There's a kid in his senior year in high school who does not have a phone. He isn't poor or anything. He's actually quite well off. But he doesn't have a phone.

Ally doesn't have her phone because I'm pretty sure her parents conviscated it for good. I asked her once and she said she didn't have one. That's probably why she stole that sidekick and got suspended last year.

The town newspaper for my town does that sort of thing though, because I live in such a small and pathetic town that they have nothing better to write about. Like two years ago they had in the paper about a boy at the middle school who had slipped another boy some laxatives, and just recently they had in the paper about a 14 year old boy who got in trouble for dealing drugs at school.
