![]() That seems to happen in the books I keep reading. They get rid of all the likeable characters, but the ones you'd love to see die horribly seem to have crazy plot armour. :/ 11/21/2011 #2,971 |
![]() I don't like giving characters plot armour. They die if they must. In that way, I take J. Michael Straczynski's mentality in that I build little drop-out spots around all my characters and, if one has to die (or otherwise vanish), well, guess what they're doing? In fact, in Apotheosis, I axed the reviewers' favourite character. XD 11/21/2011 #2,972 |
![]() Haha. I have a hard time killing off my characters, although in one of the original fictions I'm working on I've decided that my favourite character (in fact, technically my main character) has to die. I think using plot armour with characters is stupid though. People die in reality, whether or not they're a hero. 11/21/2011 #2,973 |
![]() Apotheosis was a bit fun for me to write, actually. I just killed slews of characters off, both characters that I like and that I hated. I agree about the whole plot armour thing. Shit happens, people die. 11/21/2011 #2,974 |
![]() Haha. I tend to kill people off in fanfiction too. It seems less permanent because you can always "bring them back to life" in another story. 11/21/2011 #2,975 |
![]() True, true. It's kind of nice in that you can axe people that didn't actually die in canon and save people that did. XD 11/21/2011 . Edited 11/21/2011 #2,976 |
![]() Mmhmm. Or rectify the really stupid deaths in canon, lol. 11/21/2011 #2,977 |
![]() *Sigh* Yeah. No kidding. There are some characters in certain fandoms that really oughtn't've died and others that I really wish would die in the first few lines of the story. 11/21/2011 #2,978 |
![]() Yes, exactly. 11/21/2011 #2,979 |
![]() At the very least it would be nice if the characters that did die were given more proper deaths. 11/21/2011 #2,980 |
![]() This is what I've done to the thread. 11/21/2011 #2,981 |
![]() I like it when he punches Hitler better. (Sorry for vamooshing, errands needed to be ran.) 11/21/2011 #2,982 |
![]() It was the driving away on a motorbike with a beautiful redhead after punching the guy that was my dream. XD 11/21/2011 #2,983 |
![]() Oh, I see. (I wouldn't mind driving away on a motorbike with Karen Gillan...-ahem-) 11/21/2011 #2,984 |
![]() Well, she is beautiful. 11/21/2011 #2,985 |
![]() She is freaking gorgeous. 11/21/2011 #2,986 |
![]() I'd honestly say that she borders upon perfection itself. XD 11/21/2011 #2,987 |
![]() Ain't no arguing there, brotha. Mmhmmm! 11/21/2011 #2,988 |
![]() Okay. I'm already ready to start shipping against canon for Clannad. Tomoya (the main male character) ends up marrying this girl: http://clannad.wikia.com/wiki/Nagisa But this one is cuter, less whiny, and smarter: http://clannad.wikia.com/wiki/Ryou 11/21/2011 . Edited 11/21/2011 #2,989 |
![]() Don't know anything about Clannad. 11/21/2011 #2,990 |
![]() Basically, while Nagisa is the principle love interest, she's really whiny and kind of annoying. Ryou is neither, and is cuter is my eyes. XD Anyhoo, I'ma go get naked and really wet real fast. I'll be back in like 10-15 min. 11/21/2011 #2,991 |

![]() So, this is what I've done to the thread, apparently. 11/21/2011 #2,993 |
![]() TML WATCH WHAT I CHOREOGRAPHED. 11/21/2011 #2,994 |
![]() Major sign that my boyfriend is arriving tomorrow: I shaved my legs for the first time since my pharmacy school interviews in early October. /TMI 11/21/2011 #2,995 |
![]() A friend of mine writes her essays somewhat like that, and her GPA is 3.6. Obviously, she's doing something right. :/ And then, you have me. I put in days or weeks of work for my papers, and my GPA's at a 2.5. Then again, that's because I only actually tried hard in courses related to my major (which totals up to maybe half the courses I've taken in my entire university career). BYE TIME! ENJOY YOUR NAP! FEEL BETTER! IWILLSENDAWESOMEHEALINGVIBESYOURWAY! I'd totally hug you, but, y'know. Awful sore throat and all. But THANKS! I HAD MY NAP, BUT I'M STILL TIRED. T_T *Has dried and denakified himself* Oh, good. Wouldn't want you returning to the forum in your birthday suit. -nods- /db, making dinner EDIT: Back, if anyone else is around. 11/21/2011 . ![]() HELLO! HELLO! HELLO! GAH, I have beeeeeeen away for sooooooo long! :( Love all of you guys so so so much, miss you to bits! XD Can you believe its nearly Christmas? It's insane how far this year has gone. 11/21/2011 #2,997 |
![]() "YOU GUYS WATCH MY CHOREOGRAPHY. I WILL KEEP POSTING THIS UNTIL EVERYONE WATCHES IT. I DON'T EVEN CARE IF I'M OBNOXIOUS!" Wish I could watch it. Hey Wendy. Thought so, just... feeling really confused about things, so I'm going to join the local anglacan church, and I believe in God, but I also believe in the ancient Gods. I don't know if its poss to be Pagan/Christian (from what I gather, no it isn't:( maybe I can hide the fact that I'm Pagan and show my Christian side) but idk. I know I want to go to church, but I still believe in the other Gods/desses. I'm just really confused about everything right now:( 11/22/2011 #2,998 |
![]() Hey Ariana - (I don't know if we've met...I'm Emily!) - but maybe you could go to some kind of interfaith church? You should believe what you want to believe in and even though it might take some hunting around, I'm sure you can find a church that meets your needs. Good luck! Good moooooorning everyone. 11/22/2011 #2,999 |
![]() Hey Emily, nice to meet you! I've thought of going to church and being a Christian and doing my Pagan prayers/worshiping at home. I don't see anything wrong with that, cause that shows my beliefs in he gods/goddesses. 11/22/2011 #3,000 |
