Topic: Wild World
I just got Wild World and I have Wi-fi, but I lack a friends roster. I'm sure there are many people on ffnet who are in a similar situation. Hopefully, people will come and make friends here.

Name: Losan

Town: Tokyo (I was tired and couldn't think of anything original)

Friend Code: 4252-6374-3459

Hey! I know someone on the web who's always looking for friend codes so he can meet new people and have others visit. Try Fourhman.com. He's a hardcore AC fan! I'd give you my friend code, but I don't have Wild World at all.

*groans* I'm never gonna pay off my debt for my second floor now that I have Wild World. I bet my GameCube Animal Crossing is just going to get abandoned and will only be good for weed growing.

Why? Gotta cash flow problem with Bells? I could suggest a number of money raising stratgies.

I've abandoned all hopes of my GC animal crossing, so I'm stickin with WW!

Wish I could say the same, but sadly enough I have to live WW through my friends.

Yay! Nook's remodling today! *sniffle* I miss my Nookington's for the GC version; it was so big... Does anyone else find Nook's kids annoying? My friend who plays AC, too, loves them.
#7 Dec 30th 2005, 8:14pm
J-Brown
I hate them. Can't you see a connection between Nook and his kids and Mable following you around while you shop? They think that just because we're human we'll steal something. Mable and Nook are obviously racist and Nook has taught his children his same chauvenistic beliefs.
#8 Dec 30th 2005, 8:29pm
dragondolphin1990
Wow... I've never heard of racism against humans... but that makes since.

Nook and Mable, now that would make a scary couple.

#9 Dec 30th 2005, 10:18pm
J-Brown
Nook and Mable. That would be... different. Speaking of Nooks relationships where is Mrs. Nook in all this? Did she die? Did she choke on Tom's chauvenist beliefs? I fancy the idea he killed her. But I digress from the subject. Maybe I am a tad crazy (but thats okay) but I'm able to pick up which animals are kind of weary of humans and which ones tolerate us.

Perhaps Nook is some kind of weird asexual creature and he had kids with himself. EeEeEeEeWwWwWwWwWwWw!!!!!

If he's assexual, then I'm definetly surprised his feminine half would want to procreate with him, but I digress, this is getting a little too over "T" rating. Perhaps a new conversation is in order. We were talking a few panels back about Animals feelings towards humans. I think that there is a little be of racism in everyone there. There are at least six subcategories for every animal. Three personalities for Girls, three for boys. Each category has their own tolerance for humans. This is getting way out of hand now. Lets drop the whole thing all together. What's your town like and who's in it?

dragondolphin1990
Yeah, you're right... Anyway, in my GameCube town (named mt.sky after my Jr. High) I have about ten people, and I always forget who. I remember Goose, Pecan, and Sprocket. Pecan's all preppy. Sprocket rules. I used to have Fang, but he moved to my friend's town. I miss Fang (and everyone else who moved) I have a two story house (still need to pay the rent, though) and Nookingtons. Oh, and I'm proud of my museums complete dinosaur collection. And I think I'm kinda ugly...

In my DS town (named Tokyo because I was tired and had been thinking about anime) I have... *thinks* um... Limberg, Baabara, Melba, Dotty, Jitters whats-her-name, whats-his-name, and that other guy. Jitters is my favorite, but he's a jock. I have Nook N Go, but I'm still 2000 bells away from paying off my first debt. And I wear this really cool astronaut hat!

So, what about you, John? Can I call you that?

Well, I only have the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing, and it's been a while since I played (I now live Animal Crossing through fanfiction). I've more or less completed the basic idea. Paid off my house, advanced to Nookingtons, went through a whole year, caught all fish and insects, found all paintings and fossils. It's been at least three or four months since I last played so I'm sure the best description I can give you is lots and lots of weeds... I'm sure the game has been putting a new villager in town every two weeks, but my staple villagers are Bangle, Hazel, Kitt, Billy, Bob, Joey, Lucky, Bunnie, Friga, Gwen, Butch, Gonzo, and Murphy. The other two are not important enought to remember. Town name is Onett, which according to my fic "is a very Earthbound name." My name is John because Johnathan doesn't fit in the enter name panel, and sure, you can call me John.

