avatarjk137Topic: Complaint Thread If you have a problem with the way I'm setting up the tournament, it can be addressed here. I might be very flexible on the situation, even open to suggestions. Also, once the tournament has started, come here if you think judging was unfair. If your problem is with the rules I've set up, better to voice it sooner rather than later, while I will have more time to deal withit. |
jjp55wow, no complaints. don't you feel special :D |
avatarjk137I rather do. XD Are you complaining about the lack of complaints? |
GAMBIT508yes! The lack of complaints is a total outrage! |
avatarjk137I see. Luckily, this problem seems to be solving itself. The food here is terrible! The menu's far too small! They're always out of diet cola! |
Skipper1313I would like to complain about people who complain. It's high time we did something about them. |
avatarjk137You're right. Skipper, for the crime of complaining, I sentence you to a keelhauling. Following that, you'll be drawn and eighted. |
Skipper1313Got it. Same applies for everyone else out there; don't complain! (Unless you have a decent reason to, in which case go right ahead). |
MelreincarnaI have something minor to complain about. My missing the submissions thread because it was pinned. It took me ten minutes to find it. |
avatarjk137Um... so... should I not pin things? I do it so they'll be easier for forum newcomers to find... if they're overlooked, maybe they aren't serving their purpose. |
Kohaku KawaI think that pinning threads does work. It makes it much easier to find them if they stay in the same place all the time. I would like to complain about this competition taking over my life. During the judging periods I check the judgement thread 5+ times a day at least! It's all I can thinkabout! |
avatarjk137Hmm... you, like most people, suffer an addictive personality (and a bit of an obsessive one, possibly). I prescribe an absence of drugs, because you will get hooked. On the positive side, you've got an advantage over non-addictive people like me in some things; for example, I tend to have trouble finishing video games (I ran out of steam on Twilight Princess and finished the last two dungeons three months later). You also have an easier time than us non-addictives at writing conclusions to fanfiction, and at building good habits. Alright, sorry I couldn't address your complaint with a method other than 'fortune cookie'. |
Kohaku KawaDon't apologize. The fortune cookie was very entertaining. |
MelreincarnaUm... so... should I not pin things? I do it so they'll be easier for forum newcomers to find... if they're overlooked, maybe they aren't serving their purpose. No. It's fine. I am just an idiot sometimes. |
GAMBIT508I have a slight complaint, when Judges don't give reasons for their choices, it helps people out more to see WHAT they did wrong, (for example avatar mentioned my writing was too short so I'm trying to go longer this round) |
Kohaku KawaReasons are definitely helpful. Most judges are happy to tell you why they voted however they did if you pm them. |

MelreincarnaI have a slight complaint, when Judges don't give reasons for their choices, it helps people out more to see WHAT they did wrong, (for example avatar mentioned my writing was too short so I'm trying to go longer this round) I would love to address your complaint. I feel odd putting a rationale on the thread because then I feel I am insulting someone in public so to speak. If you would an explanation for a decision I have made, or concrit by PM I am happy to provide both. |
