Quickly Alex lead Darein and Kain through giant isslusionary doors to find a small meeting room with a square table, a large throne at each side of it. At all but the western seat was occupeid by a archmage. "A greater demon is on the loose!" Kain cried out suddenly.

"Be silent! What is the meaning of this outburst!?" One of the Archmages yelled out.

Darien looked at Alex and raised a brow in fear.

Alex walked up towards the other three archmages and repleid. "The boy over here...Kain...brought a greater demon here and released it's bracer. Now, thanks to his stupidity we have a powerful evil sprit running around here." he glared at Kain, making the boy back away slowly. He probably would have bolted towards the door had a archmage called Ptomely bound him to the spot he was standing on.

"How was this travesty committed? How was this demon brought here without notice? And why was it's bracer's released!?" The same Archmage, who revealed himself as Belias, roared once more.

Kain trie dot run away again but couldn't. "I...I kind of sneaked it through the cargo hold. I didn't know what it was, really!? I released the bracer becuase I wanted to research that too." Alex clenched his fist and said. "Im taking into consideration that this might have not been a accident." kain began to cry when Alex accused him of being a traitor. Alex continued on. "Even if it really happene dthe way he said it did...not informing us of this is a inexcusable act of treason."

"The fact that he brought it here at all with out conference is treasonous! This matter is a serious offense and will most likely be a deathly one for all! We must find the spirit of the beast and slay it! I say the boy comes along and be take over by the spirit and slain for his idiocy!" Belias roared again.

"That's a bit harsh!" Darien spoke out.

Kain wouldn't force back the tears his eyes. Alex looked around the room and said. "He's right, lets not kill the boy. He had no idea what it was, I beleive him." He sighed and said. "But I beleive the demon itself is a more pressing matter then how it released."

Alex held Darein close and said. "Don't worry baby, everythings going to be fine." He then turned to belias and said. "Well, in my expereinc ethe best ways to deal with the soul of a demon is to-" Suddenly he was cuaght off as his eyes glowed red, the sign of possesion.

Darien paused for a moment as Alex went silent. He looked up at the older archmage and his eyes opened wide when he saw the red coloring. "Alex?" He asked shaking a bit in fear.

"He has been possessed!" Belias said in shock.

The demon smirked and used Alex's body to throw Darein off of him. Suddenly a threw a blast of hellfire at the boy but Promely quickly doused it with a blast of water. Alex glared at the other archmages and quickly teleported to a new place in the citadel.

Darien looked on shaking as he looked at the other archmages. "Why is this happening!?" He stood up and grabbed Kain by his shirt. "This is your fault!" He said as he ran off.

Kain ran away as well, not sure what to do. "Wait, i'll help you get him unpossessed." He yelled, mainly becuase he felt so guilty about the whole thing.

Ptomely look at the other two Archmages with a grimace. "It seems Alex has been the one to be possessed.There's is no other way we can deal with the situation. We must slay the runemaster."

Ptomely nodded and turned to Bane. "And what do you say on the situation. "Belay, the oldest and wisest member of the council stroked his white beard. "I see this is a very dire situation...what better way to test the young Guardians abiliteis. We wait...we give them one week...then, if he fails to find a way to release the spirit Alex must be killed."

Kain backed away, extremely afraid of Darein. "I...I don't know, but Alex said theres a way to deal with demon spirits, right? Maybe we could check Alex's research."

"Kain... listen... Alex means alot to me. I can't lose him. I... I refuse to lose him. I won't let him die. So find a way to get us there fast. And do it now. We don't have time." Darien said plainly.

Ptomely aggreed with Belias and said. "Yes, that does pose a problem." Bane looked Belias in the eyes and told him. "Well well Belias, it seems your almost happy to kill a fellow archmage. Even if he does gain power he won't be able to defeat all three of us. The only thing we should worry about...is if The Order gets involved."

Kain nodded and said to Alex. "The quickest way is by Airship, it'll take about a day. But don't worry, Alex can't teleport off teh island due to the runres on teh Arcanum Island, only within it."

"Kill? I plan to wipe his existence from all the books and records. And what about the Order? Useless bunch all of them. Even if they wanted to make a move, that child of a leader would only hinder us with his obsessive democracy." Belias said coldly.

Ptomely spoke up in the council. "Yes, Alex has been a nuisence ever sicne you saved him in that cave, Belias. He always been a free-lancer and has only cuased trouble, despite his magical ability."

Bane shook his head and said. "Alex has always had the guilds best intrests at heart, no matter what he has done. As for the Orders involvement, yes you may be right, but stillwe must be casutious. We cannot let them find out abotu this incident."

Ptomely then chirped in. "Yes, but what about Midnight?"

Kain nodded and lead him acrooss the castle to a hanger bay, filled with Galleon class ships attached to blimps. "Um...if we want to get one without signing a form and waiting for a two-week period, we may have still one."

Bane nodded his head and said to Belias. "I will hold you too your word...now, i beleive I must take my leave. Meeting adjorned." Bane slowly got up and walked straight out the door, not paying attention to Ptomely or Belias.

"You know," Ptomely muttered through gritted teeth. "I begining to think Bane may be becoming a nuisence as well." Ptomely stood up and walke dout the door with haste.

Kain nodded and began to sneak over to a airship. Suddenly one of teh guards saw him and yelled. "Hey kid, you shouldn't be in here." Kain gulped and yelled. "RUN!" As he ran towards a airship followed by numerous guards.

"Crap! Not now!" Darien took the key of time and activated it's abilities as several runes appeared and began circling around him. He slammed his hand down and the runes smashed on top of several guards.

Kain whathced as various guards where crushed by the runes. One guard treid to stab him with a pear from behind but Kain turned around and with a swift movement of his hand, he stopped the man in his tracks with magic. A few guards loaded heavy crossbows with metal bolts and began to rain arrows down on Darein.

"Oh shit!" Darien looked at the arrows as he took to his knees in defense. As he did, the runes closed in above him and began to make a dome of protections around him.

"Kain! You okay!?" He yelled.

Kain yeled back. "Yeah, im fine. Don't worry about me." Suddenly Kain used a modifeid levitation spell and cuased Darein to be magiccly flung into a airship. Kain quickly followed him, running past the guards. "Do you know how to drive?" he asked Darein.

Kain shook his head and said. "Sorry, that was a stuid qeution. Um..' He trailed off as he went down into the control room. "Theres a auto-pilot somewhere around here." He muttered and started pressing buttons till the airhsip took off and started to fly out of there.
