Gabi sat hugging her brother while a fresh wave of silent tears fell for her other brother.

Mimi silently laughed at Angel and Collins. They were such a cute couple.

"I-I-I just miss him so much" Roger choked. Kelli rubbed his back, she didn't exactly know the pain Roger felt but she somehow could feel it as well.

Angel kissed Collins. "I love you baby," she said. He kissed her back "I love you too."

Collins glanced at the clock. It read 2 am. "It's late, Angelcake and I are gonna get going" he announced. Angel nodded sleepily. Collins scooped her up in his arms and exited the cafe.

Kelli looked up as Collins and Angel left the cafe. She leaned over and whispered in Roger's ear "We should get going too." Roger looked at her wearily with his puffy red eyes, one extremely purple. He nodded and wiped his face,wincing at the pain. He stood and tapped Gabi's shoulder "Come on, We're going home." he said. Kelli linked her arm with his and laid her head on his shoulder, which was awkward because she was a few inches shorter.

Mimi looked around at all the sleepy couples. "I better get going too. Night everyone!!" she called to the entire restaurant and chased after Angel and Collins so she wouldn't have to walk alone.

Gabi got up and followed the couple. They walked in silence down the street until they reached Ave. B and 11th. "You can sleep on the couch tonight." Roger said to Gabi. "We won't send you on the subway this late. Mom does know you're here right?" he asked as Kelli opened the door. "Yea about that..." she began until she noticed that Roger was going towards the answering machine. "Wait don't!" she cried...but it was to late. [[Chunchunchunnnn.....hehe]]

[[oh it was worth it]]

Angel was asleep in Collins' arms when Mimi ran up. "Hey" Collins said not even bothering to look at her.

Roger pressed the button. Kelli had already waltzed off to the bedroom. The answering machine beeped.

"Roger, honey, It's your mother. Gabi's gone. She didn't tell us where she was going or why so if you see her call us. or have her call. Oh and tell Mark I said Hi. Love you!" his mother's voice drifted through the loft. Roger turned and looked at Gabi. "YOU MEAN MOM DOESN'T KNOW YOU'RE HERE!?!?!?" He yelled flailing his arms this way and that, like he was trying to flag two cabs.

Roger's yelling awoke Kelli so she yelled, "SHUT UP! SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP IN HERE!!!!"

Roger winced, and called "Okay babe" then looked back at Gabi with a death glare.

Gabi ignored him as she sat down on the couch. "Calm down...it's not like you've never done it. She's not mad or anything." she said. "So I can sleep here?" A small smirk crossed her lips as she saw a vein begin to show on her brother's forehead. "Calm down. I'll call her in the morning ok?" Roger stiffly nodded and began to walk away. "Good night!" she called. "Yeah, yeah." he said tiredly. She smiled and laid down.

[[Whee....wish me luck!! I have 2 UILs tommorow so keep your fingers crossed for me ;)]]

Roger laid down next to Kelli. He stared at the ceiling. "I can't believe mom doesn't know she's here." he said to himself. Kelli grunted. "I mean you wouldn't do that, would you?" Kelli grunted again. "You're more of the person who would threaten to run away, but wouldn't do it." he said. Kelli...grunted. Roger looked over at her. Her back was facing him. "I'm leaving you." he said bluntly, trying to see if she was awake. Kelli gave one last grunt and rolled over. Roger looked at her. "You're asleep." he whispered. Then he decided he might as well go to sleep too. He nestled down under the blanket and closed his eyes, thoughts still whirling around in his head.

[[*Jazz Hands* GOOOOOOOOD LUCK! *Cha Cha Cha*]]

Gabi curled up under her jacket and soon fell asleep. She awoke later to the sounds of someone bustling around in the kitchen. She opened her eyes and looked out the window, seeing the sun barley peeking out of the horizen of high rises. " Why the hell do I always have to move in with morning people?" she grumbled to herself as she rolled over and tried to go back to sleep.

[[We didn't go to state :( But in choir we did really good. lol...we take what we can get :)]]

Kelli creeped into the kitchen. She was an early riser. She attempted to be extremely quiet so as not to wake Gabi, she failed. She bumped against something and it ruffled quiet loudly. She made herself some coffee and sat down on the windowsill to watch the sunrise.

[[Awwww! :[ That's the spirit! :D]]

A few hours later, Gabi rolled over which caused her to fall of of the couch and onto the floor of the loft. She awoke with a start and looked around. It took her a few moments to realize that she was not home. She rubbed her eyes and got off of the floor. "Good Morning." she said as she stretched.

