The challenge at hand it to create a "short story" in the fandom of your choice.

Rules:

* Must be no longer than 1500 words

* Can involve canon and own characters if the author(ess) wishes, but please no Mary Sues or OOC

* Any fandom may be used, but the fanfiction must start out or end with:

Welcome to [Insert your Fandom City here]

* Contest will officially start April 1st 2008. This does not mean you can start working on your fanfiction entry before hand, but no entries will be submitted before April 1st. All entries must be submitted to "Challenge 1" thread by 11:59pm EST on April the 15th.

I like the sound of this so I think I might do this, if I can come up with a good idea. And most likely I will, considering my brain has no off switch, so more likely than not I will enter this.

Can I post my own specific challenge here? I'm keeping it general; write a story about the hero/protagonist of your fandom getting captured by his worst enemy/nemesis. Include a scene with the enemy/nemesis either taunting/gloating/ speaking condescendingly over the fallen/captured/restrained hero. It can have either a happy or a sad ending, just make sure the bad guy/nemesis appears smart, sadistic, and on the same level of dignity as they are portrayed in the fandom.

EDIT: I can't... I prmised myself I wouldn't start anymore stories, and by golly, I'm gonna keep it. Sorry.
