Topic: The Getty Girl Store is now OPEN!

http://www.cafepress.com/ub_love2,ub_love3,ub_love,ub_love4,ub_love5,ub_love6

You can sport your Gio/Getty love AND lend a helping hand to a good cause. There are six designs to be had and each design is on everything from shirts to totebags and mugs (added that just for you, B!). Be sure to paste the whole address in your address bar to see all six designs!

IMPORTANT: There is a $2 mark-up in price and ABSOLUTELY ANY AND ALL PROCEEDS will be given to MWAH! in Freddy Rodriguez's name. We make absolutely nothing off sales of these shirts. For those who don't know, MWAH! is the organization that Freddy Rodriguez was a part of as a teenager in Chicago. They are a performing arts troupe that perform anti-drug/anti-gang messages in Chicago area schools. For more information on MWAH! visit: http://www.mwah.net/

If you have any questions, feel free to respond to this post and I'll try to answer them the best I can.

So, let's support our favorite UB character and help out a group dear to Freddy Rodriguez.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: Message from MWAH! Director Ray Moffitt:

That is so very thoughtful of you, Sarah, and your group of fans of Freddy Rodriguez. We would be delighted and honored to be a charity benefiting from the sale of t-shirts and other items via the online shop CafePress. As you know, the MWAH! Performing Arts Troupe has replaced the Explosonic Rockers Street Jazz Theatrical Troupe, both of which I founded and have directed all these years, including those years when Freddy was an extremely dedicated and versatile member of the Explosonic Rockers. He keeps in touch with us and has met with members of our MWAH! troupe from time to time when he has returned to Chicago to visit his family.

A couple of months ago one of our long-time MWAH! members, Andrew Tamez Hull, was cast in a movie 'Humboldt Park' which was being filmed in Chicago and produced by Freddy Rodriguez. The movie is scheduled to be released this coming November.

We deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness from you and other members of your group in your choice of our MWAH! troupe. Please let me know regarding any further questions you might have.

This is what I just emailed to MWAH!

I am writing on behalf of a group of fans of the actor Freddy Rodriguez who we know was a part of your group in Chicago during his teenage years.

We are currently selling t-shirts and other items via the online shop CafePress.com for fellow Freddy Rodriguez fans to purchase featuring a design I made in support of one of the television characters he portrays. The only request I had when I was approached to make the design was that any profits made from the sale of the items benefit a group or charity related to Mr. Rodriguez. After talking with other members of our group, we unanimously chose MWAH! as our first organization to reach out to.

So we are wondering if you accept contributions or donations to your organization, or might be able to direct us to another organization that might accept contributions that would benefit MWAH!. Not only do we know that MWAH! helped to contribute to Mr. Rodriguez's success, but all our members have been helped by similar organizations growing up and know how important they are to a community.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

-------------------------------------------------

I'll keep you updated on if I hear anything back. If not, I'll take a poll on another organization we can send the profits to!

Va! No sweat. I was joking. I was watching 27 dresses so I couldn´t log as much as I wanted to in the chatzy.

What did I buy?

The (edit: Changed for the Jr-Raglan): Team Gio: The Man with a Plan" (pink colored, medium size)

Tote: "Team Getty: Working on their 5 year plan!" Just like Juna!! ^_^ *high five Juna*

Being a Manufacturing Process Engineer... and working in a Financial Projects department ... I can´t resist a man with plans. yay!

STULEY!!!!! That was very nicely written. Let us know about it. Yeah! If they agree we must post this in some blog or something. And write a small article about the cause and featured products.

How did you guys actually pick just one or two things!? I'm still in the process of narrowing it down. I think I'm going to go with a "Team Gio" baseball T, and either a "Team Getty" tote or mug. I'm not sure which I'd get the most use out of. This will be my main focus throughout the rest of the work day. :)

For the moment I just ordered a Team Getty Raglan shirt. But the minute I know I can afford more, I'll definitely be getting some other stuff too! Especially if those pickle boxers go up, LoL

Hey, I like to link directly that "Team Gio / Tean Getty" cafepress.com page in my fansite, both the side menu frame (there are only Freddy IMDB, my fanblog, korean candlelight protesting campaign, and oranc.co.kr free web hosting site) and FR other sites link. Can you make a good banner image for that? ^.^

I like the big one this time, for the eye catching in my fansite visitors. I think the perfect width is 160~170 for my side menu frame (that candlelight banner's width is 165). And about the height, please make whatever you like :)

Oh, can you make another 150 x 70~80 one? I also like to link that in my egloos.com side menu, so in every page the visitors can see that banner.

- Wow, you guys are really doing great works. Cool. And I love Freddy's recent hair - they are growing!

- I wondered how Freddy Rodriguez is doing recently after Ugly Betty and now I see his hair is growing. What a cute smile!

- Beautiful celebrity and beautiful fans ^.^ Especially I like the totebag - simple and good design. I'd like to buy it.

- He looks like a highschool boy with that hair! And great fans, I admire you guys.

- His hair is growing but his baby face and killer smile is always with him. You must be very proud of being a Freddy fan, don't you?
