Xan'del, the capital of the Harbringer empire.A massive magical midevil utopia, held high in the sky by powerful magics.The Harbriners, or cat people, live here in prosperity, untouched by the great war between the Fell and the Harbringers.Here is where most of the populace lives there daily lives.In the citeis mid levels lice evryday citizens, cintent with there lives and doing the basic jobs xan'del needs to survive like magicly growing crops or making teleportation magic to get people to the city surface.In teh lower lvels work the great schoalars of magic who research various new spells to help eceryday life as well as the war effort.This part of the city also holds the great wind crystal, which is enchanted to make the sprawlig metropilis float.In the upper levels are the noblemen who oversee Xan'del and the Harbringer race as a whole.These noblemen toghether each control small peices of Xan'del, giving them rights to govern there part of xan'del as well as a vote in the goverments council.This also holds the famous Harbringer military academy, where young soldeirs learn to become powerful warriors and battle-mages.

Rose wlaked along the busy streets witha smile on her face.She had just aced another academy test and was looking for a good place to eat now that she was off campus.

Aie was sitting by one of the many fountains in the capital. She never liked fighting, really; only, duty held her bound. She preferred the quiet, serene atmosphere here. Alas, for that very peace was an illusion; the Harbinger were under constant threat by the Fell.

So... she had to fight, no matter what - if only to protect the peace she loved.

Rose walked by, seeing the officer and saluted her quickly thinking. 'Last time I didn't salute someone , even on the street, I had to run around the military academy 10 times.'

Aie saw a female Harbinger salute her. Must be a new soldier, by the anxious looks she gave her. Aie felt a strong surge of pity; see what the war had been doing? Transforming peaceful citizens to... nevermind.

"At ease."

"Aie Lightbringer." She almost smiled upon hearing her own surname. She found it rather odd, more like a title than a proper name like Quickclaw or Wildereye. But then, she was grave as a rule, so...

Aie's blue eyes narrowed. She sensed danger. She quickly left the fountain went after Rose.

Meanwhile, Erpheon, newly risen from the armories, followed her.

Aie and Erpheon returned to the capital together.

"You seem to be getting weak of will," Erpheon reprimanded Aie. "We are at war. We kill."

"Not like this," Aie sighed. "Not like this. Do you even know how the war began, Erpheon?"

"No," Erpheon answered at length. "I do not. But all that matters is that they desire to kill us if they had the chance."

"And us, them. This war is pointless."

"Maybe," Erpheon shrugged. "Yet it must be fought."

Aie was silent for a moment as she and Erpheon headed to the fountain Aie was sitting earlier. Oh, that reminded her.

"...Rose. Drake. Where are they?" Aie inquired. Her Harbinger intuition told her that something was not quite right.

In the lower levels of Xan'del strange noises could be heard among the scholars.

-"NO!!" A younger harbringer yelled. "This war is NOT a lost cause.

Random scholars looked at him as if he were crazy.

-"Well you figure out a way to defeat them." A voice out of many said.

-"I would, but everytime I do all of you tell me to mind my place." He said with a snarl on his face.

-"Do svidaniya!" He shouted as he left.

"Perhaps... perhaps we should not have left, Erpheon," Aie said, her voice revealing fear for the other Harbingers. "I feel we are needed there."

"Hmph. Your mind changes like the evening breeze, Aie," Erpheon answered coolly. "Down we go, then."

With that Aie and Erpheon returned to the teleportation stations to go back to the crossroads.

Aie reappeared right in front of the Harbinger Council.

"Lords and ladies!" she addressed them all in a clear, even voice. "I come to announce that I had made a temporary truce with the Fell."

Aie continued. "I heard an evil voice in a tunnel, my lords and ladies. In fact," she added, pushing Rose into view, "this young one here can testify to my words. So it is my belief that we should cease hostilities with the Fell for now."

The young harbringer who had yelled ar the scholars earlies was ready to leave Xan'del he didn't plan on returning.

Xan'del had always been to stifling for him anyways.

