Seriously, I have a basic outline and notes for the chapter down, I just have to get it sorted out into a proper outline as well as alter it with the changes I've made in the last two chapters. That shouldn't take more than a few days, given proper attention.

Bad news: I've only just started writing and already I have a bit of writer's block. I think this is more due to not having really played the different scenes out in my head. Also, I have to re-examine the events from several different perspectives and attempt to write in character for them (In particular, Dumbledore and Nodoka).

However, I still stand by my deadline. This chapter will be done before the month's out.

Anyway, excuses aside, I'm going to spend a lot of time this weekend trying to finally get the flow and details of the chapter down. I write really slowly, though, so I can't promise it'll be done by this time next week. I will try to get it going though, and, I assure you, I will finish with this first book.

I know I mentioned Sunday but, realistically, that probably won't happen. I'm thinking more like mid-week next week for a release.

Oh, for those who get around to reading this, I plan to do a final author's notes/Q&A/extras wrap up on the book. The idea right now is to comment on what was good and bad about the book, things I plan to do differently next book, the general direction of the story, and also answer the last questions from this coming chapter. In addition, I'd like to do something for you all for patiently waiting a year for me to finish this thing. I'm taking suggestions from everyone for "deleted scenes", stuff that didn't make it into the final version of the story. I'll pick four out of all the suggestions, write them up, and include them in the extras chapter. So feel free to suggest in the "Deleted Scenes Suggestions" thread or even in your comments on this chapter, when it's done.

The whole neo Marauders thing was the weakest part of the story as a whole I think. I really was jumping when Ranma went and quit the group. Not because it wasn't well written... it's just... Ranma isn't all that much of a prankster, not like Fred and George at least. Besides I always thought that the twins were kinda jerks (and I think your portrayal of them is quite IC), the kind that Ranma wouldn't actually call 'friends'; maybe he'd get around to not be angry at them, but I really hope he doesn't go back to the Marauders (Although... he should be on the recieving end of some unpleaseant hexes thanks to the Marauders -the old ones- warning from the map).

The thing I liked the most was Ranma's and Hermione's relationship wich just screams a... "Ranmione" (Thanks Ron for the name of the couple, lol) in future books. Ranma being angry at Ron for just having Hermione falling asleep on his shoulder awards for bonus points.

Another thing that was interesting was "Ranma, the study freak" as he needs to be to continue on Hogwarts (afterall, his magic is almost "squibly").

What I am looking foreward for Book 2:

- Ranma being classic jealous 'prat' to Hermione thanks to her crush for Glideroy Lockhart.

- Ranma being 'scared' of Hermione's look after the polyjuice potion incident.

- Fight with the Basillisk & Tom Riddle.

- More Genma? Maybe let him show Ranma that he still has a thing or two to teach him?

- Ranma trying to steal a beater spot from one of the twins.

- Fight with Ryouga?

And... that's about it, the rest is expected I guess. :P

Oh, PS: -Hermione explaining why she knows japanese?

Great work, by the way.

I can't promise you that everything you mentioned will be addressed, as it doesn't all fit my plans. But you can be sure that Ryoga will definitely make an appearance in the books; I just don't see a proper Ranma story without him. Genma will also factor into the story, but seeing as he's not a wizard, he won't be seen at the school. And, yeah, he still knows a few things that Ranma doesn't.

Oh, and how does Hermione know Japanese? Well, first off, she doesn't really know it that well at all. I'd say she couldn't even hold more than a basic conversation. On the other hand, she's very studious, and she has a friend that speaks Japanese, so it's an excuse to try learning it, when she's not doing class work. On the other hand, I wonder if she tried learning Bulgarian in canon?

Incidentally, current word count is about 15k, and I fully expect to put at least another 2k down. I may whittle that down a bit more on editing, but this is still working out to be a long chapter.

For Book2, will you continue to follow HP story line for the chamber of secret? Will you have Ranma and Harry face Vold. at the end together or just Harry alone? Will Ranma be petrified instead of Hermoine (saving her)? Will Ranma increase his training over the summer now that he realize the diff in power between him and vold? Is Genma going to try to take Ranma to see Soun? I know I'm jumping ahead, but thought I'll ask anyway.

I just wanted to say that I'm addicted to this fanfic, and that I can't wait to read next chapter.

Ah! And don't worry (too much) about the time you take to write it. As long as you work in it, and keep us informed about it, I think we all can endure the wait. Afterall, this fic is worth all the time in the world.

I don't have any special pairing to vote for. As long as it is done well, I really don't care who ends with who. I think that should be your decision.
