The only hugs that I've gotten was after my caring childhood.Was this sarcasm? If so, what about Malcom Dresden? I doubt he was the aloof type of Dad. Harry must have gotten plenty of hugs before Malcom died.

Also, Elaine. They were implied (or more) to be very close before all things went to hell.

I like it so far. /nodnod/ Except for bits here and there that could use some polishing/correcting. (DuMorne was only Harry's Uncle in the TVverse and this is most certainly bookverse.)

Good for you. I'm entirely too lazy to walk that path. :/ Almost everything I post is a first draft, and I later find tiny ways they could be improved upon. Which I don't usually follow through.

If this was December, I would have volunteered to be your beta. This might actually be one fic I would have liked to beta. XD But I would undoubtedly collapse before getting halfway through a chapter, so it's a good thing this is November.
