what this armored hulk of a being might be doing here!!!

Orsallis turned his head to look at Mirabel Winters as she arrived. He had some business with her concerning the purchasing of illegitimate merchandise. He stood up towering over her and he reach behind him and searched through his weapon belt and pulled out....

((Wait for my next post before you reply!))

...a datapad listing the parts and materials he needed. Those two Mashi Horansi back in the Sith Prison had damaged a lot of valuable equipment and he wanted to upgrade his own stock.

Orsallis handed it to Ms. Winters so that she could see what he wanted...

Kiera raised an eyebrow as she was handed the datapad. This being was intimidating, and silent, both qualities she admired. However, she could not let this being know that... she was supposed to be someone else. Instead, she studied the datapad. "Mr... Orsallis," she said calmly, reading the name from the datapad, "I will see that you are taken care of," she said, smiling coolly at him. "Prices for the items requested are non-negotiable... though you do not strike me as one who enjoys haggling," she said, handing the datapad to C-7DO, who took it to make arrangements. She didn't enjoy haggling, either, though for this mission, she would have pretended to. "Payment up front is preferred, though if it is not possible, other arrangements may be made. How do you wish to go about this?" she asked, getting straight to the point.

Orsallis held a bag containing VERY valuable gems and gently tossed one onto the desk in front of Ms. Winters. As such, this made tracking the funds a lot harder. A useful piece of knowledge that Orsallis had picked up from Darth Ravik.

Orsallis: "This will cover the costs. You will recieve the rest once I am satisfied with my purchases. And you are right, I do not enjoy haggling!"

When C-7DO returned, Kiera gestured to the bag of gems on the table, and the droid picked them up after handing her a datapad. She looked at it, and glanced at the droid, who had taken a look inside the bag of gems, and said nothing. She knew then that the gems were highly valuable. She then nodded. "It is a deal, then, Mr. Orsallis. The items you have requested will be loaded onto your ship. Feel free to inspect them at your leisure, or to supervise the droids loading them onto your ship, if that is your preference. Otherwise, food and beverages are available to you while you wait," she said, raising an eyebrow to see what he would do.

"My ship will be in Dock A739 and I want to see you there, in person, before I leave."

With that Orsallis left. On his way out he spotted a Spukamas walking leisurely around right infront of him. He kicked the cat hard right out a nearby window. He HATED small fuzzy animals!

Kiera watched the giant hulk of a man go, raising an eyebrow dispassionately as he kicked the spukama out the window. 'Note to self... get rid of pets, they annoy clients,' she told herself, and alerted another servant droid to the now broken window. She then walked over to C-7DO, and they finished the preparations and paperwork necessary before Kiera left to go Dock A739.

Before Kiera left C-7DO walked up and informed her:

"A thousand pardons my lady, but additional information has come in about your 'public' operations here. It seems that you will start investing in the transporting of small appliances in conjuction with your medical shipping. Shall I make a list for you my lady?"

"Yes, that will be nice," she said, raising an eyebrow. "Is there anything else?"

(Just so you know C-7DO has a female type of personality programming and voice unlike the famous C-3PO!)

"You also have three other appointments today which I have taken the liberty of posting on your schedule and it appears that you have a dinner invite from a Mr. Jason Halcyon at the five star restraunt named The Mantellian Flutterplume! Shall I tell him you accept or do you wish to decline, My Lady?"

Kiera raised an eyebrow. Was he a potential client? If so, it was never a good idea to turn down invitations from one. If not... then it would do to find out just who he was, and just how much he actually knew. "Tell him I accept, as long as it does not interfere with my other appointments," she said.

"I trust everything has met your requirements, Mr. Orsallis?" Kiera asked.
#20 Jan 21st, 8:12am

"It has."

Orsallis handed her the rest of her payment and walked towards his ship. He left with his cargo and supplies. He had heard of a new contract opportunity, but before then he was going to deposit a couple of bounties he had picked up on this planet and get the money for them!

Kiera took the payment, and went back into the penthouse, to prepare for her next appointment...

Kiera's appointments were just public ones concerning medical shipping. With her other appointments finished all that was her dinner invite from Mr. Jason Halcyon at The Mantellian Flutterplume. It was a business meeting conerning her expansion into small appliances and she needed to get ready and dress appropriately....
#23 Jan 22nd, 11:52am

C-7DO helped her pick out an outfit to wear. A gold silk pantsuit, with red embroidered patterns on it and long, flowing sleeves and legs that gave it more of a dress-like appearance, was coupled with a wide red silk sash around her waist and a gold hairpiece studded with crimson jewels that held most of her hair up, with some strands curled and left to hang down. A gold-tinted lipstick and eye-makeup brought it all together, with green highlights accenting her emerald green eyes. Once C-7DO had finished with her, a servant led her to the transport that would take her to The Mantellian Flutterplume, for her meeting with this Jason Halcyon.