"Thank you, Rose," Aie soothingly told the younger Harbinger. Turning once more to the Council, she continued, "So you have heard, my lords and ladies. Now, will you all say aye to the truce? What say you?"

Aie waited for a reply... but the Council answered merely with, "We'll give thought to this, rest assured."

It was far from reassuring. However, at that same moment Erpheon arrived. "My friend," he began, laying an armored hand at Aie's shoulder.

"Erpheon. You got back safely."

"I'm more surprised that you did. Come now, you must be tired. I'll lead you to your quarters."

Aie returned to the Harbinger capital just after the young ones encountered Verus and Erpheon in the dark jungle. She was about to address the elders again when...

"What is that light yonder?" she asked herself as a 'new star' shone from afar.

...Wait...

It was a light heading towards the city...

...A Light of Doom...

Nick and the others drove into teh harbringer capital, stunning many guards that a group of Fell got in here. "Alright, now what?"

Nick grimaced at her. "Don't even think about that. Do you have any idea how many harbirngers have treid to kill me?" He asked her as he to the edge of the city. "That is SOOOO not good." He exclaimed a she saw Colsia Mar's cannon charging up.

"Guard are coming." Kysuke said as a group of 20 guards came forward.

Nick turned on his heel, facing the guards and gulped. "Wait, where here to help! The capital is in trouble!"

"Kill the traitors." The guards yelled.

"This is why I became a monk!? Forget it! I denounce my faith. Fight them now!" Kysuke said as he took out his staff and turned it into a spear.

Nick gulped again and took out his sword, unsheathing the ginat nodaichi. Suprisingly, he was able to jump up into the air and spin the sword, creating a cyclone like shockwave over the heads of the gaurds.

Hector pegged a few of the gaurds in the shoulder and Steveh' just smacked the one's that got to close.

"Becareful what you wish for," Ambur muttered as she sends a wave of water towards the gaurds.

"I didn't wish for anything!" Steveh' spoke up chearfully, bonking a few more random gaurds on the head.

"Smart choice, All I wanted was an adventure," Ambur grunted as she fought off gaurds that had gotten close.

Kysuke sighed as he stabbed on guard in the chest with the spear and then notcied something. "Something is wrong. Very wrong." Kysuke said as he looked at Nick.

Nick landed and turned to Kysuke, a bit confused. "Whats wrong, what did I do?" he asked him and was barely able to dodge a guard's sword.

Hector shot the farthest gaurd from him in the head. "Okay this is turning into target pratice."

"Be careful!" Kysuke said as he threw the spear at the man behind Nick. "Keep your eyes open."

Nick grimaced for a second, not understanding what was wrong and shook his head, pericing one of them trough the back. Suddenly a dark portal opened up behind Nick and a hand grabed his throat, trying to choke him. A minotuar like demon with back skin came through the portal, grining from ear to ear.

Hector growled and shot the minotuar in the head with 3 flaming arrows.

Steveh' just wacked it on the head with his bo staff.

Kysuke ran and grabbed Steveh' as the minatour went to attack him. He dodged the blow and managed to hold on to Steveh'.

"Watch yourself. Making silly moves won't do any good." Kysuke said softly as he called for his spear.

The minotaur lifted Nick in front of the arrows, makeing them peirce his chest. The demon through him up in the air and hit him at Hector with the blunt side of his axe like he was a baseball.

Hector tried to cushion Nick when he cault him. Falling over and waved his hands over the arrows and they turned to air, dissapering completely.

Steveh' smiled up at Kysuke. "Thanks mate."

Kysuke grabbed his spear.

"Permission to make one move? It's the only move I know that can help us." Kysuke looked at Hector and Hector shaking his head.

(Since he'll be leaving soon... Can I use Absolution?)

Nick got up, clucthing his bleeding chest and muttering a. "Thank you. To Hector and shot a wave of kinetic energey at the demon. It smirked and swated the blast at Kysuke and suprisingly threw a fireball at Steveh'.

"Damn!" Kysuke jumped out of the way of the blast but couldn't allow Steveh' to get hit. He jumped into the pat of the fire ball and took the brunt of the attack.