[[I'm soooooo sorry it took me so long!! And thats its somewhat short.]]

[[It's okay.]]

Kelli jumped at the sound of Gabi falling off the couch. "Morning," she chirped hopping up off the sill. "You want some breakfast?" she asked setting her empty coffee cup on the table.

Roger was awakened by the loud thud Gabi admitted by falling off the couch. He got up and padded into the living room. "What the hell is going on?" he yawned.

"Ah....It lives." Gabi said referring to her older brother. "Barely." she said as an after thought noticing his hangover, complete with bedhead. "Would love some." she said to Kelli. "Need any help?" she asked as she walked towards the stove.

"It's not alive...It just has to use the bathroom." Roger retorted heading into the bathroom.

"No, No. You're our guest. What would you like?" Kelli asked, very waitress like. She had had a few drinks last night but never suffered from hangovers, she could never place why, though.

"No please let me help. Its the least I can do." Gabi tried to reason with her future-sister-in-law...unsuccessfully. After a few minuets of going back and forth Gabi finally caved in. "Fine. I'll have Eggs Benedict with whole wheat toast and fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice, light pulp." Gabi said sarcastically. "So cereal?" Kelli asked. "Oh...you're good." Gabi said with a grin.

"Cap'n Crunch, Cheerios, or Frosted Flakes?" Kelli laughed, pulling the boxes down from the cabinet.

Roger came out of the bathroom and yawned again. He walked over to Kelli and grabbed her waist while she wasn't looking. She jumped at the feel of his cold hands. He kissed her neck "Morning." he said.

"Hello...little sister in the room." she joked as she grabbed the box of Frosted Flakes. "So what great awesometastic plans do you bohos have for today?" she asked as she grabbed a bowl from the cabinet. She quickly whipped up her breakfast and took a bite. Heaven.

[[I love Frosted Flakes! lol, ;)]]

"Hello...little sister leave the room." Roger said. He laughed and grabbed the Cap'n Crunch. He opened the box and put his hand in, he pulled out a handful of cereal and proceeded to gulp it down.

Kelli sighed and grabbed the cheerios. She pured it and some milk into a bowl and sat down to eat.

"You're going home." Roger said between bites of cereal.

Gabi rolled her eyes as she took another bite of her cereal. "You're going home" Roger said. "Ha ha...that's funny." she said as she took another bite. Roger threw her a look and she sighed. "Roger don't make me go back! Life sucks back there!" she said hoping her brother would have some sympathy.

Kelli looked from Roger to Gabi. She hit Roger's arm, "Have a heart Roger. Let her stay for a week or two then we'll see to take her home or not." Kelli reasoned.

Roger sighed, "Fine. But you have to pull your own weight around here." and he ate another handful of cereal.

"Thank You!" Gabi said hugging Kelli and Roger in turn. "And don't worry you'll barely know I'm here. I'll get a job so I can help with the rent. Wait...you don't even pay rent. Well I'll help with the groceries or something. The Life hires at 16 right?" she asked excitedly practically all in one breath.

Kelli laughed and hugged Gabi. "The Life hires at 10!" she joked. "They'll hire anyone who can work. And if that doesn't work, I can get you a job a the Catscratch if you want."

Roger stared at Kelli wide-eyed. "My sister will NOT work at the Catscratch." he stated

Kelli just waved him off like a fly. "Well, Gabi, Let's go see when you can start." she said grabbing their coats and heading for the door. "Bye Rog!" she called as he scrambled after them.

"Awesome." she said taking her coat from Kelli. "Later Roger!" she called over her shoulder, laughing as he nearly jumped over the table after them. "So its settled. I work, I stay, everyone's happy." Gabi said with a smile.

[[TO THE LIFE!]]

Kelli opened the door of the Life Cafe and let Gabi go in. The door was just about to shut when Roger caught it and skittled [[Not a word, but it sounds funny!]] in after them. Kelli walked up to the manager and said "My sister would like to apply for a job," he handed her a job application and she handed it to Gabi and they all went over to a table so Gabi could fill it out.

[[Whee!]]

Gabi sat down at table and began filling out the application. "Why do they need to know my height and weight?" she asked about halfway through. "If you're to fat or to short will they not hire you or something?" A few seconds later she read one of the questions out loud. "'Why do you want to work here?' What kind of question is that? 'I need to feed my 3 month old baby and my crack addiction'." she said slowly as she wrote. Roger reached over and flicked her in the head. "Ow! I was only kidding. Jeez!" she said rubbing her head. After a few minuets later she finished filling out the entire application. "Ok...now what?" she asked Kelli, handing her the completed application.