Kiera felt him before she saw him... he was strong in the Force. There he sat, jet black hair, blue eyes, young-looking... Kiera hesitantly probed him, very discreetly before she was led to the table. He had no training... not even in the most basic of shields! Certain that her Master saw what she did, she approached the table. "Mr. Halcyon, I presume?" she asked, holding out a hand.

Jason Halcyon reached out and took Ms. Mirabel Winters' hand and lightly kissed it (So he's a bit of a flert).

Jason: "It is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Winters. Do you mind if I call you Mirabel?"

#29 Jan 22nd, 12:31pm
rimera
Kiera raised an eyebrow. C-7DO had briefed her on protocol for situations like this, and she could tell that this Jason Halcyon was being forward... but, if he was untrained, he would make an excellent recruit to the brotherhood. This in mind, she smiled slightly. "Not at all, as long as I can call you Jason," she said, her smile turning somewhat mischievous as she let the waiter seat her. "And as long as we can stick to business," she added, noting the spark of amusement in the other man's eye.

"Of course. I apologize if having us refer to one another by our first names bothers you, but I have never cared much for ettiquette. I prefer to know my 'associates' in a personal manner. I don't mean to sound so 'forward'."

Though he was interested in her. Afterall, she was a pretty young woman, but Jason had enough manners to stick to business despite his casual flerting behavior. He just hoped she wasn't taking his words the wrong way...

Kiera smiled warmly. "No apologies are necessary," she said, shrugging somewhat nervously. "To tell you the truth, I'm new to this business myself... don't get me wrong, I'm great with business, but until very recently, I've never actually gone out to meet the associates," she admitted to him, getting the feeling it would help to break the ice between them. She raised an eyebrow. "So, Jason, do you mind if we order before getting down to business? I've been in meetings all day and I'm famished," she said lightly, hoping her familiarity would ease any tension there was between them.
#32 Jan 22nd, 12:56pm

"Not at all."

He beckoned a nearby waiter over and told them he would have the Marinated Smoked Nerf with a vintage Corellian brandy. The waiter then turned to Ms. Winters to see what she wanted....

#33 Jan 22nd, 1:02pm
rimera
Kiera belatedly realized she should have studied the menu before coming here... her experience, while augmented by some of the Watcher's knowledge, did not include food choices at restaurants. However, another waiter was walking past with a plate of food and a cup of some steaming liquid, and the smells from it were simply amazing. "I'll have what they're having," she said, handing the menu to the waiter as he followed her eyes to the table the food had stopped at. The waiter nodded. "Ah, yes, Ruusian loin and prok salad, with caffa?" he asked. Kiera nodded, knowing such things were edible by humans as it had been a human woman who had ordered it. "Very well, someone will be along with your drinks shortly," he said, and walked away.

Kiera looked to Jason and smiled. "How long have you been on Ord Mantell?" she asked.

#34 Jan 22nd, 1:11pm
Jesterman
"About a year or so now. You?"
#35 Jan 22nd, 1:13pm

"About two days," she said, smiling. "To be honest, this is the first restaurant on Ord Mantell I've ever been to... it's quite nice," she said, nodding as the waiter placed their drinks before them and promised the food would be there soon. She gently raised the cup of brown liquid to her lips and took a small sip of the burning substance. It was bitter, but... oddly bracing. She took another tentative sip. "I hear it isn't a very safe place for a girl to go wandering alone, or I would have gone to explore the city by now," she said.
#36 Jan 22nd, 1:16pm
Jesterman
Yeah, there are some places like that here. Not everywhere of course. As a big tourist attraction the Corellian government keeps most of the streets pretty clean. That's why I always keep these with me..."

He parted his coat to reveal two holstered blasters and what looked like a LIGHTSABER(*)????

Kiera stopped mid-sip at the sight of the weapons. Lightsabers ... perhaps the man was trained after all, but her senses told her she was wrong. Either way, she had to keep up appearances... she raised an eyebrow. "I've seen one of those before... laser swords, aren't they? Force Wraiths use them, I believe... as well as the Jedi," she said, guaging the man's reaction to see if he would reveal his relationship to either group.
#38 Jan 22nd, 1:27pm
Jesterman
Jason bursted out laughing! When he regained his composure he looked at Mirabel and saw that she didn't seem to understand. So he told her, "This is a lightfoil! Not a real lightsaber. They are pretty popular in the Tapani Sector among the young nobles there. Where they dueled one another. I was a fan of their duels so I managed to get a lightfoil from a friend of mine there. Sorry, if this made you think I was a Jedi?"
#39 Jan 22nd, 1:33pm
rimera
Kiera smiled. There was still so much she needed to learn... "No, of course not," she said, and gave a small laugh. "You don't strike me as the fugitive from the Empire type," she said, grinning. She took another sip of caffa, which she was starting to like pretty well. "I've never had the pleasure of seeing one of those duels... what are they like?" she asked, her green eyes looking deep into his blue eyes as he replied.
#40 Jan 22nd, 1:38pm
Jesterman
"The young nobles who used them like to call themselves Saber rakes for some reason I'm not sure of. Anyway, among Saber rakes it's considered bad taste to actually kill an opponent unless the rivalry is a particularly serious one. Most duels are finished after the first loss of a limb or first cut in some less violent cases. Ironically, prosthetic limbs have been in great demand among certain cliques of noble youngsters!"

