(Once again i figured *Wow I do that a lot* that every carry must get hungry right? So here is my other topic, the cafeteria.)

There were many tables that were a spotless black color. There were two double doors that led to lines filled with food.

Tom stuck his head around the door. The cafeteria hadn't been hard to find, but He was still surprised at the range of food laid out before him, and at how empty the place was.

"Wow"

He helped himself to a plateful before sitting down and tucking in.

Finishing off, he got up, placed his tray back and heading out into the hallways

Elyon slinked into the cafeteria, a hand to her stomach. It was growling profusely.

"Damn," she muttered. She glanced up at the layout of food. "Double damn."

Elyon sat down at one of the tables, got a plate, and helped herself to some food. She hadn't eaten normal food in two months at the least.

Django burst into the cafeteria, looking as deranged as possible. "I smell food!!! FOOOOD!!!." He dove at the food and carried 6 plates of it away with him.

Seraph was sitting by himself drinking out of his thermos "A lot of food here"

TObi walked in and laed Drago on a table "that should be good enough" tobi sighed he looked at the floor and walked out of the room as drago stirred

Shizuru slowly walked in with a bento on her hand.

".......... " She was about to open, but before that, she ordered some green tea.

Echo walked in, carrying her tray, shaking slightly. Gulping, she walked over to line and started ordering. One grilled cheese sandwich, one small salad, one bottle of cold sweet tea.

Smiling nervously she looked around for a place to sit. She found an empty table, sliding her tray down and sitting, taking a breath before picking at her food.

(I'm going to reveal little by little of my character's history, he won't let it slip, but I'll give you, and maybe your character's enough of an idea of his life. )

Tacitus looked around the room and saw the food, it looked delicious, although his cynicism told him that some jerk might have done something disgusting in it, he brushed it off. He was happy to be going to such a school as he needed to catch up on his education, due to travelling around the world, he looked at the food and he quickly ordered a French onion soup, a tough hunk of bread, a small piece of fish, a caesar salad and an old fashioned rootbeer. He saw a (winged) girl whom was alone, he looked around and saw that no one was probably going to sit with her. He then mulled over what to do, "Should I sit with her? Most people need someone to talk to, so maybe I should. She does look lonely, and she seems like a good person. So I guess I should." He walked over, placed his tray across from her, and he then asked, "May I sit here?" as he took off the helmet from his NBC Suit/Power Armour.

[sounds fine XD Echo's pretty much straight forward so I'll let you take care of all the dramatic foreshadowing :)]

Echo looked up from her salad, staring for a moment at this strange newcomer.

"Oh, ok. Sure," She said, smiling warmly at him "I'm Echo."

[My character is interested with making friends, but he wants real friends and not legions of fair-weather friends. And a little hint, by mistrusting of non-humans (only creatures that aren't remotely human) means that he mistrusts them a little more than everyone else, whom he mistrusts. He doesn't mistrust everyone alot, and you can easily gain his trust if you show that you are trustworthy, he is just a little suspicious of people's motives.]

Tacitus replied, "Well, I keep my name private for some good reasons which I'll explain later, but you can know me by my alias Tacitus" He smiled back at her. Even though he was very cynical about the world and life in general, he was a very friendly and good natured person, who liked to have good people and even half-decent people as friends, he accepted people with questionable ethics on a case-to-case basis.

[alright. ^^ maybe they'll get to be good friends...maybe not...we'll just have to see what goes down]

"Oh, well, nice to meet you, Tacitus," Though she was more than a little confused (and burning up with curiosity) She took it in stride "So, what brings you to this school? Are you new, too?"

Tacitus replied, "Yes, I need to finish my education so that I can go to university and get a higher education, and so that I can better help the human race....because they can't help themselves. And it is nice to meet you too"

"Well, education is good..." Echo agreed "But I can't believe you have so little hope in us humans; I'm sure we'll all manage to survive somehow."

(You are supposed to be confused, he is talking about the nature of reality, life, and HP Lovecraft's cthulhu mythos, along with some deeper philsophical and religious ideas. And if your character can pick it out, he is implying that his meaning for life is to help humanity from those Eldritch beings.)

He plain said, "I don't lack hope, I have a little, that humans can overcome their shortcommings and better themselves, which I am doing, I am a human albiet slightly modified and with some strange metaphysical powers. I am a humanist in belief, a secular one at that, but humanity is helpless due to beings, called gods by the nonunderstanding people, that could wipe us out with a wave of the hand...." He sighed somewhat, and continued, "I don't even know if we are from the same reality, in all possibilties we aren't, but who knows, maybe we are from the same one- a self contradictory one, where alot of fiction and most perhaps all relgions are true too, and yet science is also true, so we get a reality where all is true and isn't, I can guess you might be an angel or partly one, that would imply the existance of a Judeo-Cristian god, but how do you square that with vampires, werewolves.... and Eldritch beings." He stopped for a second, "I'm getting off on a tangaent and I am probably saying some pretty confusing things. But life is confusing, and there is no known meaning for it, maybe it is not the meaning that life inherently has which is important, but it is the meaning we put into life......."

She frowned, about to protest Vampires, werewolves...something-something-something's...She wasn't lying to herself; ninety percent of that had gone right over her head. Her back tingled a bit How did he know? I guess if there's such a thing as me...whatever I am, then there could be all that stuff.

