"Resting back against a rather well built and warm man?" Barrett told her.

Celestio gestured for Belinda to wait for a moment, before he walked over to Lin, slowly.

"Well, fetch me the priest then" Tristan murmured.

"Like a said, you are rather comfie." Ellie said with a sweet smile as she snuggled up back against him as Amphitrite walked down the roads.

"Nothing's going to happen." he said, "I'm going home and going to bed."

Jade looked over at him, feeling his eyes on her.

Belinda paused, waiting.

Zita nodded and headed to the back of the church.

"Ah, but you said you had important things to attend to, sir." Olivia said with a mischievous smile.

Jacob did not look away, but merely watched, entranced by the firelight reflected in her eyes.

"Yes, sleeping."

Jade looked down, flushing at his attention.

Olivia gave a disappointed huff, frowning. "Oh, alright then."

Jacob raised an eyebrow at her sudden flush, not getting that his staring at her may be uncomfortable for her.

The girl looked over at her brother who shrugged. She looked back at him, "I'm not sure..."

"Well don't if you're looking for good food and a sense of decency," the man huffed, spitting at the doorstep of the bar. "Filthy vagabonds, all of them! I wouldn't recommend it even to the Devil Himself."

"Where should we go instead?"

Neville raised his eyebrows at her.

Jade looked down into her lap.

Olivia gave a disappointed sigh. "I had been hoping that I was not pulled out of bed for nothing. I was looking for a little adventure, but-" she rolled her eyes and turned to leave, "I guess I shall have to wait for tomorrow."

Jacob's gaze returned to the fire after a moment.

Neville shook his head slightly.

Jade sat quietly before glancing over at Jacob.

Barret smirked. "And if I wasn't?"

Tristan quickly ate the meal he'd been given.

Kabel, meanwhile, had started looking around, not too used to Catholic architecture. Her eyes in particular fell upon the stained-glass windows of the church.

Celestio approached Lin.

"Pardon me, Miss Linette?" He said, softly, in English.

"Then I'd make you walk." Ellie said with a firm nod, still smiling though. It couldn't be told from this whether she was teasing, or whether she was serious.

"Goodnight, I suppose." Olivia said with a little wave before turning to walk back to the tavern, dark cloak floating behind her.

Jacob, feeling her eyes on him, looked over at her.

Zita came back after a few minutes with the Priest following her.

Lin looked up, "Yes?"

Barrett snorted. "So as long as you're comfy, that's all that matters?"

Tristan looked up at the priest, before standing up.

"Padre" He greeted, with a nod.

"The girl's cousin, Belinda, would like to see her, if she's ready for visitors?" Celestio asked.

Ellie gave a nod, then thought for a second. "Comfy...and warm. And I don't think you're getting the bad end of the stick either. This just means you get to ride on a beautiful horse instead of walking, and you get to be warm too because I'm sort of sitting on you." she said with a happy grin. "It's a win-win situation either way!"

Neville headed off on his own.

Jade looked away, flushing.

The man bowed slightly, "Signore," he said, "Thank you for coming and healing the sick, you are the answer to our prayers."

Lin looked at the girl, "Her cousin is sleeping, but she can come in if she wants."

Olivia re-entered the tavern and scampered up the steps silently until she knocked on their room's door before entering quietly.

Jacob looked up as she re-entered and smiled. "Did you satisfy your curiosity?"

"Partly...I think I shall investigate a bit more tomorrow, although I am sure the ankou will be quite annoyed with me when I do." she said, not sounding too upset that she would get on the man's nerves.

Jade looked up, "Ankou?" she questioned.

Olivia looked over and nodded. She wasn't running around telling Neville's secret to everyone, and neither Jacob nor Jade knew who was the ankou so she felt no guilt in telling them.

"An ankou is the last death of the year. When that person dies, they are made into a sort of soul collector. I suppose they could be compared to a grim reaper. I do not understand ankous fully, but I have heard of them before and have now met one."

Jade nodded slowly.

Olivia gave a wide yawn and walked back over to the window seat where she curled up again, her cloak dropping to the ground as she wrapped her blanket around her. "Goodnight." she yawned.

Jacob smiled slightly at his sister before looking to Jade. "You should probably lay down as well and rest."

Jade nodded quietly, standing quietly and collecting the two cups and putting them on the tray.

Jacob stretched slightly, his back cracking a bit as the muscles stretched and contracted. He was quite muscular and each movement caused his muscles to be shown off.

Jade set the two cups down, "Would you like another cup of tea before you retire?" she asked softly, looking over at him, her hair falling gently over her shoulder. She seemed to notice his muscles, not used to them from her time back home since her brothers were fluid like her.

Jacob glanced over at her and shook his head, giving a very small smile. "No thank you." he said, watching her hair in its movement before turning back forward and laying down, his muscles rippling appealingly with each movement.

Jade nodded slightly, her robe changing back into her nightgown before she crawled back into bed.

Jacob lay still for a moment, chest rising and falling slowly as he fell to sleep.