Jason almost laughed at the last part. Even funnier was that it was true.

Kiera laughed as well, and the two talked until dinner was served, and talked long after that, until the subject came back around to business. "So, Jason, what exactly is it that you propose?" she asked, smiling.

(be back tonight, Jester... gotta go to work...)

#42 Jan 22nd, 1:48pm
Jesterman
"Huh? Oh, right my business proposal. I had heard you were looking into expanding your business into transporting appliances. I myself deal in managing small appliances and sells. I was figuring to try my luck with the new 'field player' and see if you wanted to discuss, possibly, having our businesses work together on this?"

Jason's head was still a little dizzy from the drinks he had been having here and he was wondering if he was sober enough to discuss his business proposition? He mentally cursed himself for not watching how much he was drinking!

Kiera thought about this. She had already decided to make him a business partner the moment she realized he would be a good recruit. But, were she really a business woman, she would want to see something more substantial before making a decision. She smiled. "I'm intrigued. I'll want to see some numbers first, of course, but I admit, I have been looking to expand my business." She took out a datapad, her smile turning mischievous. "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours," she said playfully, sliding the datapad across the table to him. "Those are the figures of how much I'm capable of transporting right now and what my fees are. Both, of course, are subject to negotiation, but I like to be up front with my clients. Why don't you look those over, then get back to me with what exactly you have in mind? Maybe, tomorrow, at my place? We can haggle over dinner, and if everything goes well, we can celebrate with some Aldaraanian wine I've been lucky enough to get my hands on," she suggested, raising an eyebrow.

Kiera smiled to herself as the transport took her home. That had been rather... unique. She had to say, she had enjoyed the experience quite well. She found herself looking forward to her future "date" with Jason. She had yet to learn about things like love and romance... she only knew that, right now, she immensely enjoyed her job.

Jason Halcyon arrived the next day at Kiera's penthouse at the scheduled time. He was dressed in the latest Corellian business attire.

C-7D0 greeted him and Jason asked C-7D0 if she would inform her master that he had arrived and would be waiting in her meeting room.

Kiera walked into the meeting room, wearing a black silk pantsuit, with flowing arms and legs, and a wide white silk sash around it. Her hair was loose, falling around her face and to her shoulders. She wore only the minimum of makeup, and in her hand, she held... a lightfoil.

She smiled at his odd look. "I was so interested in your own that I had procured one," she said, holding up the lightfoil. There was a twinkle in her eye. "After we crunch some numbers, maybe we can work the kinks out later in a friendly spar? I've learned a few basic forms... not much, of course, just enough to stay in shape, and maybe make strangers in dark alleys think twice about messing with me," she said, smiling coyly. Of course, he had no idea how true that was... "That is, if you're interested," she said, and sat down across from him.

C7-D0 laid a datapad down on the table, and Kiera picked it up.

#48 Jan 26th, 9:22pm
Jesterman
She was pretty. However, Jason immediately became suspicious at the fact that Mirabel here had gotten a lightfoil so easily. The fact was that the Empire both Palpatine's and Xarkun's had outlawed them. So few were ever sold. Not to mention, that knowledge of their duels was well hidden as Imperials were ofter known to mistaken a lightfoil for a lightsaber and the Saber Rakes who were caught usually ended up getting arrested. He didn't want to even want to think on how much someone could learn in barely a day what takes months worth, at the minimum, of training!!!!

True, he didn't know all of her connections and there was a very slim possibility that she could have gotten lucky and manage to procure one. But, the odds of that were still very slim!

He kept up the appearance of being relaxed, but he decided to stay cautious. As for the sparring match.... fortunately he knew of a way they could spar without hurting one another.

Jason: "I have a special room at my place that we can spar in without hurting one another. I'll accept, but only if we use that room for our sparring match. In the meantime, shall we eat first or discuss our business arrangement?"

"We'll eat first," she said, inwardly smiling. It had worked... he was beginning to suspect something. He had nothing to go on, of course, and had seen nothing that would come close to proof of what she was, but he suspected.... something. And from his reactions and what happened next, she would see what he felt about what he suspected, if he was repelled by the idea... or intrigued by it. Time would tell, and they seated themselves on the balcony overlooking the city horizon, as C-7D0 brought them food. She sipped her caffa as she watched him intently. "I love the view out here," she said. "It makes you feel like you're on top of the world..."
