Topic: Crossovers? What's you're favorite?
Hey! What's your favorite crossover with Buffy?
#1 Dec 27th 2005, 9:42pm
seriously strange though
unfortunately i have to say harry potter, mostly cause i haven't bothered reading/writing anything else, although there is one that i've written that crosses over with firefly, but that was a silly silly fic.

I'd also say Harry Potter, and I can really recommend this one Harry Potter and the Key of Dagon

BTW, have you ever abused a forum post? Honestly FF Admins, you should rename that link to "Report Post" or something.

Try out this crossover story: 'When Hellmouths Collide' by Kimberley Rector and Martha Wilson. I'm not into Hercules: The Legendary Series, but for some reason I gave this a try and I actually really like it! Giles gets a night of passion with Xena! It's here:

About Charmed:

I have to wonder if 'Charmed' purposelessly made their vampires totally different in order to seperate themselves from the Buffy series. I think fan fiction wanted to combine those two since the very beginning.

...Stranger:

They had a single episode with a large breasted woman dressed like Vampirella who was "the queen of the vampires". Those vamps could all turn into bats and they bit Paige, turning her into a vampire temporarily. Since she hadn't killed anyone yet, the Charmed Ones were able to kill this 'queen' which then caused all of her subordinates to blow up/be vanquished. Paige then returned to normal. It was sort of implied (or at least that's the way I understood it) that with the queen's vanquishing, all vampires on the mortal plain were also vanquished. And thereby dashing any hopes of a Charmed/Buffy/Angel crossover-- except in fanfiction where we can ignore, or explain away, such discrepancies :-)

I like Buffy xo with Highlander, Roswell, Smallville, SG1. It always is amazing to me the combinations of writings that writers come up with that are interesting and haven't been seen often. I do like Buffy with the Scoobies, but reading about her with Methos or Duncan, well it was good!

I'd have to say Charmed, and to Rob, I don't think the Charmed writers would actualy do that, I admitt there are some similarities, and that most who like one will like the other, but Charmed and Buffy are two very different series at heart.

Reply to Diana/Orb...

That was actually said a little bit tongue-in-cheek. I'm sure that the Buffy and Charmed creative staffs were way too busy paying attention to where they wanted to take their own characters to worry about what the other show was doing. I do remember however when both series were running in the early days that there was this big Buffy vs. Charmed mentality on the net. I actually enjoy both series...although I haven't caught Charmed in quite a while as I don't watch much tv these days (and network executives all over the country shudder!). It is a challenge to reconcile the differences between the two series when you want to do any sort of crossover however. Not just the 'facts' of the series worlds, but also the two shows are entirely different in tone as well. I'm going to try to work the Charmed Ones into my Spanderverse series when I reach my alternate take on 'Chosen', but I'll have to look at the online scripts for both shows during that period to see if I can make it work. I'm hoping to stretch the battle with the First out so I can include White Lighters, Dark Lighters, and those demon-guys that are always throwing fireballs around.

And I've totally gotten off track... my original point was that it was a jokey comment re: the fabricated rivalry between Buffy and Charmed fans in the early days of the shows.

BtVS/Firefly (Serenity). Although to be honest, FF has more character crosses with Angel than BtVS. Something I haven't seen, but would like to: as an aftershock of closing the Hellmouth, a portal opens between Buffy's 'verse and Serenity's at the bottom of the crater, pulling the helpless ship back to an Earth-That-Never-Was. (Andrew: "That's not a dragon, that's a spaceship!")

I've posted a Buffy/Beverly Hills 90210 Crossover, titled "S P Q R 90210". It's a comic fantasy, in which High School Girls Brenda and Kelly, are feuding over Dylan, when Anyanka the Vengeance Demon, helps them work things out. It's posted in the Beverly Hills 90210 section.

To be honest I don't really read crossovers much, they're not really my cup of tea. However I found a really good crossover with Bones that I loved quite a logical storyline to. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3473652/1/ ^_^

I have written many Buffy crossover stories; mostly connected with "Angel".

I have an "Angel" "Sherlock Holmes" crossover, titled "The Case of the Dreadful Poet" in which the Famous Detective and Dr. Watson investigate a murder, that takes place at the time when Spike first becomes a vampire.

I have two crossovers with Beverly Hills 90210:

1. "Bad Girls Do Get Eaten", in which "Bad Girl" Valerie is killed by Spike the Vampire. She becomes a vampire herself, and is then suspected in the vampire killing of Kelly Taylor.

2. "Seven Hills 90210", in which High School girls Brenda and Kelly are feuding over Dylan, when Anyanka the Vengeance Demon, helps them deal with it.

There is a Buffy/Terminator story titled "Night of the Terminators", in which two Terminators come from the future, looking for Dawn Summers.

I also have other crossovers, but they deal with Non-Buffy Series, and I don't know if I should identify them in this forum.

However you are all welcome to go to my profile, and read any stories you wish.

There's one crossover I've always wanted to see, that never comes up. And that's with the old show Dark Shadows. I even tried to do one awhile back, but never finnished it. If you don't know Shadows was a show in the 60's about a town poulated with vampires, werewolves, witches, ect. So it already fits with the Buffy mythology. (in fact it probably infuanced Buffy at least a little) So it seems a natural crossover to me. But it never happens.

I've actually written a Buffy/Manchild crossover which was a ton of fun. James was delightful to play with and it was the first time I'd written a lil love scene (which is why you won't see it here, I guess). the only thing I have to confess is that I've not actually been afforded the luxury of watching Manchild. I've seen 1 (count 'em, ONE) "clip" online, which I can't find again, and I've read all the episode transcripts. So... I have a feel of vocab, attitude, and a bit of tone/inflection, but I mostly had to make it up as I went along. *sigh* such fun... Hmm, maybe I'll set up an adultff.net profile so I can post it.

To me, the most logical crossover would be Buffy and Xena. They both kick serious butt, both are much stronger than the average person. They both have killer moves (pun intended) and both are hotties! Also, they both have good looking sidekicks.

I always wondered which one would win in a fight. I was thinking maybe Buffy in hand to hand, and Xena using weapons.

I've written a lot of B&X crossovers. And I am always looking for good B&X fanfict.

I love to read the Heroes, Charmed, Harry Potter and to some extent Lord of the Rings crossovers.. but I generally like to write the more human crossovers.. Like CSI, CSI: Miami, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill.. things like that..

This may not go well with some but I absolutely despise all forms of Stargate... But I never liked Star Trek either.. my kid brother says I just dislike al space things.. (except for Star Wars) and I've never seen Serenity/Firefly.. I believe they aired it here once but after a few episodes it just got cut off the air...