"Wow. That was...obviously I'm not going to lie--that was way too much information for one sitting. I only caught, like, half and only understood a fourth. Sorry."

(He is admiting to guessing about her race.)

He simply smiled and replied, "You don't have to be, even though I understand much about the universe, there is much I don't know, can't know, and never will understand. And much of what I told you, was pure conjecture, the stuff towards the start was more concrete fact...But if I guessed right about you, it is not because I knew something, it is because I have a limited predictive ability, not ESP, but rather a metaphysical ability to predict events like a super-computer would, it is only very sparsely correct due to the reasons within the Chaos theory."

"Oh, right, that explains it, then. I get it."

She laughed slightly and took a bite of her sandwich.

(I just came up with this when you made your last post, if you want you can take this ball and run with it.)

He was about to eat his soup, when he heard her laugh he dropped his spoon and blerted out, "You have such a nice laugh it suits you." Suddenly he realized what he said, and started to blush.

[:) sure, why not?]

Shocked, Echo chocked on the bit of food in her mouth. She swallowed hard and took a long drink, finally stopping.

"Oh, thanks..." She looked down as she felt her own face start to color "No one's ever told me that before. I never really...thanks, though."

[maaan, I'm lame. sorry all my posts are so dang short]

(I can write long posts, but when I can't think of much I write shorter ones. I think I've actually wrote a long paragraph worth of stuff.)

He said slightly embarrased, "Your, welcome. And I've never really have had something slip out like that." He put his hands together and said," We better eat our food. We can talk later." At this time, he picked his spoon and started to eat.

Echo smiled, slightly amused, and started eating her sandwich again.

[that you have. I'll write something long eventually, I just don't really have any ideas so for now it's short and sweet :)]

He took his soup at a fast pace, but slowly enough to enjoy it, as he ate it he worked on his tough hunk of bread, washing it down now and agian with his drink. He started on his fish, and salad and worked quickly to finish them.

Echo was eating much slower; enjoying everything throughly before moving on to the next food. She was looking around, taking the minimal sights of the cafeteria.

She finally finished, setting aside her half eaten salad and the rest of her garbage with a small, satisfied sigh.

Tacitus finished his food, and got up, he then said to Echo, "I guess I'll see you later, I have some reading to catch up on."

Echo nodded and smiled at him. "Ok, sounds good. Thanks for that very...interesting lunch."

(I'm trying to keep him friendly and the like, but still cynical)

He waved goodbye and said, "Maybe we can meet later." And in response to the interesting lunch comment he responded, "Well, my life has been very interesting so far....." When he said, "interesting" he put in a hint of terrifying things, wonderful things, and enlightening things, but he mostly hinted terrifying cyclopean eldritch things that hail from the stars and beyond. These hints were not very strong but were present, and would make anyone wonder what terrible truths and secrets he knows.

Ronnie was overwhelmed with odd scents, "Witch item is Pizza?"

Elyon laid her head down peacefully on a table and dozed dreamily.

Alia walked into the cafeteria and smiled at Ronnie, "So, how do you like the cafeteria, different from the ones at home?"

"Cafeteria...?" Ronnie sniffed, "Soo, much smell. Its not burning..." Ronnie looked at Alia, "Where... pizza?"

"Your cafeteria's are on fire, god I grew up in 110 degree weather and thats a little to hot for even me. The pizzas are over here, so follow me, " she said grabbing a tray and heading over to the food.

"Its center of earth, its supposed to be on fire." Ronnie looked at the food and began to crave something that wasnt a carcas of the immagination. She looked at an apple, "You freely eat those?"

"Ya, they're good," she said adding it onto her tray that now held that, a wrap and Dasani. "They're good and good for you, plus they smell good, come on smell it," she said holding the apple uunder Ronnie's nose.

Ronnie smelled the sweet scent of the apple. "Is also a sign of temptest. Its forbiden."

"To you yes, to me, well I'm a descendant of Eve, and its her sign. so I think I'm okay. But seriously have one, they're good, or a watermelon. Also, why do you speak like you do?"

"From hell, we dont speak... english. What your hearing is what i want you to hear. Easy on me. Plus... i not know most grammar."

"It's okay, I'm an ace in English, though I don't always seem like it. Anyways, you'll get better the more you talk with people. Come on let's pay for this and go sit somewhere."

"What 'pay'? You dont get to eat uless earn it?" Ronnie was confused, she never had to do such things and it was weird.

"No, you have to give them money, its just how it works because then they have money to by things they need too. If you don't have any I'll pay for you."

"Money...?... euros? thats all i know. Do all humans 'pay' or is it a sign of lessers?" Ronnie came to earth at a horrible time, last time she checked there was dinosaurs. "I, uh, have this." she reached in her pocket and held up a $50 bill to Alia, "I hope thats enough, i have more..."

"No, thats more then enough, it's only a school lunch," she gave the lunch lady, who held a strange resemblance to a bulldog, Ronnie's money and Alia turned back and gave Ronnie the change, "Here. And everyone has to pay, unless your in the mob or mofia, then you just knock some heads in and take it, but they always pay in the end, just ask my uncles."