dragondolphin1990
I used to have Billy, but he moved to my mom's town. (and my mom never plays) Onett is an awsome name! I love Earthbound (though I am pathetic at it) I tried to name my DS town Onett, but I forgot how to spell it. One-something. Personally I prefered Fourside (izzat how you spell it?)
#15 Jan 02nd 2006, 5:24am
J-Brown
I've had three Animal Crossing towns in the past and don't feel bad. I misspelled Onett terribly. I wasn't sure how it was spelled on a spur of the moment, and I had no idea how to type it out on the controller, and I spelled it "onnet". Later I bought a larger memory card and made a town with the correct spelling of "Onett." During this time I was renting Animal Crossing and had to use my own memory card. When I bought it, I had another memory card. I named that town Fourside (you spelled it right). This all happened sometime in 2002 and here I am, at 2006, with the original onnet (which is my staple town), and over the years I deleted Onett and Fourside. I now have a blank memory card where I store photographs from Super Smash Brothers Melee, a memory card with assorted games and onnet town data, and a town I called Belmont with a character named Giles (Castlevania meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Now, I've never had the chance to play Earthbound in my life yet, but I got the names from Super Smash Brothers Melee. Now, when I talk about Onett, I really mean the mispelled variation. And still yet, I don't have Wild World and probably never will. I don't have that kinda money to shell out for a DS and game. Besides, my friends chastize me for playing video games at such an old age. I tell them I'm growing older, but not up.

Ah well. It's not much of a gift. It's just a common NES game, Donkey Kong. I wanted to get you a 100 turnip code, as it's reusable, but I couldn't find the website I got it from.

*eyes narrow* flamer... hisssssss... Now, Hazard, I can respect your opinion, though I disagree with it. Now, I simply want to say that if you dislike Animal Crossing so much, why did you waste five minutes of your time coming to this forum? *points do a door* There's the exit, have a nice day!

Now now, lets all play nice here. I know I'm not this forum's administrator, Hazard13, but as owner of the monoply of the forum "Laugh, Cry, and Cherish the Memories," I can tell you that many among the forums have made friends. This is a Safe Zone, and when you threaten the comfortability of the Safe Zone, there will be modest retaliation from several members. Lets all be positive and get along. If you want to talk about Animal Crossing with some nice people in a friendly manner, then be our guest. But if you wish to further contaminate this topic, then take heed of Dragondolphin1990 and exit. I do not wish to lecture, but if I have, then I am sorry. Were all good people here, and we wish for our blissful la-la land to stay as fruitful as it can bare.

PS: I do hope that the Donkey Kong code worked and you have all enjoyed it longer than the five minutes I have.

It's not even that hazard flamed that bugged me. (I don't mind flamers, most of the time) But he cursed. Since the game itself is rated so that little kids can play it, then I would respect that you speak appropriately here.

Anyway, lets talk about something less boring than flamers. So, do you remember when it stops snowing? (in the game)

Sheesh. I went to college and can't even fathom the ideas of algebra. But thats beyond the point. I think we were talking about seasons for Animal Crossing. I like the summer. All the crickets, fireflies, campers; it's all a lot of fun. Which season do you prefer?

nice to meet you too. i, uh...don't know how to work the code thing. i don't get it! my mind is confuzzled...

~Lilikoifish

P.S. does anyone know an easy way to get a lot of money besides growing fruit trees, diggin up money, growing money trees, and catching Bitterlings...because i can't catch anymore stringfish or anything rare...

Hiya lilikofish... what an odd name. Well anyway, i have an answer to your " how do you get money easily" question. My way of doing that..........

1. Go to your island and pick up all shells and coconuts.

2. If you have another memory card, make another town. If they have diferent fruits, collect a pocket full of your fruit and sell them and your other town. Then take a pocket full of fruit from here and sell it in your town.

3.As mentioned in 1, colect all shells and things from the police station. Also sell the gyroids you dig up.

4. Buy some paper. Maybe 3 or 4 packs, dependeing on how many fosils you have lyling on the ground.... Send thos to the museum and sell them when they get back.

5. If you do a job for someone and you dont absolutely NEED what they gave you, sell it.

6. On raffle day, if you win and dont NEED what you won, sell that too.

7.Shake trees. Just keep shaking those trees.

8. Last but not least, go through your house. If you dont need it or want it, sell it.

i know. i like strange! actually, Lilikoi in Hawaiian means passion fruit, and it's mixed in with koi fish. you DO know what a koi fish is, right? so...it can be Lilikoi fish (passion fruit fish) or Lili koifish (Lily koi fish) harhar!

thanks for those tips! unfortunately...i'm afraid of losing this one character that i love in my town...heehee...shaking trees...i hate when bees come out of them. BTW, can you catch bees with your net? XD

cool! thanks a lot, Elry!