Kelli scanned over the application to make sure Gabi hadn't put anything stupid. "Now, we hand it in and play the waiting game." she said. She got up and handed the manager the application and sat back down.

"Well, while you two are playing the waiting game, I'm going to play the drinking game." Roger replied and went to go get a beer.

"Its not even 10 yet, you drunk!!" Gabi shouted after Roger. She shook her a head, laughed and looked over at Kelli. "What was your first job?"she asked.

Roger waved a dismissive hand at Gabi and took a seat at the bar.

"Wow..." Kelli sighed thinking back. "My first job..."

[[F-L-A-S-H-B-A-C-K!]]

"AHHHHHH! I'M GONNA BE LATE!" Kelli yelled to her roommate who was sitting around lazily and reading the paper. "WHERE DID YOU PUT MY WHITE PLEATED SKIRT!?!?!?" she screamed.

"It's in your dresser, third from the top." Carly said. She pointed over towards Kelli's dresser.

Kelli franticly ran over to the dresser and flung the clothes out this way and that until she found her skirt. She quickly slipped it on and grabbed her keys. "I'll be back at three!" she yelled running out the door.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1" Carly counted. Just then Kelli ran back in the door.

"Shoes," she panted. She pulled on her tennis shoes and once again ran out the door. She had to run for her life just to get to the Catscratch in time.

[[FLASHBACK OVER!!!]]

"My first real job was at the catscratch. Other than that, just babysitting. Now, I work here and at the catscratch." Kelli answered.

"Do you have fun working at the Catscratch? I was honestly thinking about getting a job there. Mimi was talking about it. She said she had fun there...not something she would want to do the rest of her life...but fun none the less." Gabi said. "I've never had an actual job. I used to do homework for some people but that's about it. What if I screw up?" Gabi turned to Kelli, a hint of fear in her voice. She hoped Kelli didn't hear it.

Kelli laughed. "It's okay, I mean, Mimi's a dancer. Of course she has fun. I, on the other hand, am a bartender. I get to deal with all the drunken bar rats." she said. Kelli noted the fear in Gabi's voice. "You'll do fine sweetie. Just don't think about it. And, You know I'll be here form time to time too." Kelli put a reassuring hand on Gabi's shoulder and smiled.

Gabi smiled at Kelli. "Thanks Kelli." Gabi shook off the feeling of fear and quickly replaced it with giddiness. "So you bar-tend? You get to deal with all the drunks? Lucky you. But I guess you deal with them everyday." Gabi joked as she looked over towards the bar. Roger sat at the bar, three empty bottles already around him and a half empty one in his hand.

[As you can see, I'm determined...and obsessed with the computer. I had surgery on my hand today, but I still managed to get on. Go Me!!! xD]

Kelli laughed. "I live with a drunk." she joked, "Yeah, it's not the most fun job in the world, but it pays, and I get quite a few tips" Kelli said nudging Gabi playfully. "Just don't tell Roger" she added.

[[OMG! Are you Ok? Wait...don't answer that...not until your hand gets better. Why did you have surgery? Ack!! I did it again...Ok I'm stopping now. ;)]]

Gabi took a breath and looked over to the bar. "Rog-" she stopped as Kelli put a hand over her mouth. Gabi started laughing as Kelli pulled back her hand. "I'm glad you guys aren't making me go home. I'm having to much fun here." she said with a grin.

[Don't worry, I'm fine. I just had to get a wart thingy removed. Now my arm is orange because they had to put this germ-killing paint on me. xD]

"Yea. I'm glad you're staying too. Now I can get to know my sister-in-law better." She laughed.

Roger heard part of his name. He turned around and looked at the girls. Kelli smiled, he smiled back and waved with his empty bottle. Then he turned back around and ordered another. This would be his fifth. [Oh Boy! ;] Heh]

[[Awwww...we never got surgery for our warts...we just got those band-aids with medicine on them. lol. Well I hope you feel better and you do not remain an Oompa-Loompa for much longer. lol]]

"I know it only happened like a few hours ago, but do you guys have a date or anything? My cousin's boyfriend's sister's best friend's dog walker's uncle's girlfriend owns a dress shop on 5th Ave. She has beautiful dresses and I'm sure she'll give us a good deal. We can go look around later or tomorrow if you want to." Gabi told Kelli. A small smile crept onto her face as she watched her sister-in-law. She was only half paying attention to Gabi and the other half was on the older Davis across the room. She looked around and saw the manager walking towards them.

