Ookami-OuOk I'm going to give a lecture on the whole history thing and all that. Hopefully this will make Laharl's and Elreun's chat make sense. Some 15,000 years ago when the world was first created by the gods, there was one extra race besides the others. They were called the Shinkoku, the Shinkoku were demons of the highest caliber, they were taller, smarter, faster, and stronger than regular demons and they absolutely loved battle. Even with their bloodthirsty nature for two thousand years there was relative peace. The Shinkoku occasionally raided a small village or town for sport, but nothing much happened. However the peace was broken, the Shinkoku attacked the human capital and razed it to the ground. The King Telmarack was away at the time and escaped death. Angry the humans declared war. The rest of the races declared war on the Shinkoku soon after. The fighting was intense and engulfed even the netherworld into it. Millions died, and the allied races were on the verge of defeat. Then a band of the most powerful mages gathered together and proposed to seal the Shinkoku into a shadow realm for all eternity. Then at a battle in the netherworld to decide the fates of the universe the mages sealed the Shinkoku away. To ensure no one could simply open the door to the realm, they created two artifacts and a map. The ring of the overlord at the time, Gard, and the bloodmist key. The key would be guarded by each overlord and buried in their tombs. The ring however was hidden away while the map was placed into the dark forest in a temple. |

ShellygirlNow that there is another group traveling elsewhere, I shall make a plot for them. Far away in the Norselands, home of vikings and Norse mythology, lies the mainland: Midgard. There, Ragnarok is about to take place. Ragnarok ("Doom of the Gods"), also called Gotterdammerung, means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology. It follows Fimbulwinter, the winter of winters. Three winters will follow each other with no summers in between. Conflicts and feuds will break out, even between families, and all morality will disappear. This is the beginning of the end. Ragnarok can only begin if the Norselands are plunged into darkness. This can only happen if the Moon and Sun are devoured, causing the stars to vanish. A wolf, Skoll, and his brother Hati plan to do so, and begin Ragnarok. Ragnarok is also possible if two roosters, Fjalar and Gullinkambi, crow to the giants and the gods. Once done, the two ** will join together as one and raise the dead. From all the corners of the world, gods, giants, dwarves, demons and elves will ride towards the huge plain of Vigrid ("battle shaker") where the last battle will be fought. The terrible wolf, Fenrir, will rise from the dead, along with the Midgard serpent, Jormungand, who poisons the land and skies with each breath as he makes his way to land in a fury. If not stopped, the Norselands will sink into the sea. Everyone will perish, and everything will burn to the ground. The only way Ragnarok ceases is if Skoll and Hati fail to consume the moon and sun. If defeated, the Norselands will prosper. Skoll and Hati are building armies of giants and wolves as you read this, attacking villages and claiming temples that can create more wolves, giants, trolls, and more. Skoll and Hati can be defeated if an army strong enough attacks them. Meanwhile, they trick villages that will not succumb to them into fighting each other until no one survives. Your mission would be to reclaim several temples, converting the village to your cause in the process, and eventually ripping Skoll and Hati of their power, preventing Ragnarok. However, if Fimbulwinter ends before you complete your task, Skoll and Hati will not need armies to eat the two planets, and they will succeed. MAIN GODS: Thor{good}, Loki{evil}, Odin{neutral, but mostly good} MINOR GODS: Freyja{love}, Tyr{vengeance}, Njord{ocean}, Skadi{winter}, Hel{death}, etc. |