~Lilikoifish

P.S. what does your house look like? does it have a certain series (i.e. the classic series, or the modern series)? how far have you gotten it upgraded? the ground-level floor of my house is Asian themed, and i've upgraded my house 3 times! XD

Wow. A week elapses and I'm starting to feel left out with all the newcomers (welcome, Lilikoifish and Elry). If I could jump back in to the forum and join the conversation. In response to the last post, Lilikoifish, my houses are completed (I actually have two complete houses). My main house has a library first floor, a cabana second floor, and a locker room in the basement. The second house is Cabana first floor, Modern second floor, and hodge-podge basement. As for easy money If you have a Gameboy Advance and a cable that links it to the gamecube, I know a trick to double items.

PS: Nets can capture bees.

PPS: If you are in fear of losing a villager, I can prescribe a whole theorem on the topic of controlling population.

wow...how do you do that? i can hardly even get the third update! i'm not even close to paying the whole thing off, either...T_T

what cool houses...my main floor is an Asian themed floor (screens, Chinese lions, etc.) my basement is just any furniture that i like, so i put it down there. it looks cozy. it has two beds...^_^

my second floor is GOING to have the fruit stuff. that series is just too cute.

yeah, i have a gameboy advance. could you teach me that trick? please?

good...i could use some bees to add to my collection...

cool! you have to tell me that theorem!

I want to know your theorum thingy, too, John.

My GameCube house is Blue on the first story and whatever I want in the second story and the basement. (I'm on the final debt) My second GameCube house is after it's first expansion and has whatever I want that doesn't fit in my other house. My DS house has whatever stuff I have so far and was only expanded once so far. *gets on to pay off more of the debt*

It's an interesting story, Lilikoifish, on how I bought two houses. I made 250,000 bells one sunday morning and bought five thousand turnips for fifty bells each. The peak selling price that week was eight hundred bells. That got me about four million in one go. Over the years, I've let my money work for me and I can afford a new house every now and then.

As for the GBA Item duplication trick, you must have a Gameboy Advance and a GBA/GC cord. Fill your pockets with whatever you want. Money, rare items, rare items worth lots of money. These are the items you will duplicate. Go to the dock and set sail for the island. Drop your stuff and go back to the dock. Have Kapp'n upload the island to your GBA, and this is the most important step. Do NOT press any button on the GBA after it is uploaded. That will screw the whole thing up. When you get back to land, go right back to the island (if he won't let you, just exit the acre and return). When you get there, pick up the items you dropped earlier and take 'em home and drop them somewhere. Now is the time to go to the island on the GBA. It still has the items you dropped on there because it was in a somewhat comatose state. You then go back to the island. Kapp'n will upload the data from the GBA island. That means the items will be there when you get back. You have items on the island, and items on land. Congratulations, you've duplicated.

Now, to catch Bees is very difficult and takes practice. Now, to capture a bee, you must first go behind the tree and shake it. If a hive falls out immediately take out your net. If it lands on the left side of the tree, turn to the right and swing your net (or vice-versa if it falls on the right side). The bees will make a longer circuit around the tree to get to you. Move close enough to them be within catching distance, and let your instict tell you when to swing.

I cannot take credit for the population come and go theory, as it was discovered by Joe Fourhman of Fourhman.com. I will, however, explain it. First off, we have to put ourselves in to the state of mind where we know the villagers are just walking computers. They have no emotion and do not care about us whether they leave or not. Now, to first explain the most common form of moving. The village can only hold fifteen villagers at once. Every two weeks the last on the "list", the fifteenth villager, will be replaced by a new one. Nextly, when you travel, number fifteen will come with you and be replaced by another villager from the town you're travelling to. Fifteen trades with the town you're travelling to's fifteen (same thing vice versa if someone comes to your town). Now, fifteen can be spared by a villager who has recently brought up the "I'm moving" conversation and the mover will travel with you instead. He will kick out the towns fifteenth who will in turn take the same place on the list as your mover's. Here are some slight details that may or may not alter the theory: Mean letters do not make people move, nor do pitfalls, nets and shoving. Also, your town's beauty plays a role in this. If you travel and your town has no flowers, trees, and filled with weeds, then you will not get a villager in return.

I hope all of this has been helpful to you. If not, feel free to ask questions. I will do my best to answer them.

... ... ... ... I need to pull my town's weeds. It's like we have a collection of them or something. (whenever I get on the GCN version anymore, I don't waste my time on weeds)

thank you, Jonathan. that was extremely helpful. thanks. the only thing about the moving thing is that the character i like is the one that brought up the moving conversation! O_O noooo!

yup! infact, my town has too many flowers/trees/etc...

thanks for the info!
