Name: Shining Nova (obviously), but I prefer being called Nova.

Why You're Here: Because I like writing, and I like talking to other writers. Nothing spectacular. Part of the reason why I created this forum was that I noticed that it's a helluva lot of forums bashing bad fics. Now, I'm thinking to myself... "What's with all of these bashing forums? Why isn't anyone giving credit to the good fics? Shouldn't we surround ourselves with positivity?" And voila, this forum was born! And the other reason I made this forum? I love socializing. ;)

Why You're on FFN: Original stories are my forte, but I like reading fanfiction. I only review on FFN; don't expect a fic from me anytime soon. I review to help others realize their potential and sharpen their writing skills.

Why I'm here: I was drawn to gold star by one of Nova's brilliant Simon Cowell-esque critiques of one of the stupidest fanfics I've ever read. (I was trying to read it for a laugh, but it wasn't even worth that). And FF.net in general? I started writing fanfiction back in sixth grade without even knowing what fanfiction was. When I found out there was a whole community of people with my same interests, I was hooked.

Well, that's me in a nutshell, I guess.

Why I'm here in this forum: I saw one of your reviews, checked your profile, and liked the idea of a reviewing forum that didn't spork and bash. I've left a few snarky reviews in my time, but there has to be a happy medium.

Why I'm at the site: I've been writing fanfiction as a hobby for quite a while now. For a long time, I did not post at FFN, having been warned of the 'teenage' fiction I'd have to slog through. But I like the traffic and the fact that writers of all levels can post here.

I don't see why the more experienced among us can't give a courteous hand to those just learning.

Why I'm Here: Okay... (tries to keep from laughing) I read your review for a Kingdom Hearts story-- I'm a big Kingdom Hearts buff-- and I thought it was simply brilliant. Concrit is making a comeback! Authors should be told when a story needs improvement, and you made it very clear (and extremely funny) exactly what backfired on that story. And like Randy up there, (^_^) I skimmed through your profile, took a gander at your forum, and loved the idea. FFN doesn't have enough forums like this; bashing and sporking forums dominate the scene.

Why I'm On FFN: Stumbled on FFN long ago by accident, but I've been hooked onto it ever since. I love to write, I love my share of fandom, and I love chatting with other people with similiar interests. And being on this site for so long has helped me to strengthen my own writing, fanfiction and non-fanfiction writing. ^_^ This site will always have a special place in my favorites.

Why You're Here: To learn how to write better. Lol. It's true. I first came here just to pimp my stories, but then I began reading writing books and thought: why not make tutorials to help those authors who don't have access to those books? So, my forum Haven was born. I find teaching, concritting, and reading strengthen writing skills quickly. I've given over a hundred concrits, and I know with each author I perfect my craft a little more. Learning from other's mistakes makes a difference.

Why You're on FFN: To hone my writing skills and share (hopefully) decent stories; stories that took research, thought, and careful characterization.

Maiafay or Maia (unusual but nice name), and Silver, browse through the other threads and enjoy your stay. :)

Why You're Here: I've always been an avid book reader...then I thought, 'Wouldn't it be cool if I wrote books like these guys?' So I started writing. :D I still need improvement, of course-- that's why I'm here, and on fictionpress, so people can tell me where I can improve! :D Though I've definitely know my weak areas are things like transition and pacing.

Why FFN, specifically: I dunno...I kinda like the idea of bending characters into my will. XD That's why I enjoy writing, I guess. Don't ever get me a Death Note, lol. XD And sometimes...I just want to see more of the characters than the shows/manga/books present.

Why You're Here: Found the link on LFE and was interested enough to click it and join:)

And why am I here? I'm here on this forum because I noticed the link on the LFE (just like greeneyes) and decided to come. This forum looks quite good, I must say...and why am I on the site? Well, I thought I could practice my writing skills, although I have since stopped writing, because I'm running low on ideas, and I'm soon going to try Fictionpress.

Why I'm Here: Uh...cuz Silver hair Angel recommended your forum, so I decided to check it out. : )

Why I'm On FFN: I like to write, so most of my fanfics are "warm-up" writings. What I do is "warm-up" my author's brain by writing a wacky, crazy, funny story. Then, I put my nose to the grind and start working on a story I want to publish.

Why I'm on FFN: I've loved fanfiction ever since a friend introduced it to me about five years ago, but I haven't been writing lately because I have a tendency to rush with my writing. Once summer comes I might be able to slow down and continue though...Plus I want to improve my writing skills because I have a huge idea for several stories IRL but I'm afraid they would suck if I wrote them now :)

Seriously? I was referred by Silver. I like the idea of a positive forum. I've gone through the canon nazi/purist stage and have left my share of scathing reviews in the past. I've since come to realize that kids will be kids (and write like them) and to live and let live. I'd rather learn to write better and in the process, maybe I can help someone else too. And I like to socialize online too!

Why you're on this site: I love fanfiction. I love to read it and I love to write it, and I also love to discuss it. This site is the most diverse, the most easy to handle, and has most different fandoms. And it is not as specialized as other archives. I love to read and post on other archives, too, but most of them are restricted to one or two fandoms, or just one category of stories. This site has many fandoms, many categories of stories, and also lively forums, which I like. And I also like that writers of all levels can post here. :)

Why You're Here: Hum... Silver said it shouldn't be a problem if I popped over, and I really like the idea for this forum. ^^ There are so many good fics out there on FFnet... they just sometimes get buried in the substandard. Anything that will highlight those good fics is alright with me. :) Not to mention that this will call my attention to more reading material... I'm always looking for that. ;)

Why You're on FFN: I love fanfiction. It's become an addiction for me. Years ago I was just a lurker who read (and didn't review; bad Katie!), but almost 2 years ago I got an account when I wanted to start posting my first fanfic.

I'm here to improve. I consider my writing to improve with every chapter I write and the tips I receive, and I want to keep that up. There is no ceiling on writing, and I hope to keep finding ways to improve myself, all the while enjoying the good fics out there on this site. And, well... there's nothing that keeps me motivated more than knowing others enjoy my writing. It is a bit petty, yes, but it's true. :)

Why You're Here: Silver Hair Angel mentioned it and I found it to be a cool place to be where the postive is focused on rather than the negative. I think that the good stuff is being overlooked just to bash the bad stuff. This seems like a good place to improve and talk about the good.

Why You're on FFN: I started reading some of the stories here and decided that I would like to take a stab at fanfic writing too and I found this to be a good way to improve my writing even with orginal fics. I find myself thinking of the concrit given on my fics. I also like reading the fics and socializing with people here. I find it much easier than in real life. (Is there anything wrong? I'm just shy around new people face to face)

Why I'm Here on FFN : Because I love writing. I love the way the English language works, and I love using words to create emotion. FFN helps me to improve my own writing, as well as letting me help other people with theirs. Reading is one of my absolute favourite pastimes, too. I'm at fanfiction.net because once upon a time in eighth grade I decided that I liked Naruto more than any other TV show, and I thought to myself, "I can't wait for the next episode! This is torture! Why this forum: Honestly, I have no idea. I guess I found the link or some reference in another forum and then I kind of stayed. I'm eager to improve as a writer.

Why ff.net: It's the biggest site out there and almost the only one that features my favourite subgenre (slash) of my fandom (Eragon). And yes, I know the book is horrible and the movie even worse.

Why fanfiction: When I found out early last year that all those stories I am constantly imagining (ever since I saw Disney's Jungle Book at the age of four) were not a sign of my craziness, but in fact a passion shared by many, my life changed for the better. I've realized that hardly anything is as pleasing as giving others a good time reading my stories. Notice the emphasis on "hardly"!