"Yea, that'd be nice." Kelli said only half paying attention. The manager approached the table. Kelli snapped back to reality. "Yes Sir?"

The manager looked straight at Gabi. "When can you start?"

Gabi felt her face light up. "Really?!?!" she squealed. The manager cringed and nodded. "I have no life so I can start whenever. I can come in tonight if you want me to." Gabi was thrilled. Her first real job.

"Good. You start at 11 p.m. Be here." the manager said and slowly walked away.

Kelli jumped up. "YAY!" she screamed. She ran over to Roger. "SHE GOT THE JOB!" she yelled in his ear. He groaned and thumped his head on the bar. "We'd better get him home." she told Gabi. She wrapped his arm around her shoulder and helped him to wobble back to the loft, where he collapsed on the couch.

Gabi looked at her indisposedolder brother on the couch. "Normally I would make some sort of crack about AA or something to that extent...but I'm in such a good mood you shall be spared for the time being." she said going into her theatrical persona. "Ok...what am I going to do for the next 9 hours?" she asked looking at the clock that read 1 pm.

Kelli laughed. "Let's go out for bit. Leave the drunk here to wallow." she offered. She kissed Roger on the head. "Bye Sweetie. Feel Better" she whispered. Then she flounced out the door.

Roger just laid on the couch and groaned.

"Bye Roger. Hope you feel better. Drink some coffee." Gabi told her brother as she walked out the door behind Kelli. "So what do you feel like doing?" she asked Kelli as they descended the long spiraling stairs.

"Hm. Don't know." Kelli replied. She thought for a moment. "Let's just wing it. Walk around. Talk, have some one-on-one time." she suggested heading down the sidewalk towards the Life.

"Sounds good to me." Gabi said as they walked down the street. They walked in silence until Gabi cleared her throat. "So do you have any plans for the wedding yet?" Gabi asked.

"MHM." Kelli replied, happy they had started talking. "The colors are going to be red and black, and the theme is roses!" she chirped. She was so happy she could hardly contain herself. She had always dreamed of a wedding like that. She'd been planning it since she was seven.

Gabi laughed at the older girl.. "You've been planning this since you were like three haven't you?" she asked. "I never really understood why girls did that. When I was five, these girls in my building went crazy because one of them got a Dream Wedding Barbie. I was never really into Barbies though. My family had to stop giving them to me when I was like six." "Why?" Kelli asked. "Because I used to chop off all their hair and throw their heads at Roger and Brock." Kelli looked at her with a combination of worry, fear, and WTF-ness. "What? Its wasn't my fault their heads came off so easily.

[[Unfortunately my little cousin actually used to do that. I'm soooo sorry it took so long. Damn TAKS test. lol.]]

"I've been planning it since I was seven. But it was mostly because I wanted it to be to this boy named Chris, and those were his favorite colors." Kelli said. "Well what about you? Haven't you ever thought about having a fairytale wedding?"

Gabi giggle. "When my cousin got married I kinda thought about my wedding. That was like three years ago though." she said trying to remember details. "All I really remember was that I wanted to get married on the beach." Gabi remembered with a small smile.

[[Yea!! TAKS is over! I should have your Myspace reply soon. I'm having some plot block with it so I'm gonna get my friend to help me so it will be awesometastic.]]

"Oooh, sounds romantic." Kelli swooned. "Any thoughts on who it might be with?" she asked wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

[Sweet. Sorry this took me so long, we're finishing up our creative writing unit, and I've been busy.]

[[I feel horrible!! I never saw the email for this reply!! I'm outragously sorry this took me so long.]]

Gabi laughed at the older girl. "Not really." she said. "Roger and Brock always said I couldn't date until I was sixteen. But here I am and my romantic life is pretty much zilch."Gabi let out a small laugh. "Its funny, This was the only thing I ever actually listened to them about."

[Yikes, sorry this took me forever. I guess I just spaced, what with my new fanfic and all. Totally sorry.]

"Really, were Roger and Brock protective?" Kelli asked curiously. She knew Roger was protective, but Roger never said much about Brock, so Kelli had no idea what he was like.

[And it's really short, STUPID WRITER'S BLOCK.]
