If both were at the olympics who would win!?

Sonic is better at speed and running, but Mario could probably do the air tricks better. Both have had to whirl on horizontal poles and jump off at the right time, so it's anyone's game there, Sonic has never truly had to throw anything and Mario had to throw many of his enemies to beat them. And in the games, Sonic dies in water, but Mario can always swim.

That's what I got, so judging on that Mario would win out of just those two.
